Place on a wire rack and bake. Serve the steaks with pomegranate sauce.

As for drinks, you must definitely take with you to nature enough clean drinking water, hot sweet tea (or tea leaves and a kettle, which you do not mind smoked over a fire) and something intoxicating. Have a great weekend!

Larisa Shuftaykina

A picnic is a great opportunity to spend time with your loved one or with friends. But what if the winter is cold and snowy outside the window? My solution is to go for a winter picnic :).

Fresh sparkling air, rays of the sun shining on the snow cover - what could be better for a great weekend?

Do not forget to dress warmly, because winter is a harsh hostess and it is not hot at all in her arms :).

By arranging romantic picnic do not forget about the improvement of the territory :). Opt for a nice table and a pair of chairs, but don't forget to use warm throws.

You can bring food and dishes on a sled :). Then you can ride them from the nearest mountain - why not a fun pastime with your loved one? :).

Of course, the main attribute of a winter picnic is hot drinks - cocoa, tea or flavored coffee... Save a thermos and a couple of your favorite mugs for yourself and your significant other.

Take with you a variety of sweets - marshmallows, marmalade, chocolate - this will create a romantic atmosphere. By the way, do not forget to take your camera with you and make a large number of beautiful pictures.

When going on a picnic with friends or children, think about location, fun and food. Choose from a variety of appetizers that you can find recipes for. You can also take on various hot dishes - chicken on skewers, kebabs or baked fish.

An invariable attribute of any picnic is homemade baking... Treat yourself and your guests with cinnamon and honey buns, condensed milk or cherry jam.

Decorations

The winter forest will be even more beautiful if you take care of the appropriate surroundings in advance. Freeze water tinted with gouache in ice cube trays - these “precious” ice pieces can be used to decorate snowdrifts. Hang glass candlesticks on the branches, light candles - this is the atmosphere of the holiday for you.

Treat

What to cook for a winter picnic? The main principle of choosing dishes for a winter picnic is that they must be hot. For children, cook on an alcohol lamp hot chocolate- by all rules, thick and sweet, add marshmallows, marshmallows and whipped cream to the cups. For adults - with spices. Thermo glasses keep your drinks cool and help you keep warm. Sausages, by the way, can be fried directly on sticks planed right here in the forest. Pre-marinated chicken or fish can be easily cooked over charcoal in foil envelopes. Here is a menu for a winter picnic!

Entertainment

Maybe you want to put on a play or draw a treasure map and send the children in search of them? Of course, in this case, it is worth hiding the treasure in advance not far from the place where the winter picnic takes place. Come up with a quest where participants will answer questions or complete tasks, and then they will receive prizes. Make a bird feeder and squirrels and share a treat. And you can also stick on a variety of snowmen (ideas for funny figures made of snow can be found on our website). Maybe the kids will find tangerines growing right on the tree? By the way, you can also let it go in the cold bubble- they freeze and turn into amazing patterned balls, or take a magnifying glass with you and examine the snowflakes.

Outfits

Of course, you will dress warmly - it's winter after all. And also take with you colored fleece blankets - firstly, this way you will definitely not freeze, and secondly, the blanket easily becomes a knight's cloak, a royal mantle, a cape of a magician walking behind a star, or even a curtain on stage. Crowns and tiaras can be worn directly over the cap.

Or maybe you will choose a family look - the same clothes or accessories for the whole company?

One of our fellow gardeners and nature lovers, knowing that I am a fan of winter and summer fishing and hiking at any time of the year, keeps asking me to write about it. True, this year I was busy and did not go on winter fishing yet. I confess I don't like hunting. Unless I chose to take a walk in the forest - on skis, or even without. But as a practitioner-connoisseur culinary delights, I can't help but ask those who go fishing, hunting, walking or hiking - maybe even with their wives and children: a How long have you got together and do you need a snack? And I will offer you something. To be honest, I love hiking and picnics, especially in winter.

In the "hike by car"

Faina Ranevskaya, to put it mildly, did not like ice ballet and field hockey. And I don't like going by car. That is, I have the same attitude to this as Faina Georgievna. We go to walk: "movement is life." Therefore, they put the car in the village with friends - and forward, at least 15-20 kilometers, to some secret or, conversely, a popular and picturesque place: overlooking an ancient temple or lake, a beautiful mountain or hill.

Build a fortress or play hockey, ski, watch the sunrise and sunset from the top. The main thing is a good knowledge of the route, because it would also be nice to return home on time: camping overnight in winter requires special knowledge and practice.

But everything can be mastered by a person whose winter is only on the calendar, but in his heart it is always spring or summer, plus there are experienced friends!

Required equipment

Moving in the cold winter air, and overcoming obstacles - on untouched snow or on a fun, easy track, on foot or on wide, padded hunting skis - in any case requires energy. You can only replenish it if you eat something.

Well, here's to you for a start advice: dry frozen forest burns beautifully. Unfortunately. Better to use a tourist stove, checking the ignition temperature of the fuel. And if you start making a fire, then ... what-what-what? Thermos and sandwich ...? - No, of course you can. A piece of bread with bacon and chocolates is enough for an experienced person. But we go on a hike... So, we need to prepare. Gathering seriously, with an overnight stay, we take hatchet:

You can take bow saw:

Or foldable:

And further! Every adult should have a knife - from 12 years old. Although there is someone who is educated and adapted ...

There are some quite good, sometimes very useful combo pocket tools:

And a piece of polyethylene, 6-8 square meters. And ... but another time, friends!

Jellied meat - in a bottle!

In the once popular book "Lectures of Mr. Poof on the Art of Kitchen" (and under this pseudonym was a philosopher, composer and critic, writer and journalist, inventor and popularizer of science, a contemporary of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, Prince Vladimir Fedorovich Odoevsky), we read a quote from the great French culinary specialist Antoine Karema: “I prepared for one sailor, whose stomach could not bear ordinary ship food, bottles with pure jelly ... up to 50 tablespoons of thick jelly per bottle. Each spoon dissolved in a bowl of water produced a wonderful broth.... In addition, the jelly could be consumed simply with bread. " Well, we already know how to use jelly just with bread. But is it convenient to carry a heavy bottle with you? You can also in a bottle, like this:

And then we need a fire or a kerosene stove, but the most important thing is this item. He will prepare us tea, soup, and many other useful things!

And what can we add to the jellied meat?

First of all, at home, in advance, let us bake beets, cabbage, peppers, all this with an onion. Let it cool - and into the container. We already have jellied meat. Let's breed it in the right amount for a mug of boiling water, add vegetable mix- and we will get a wonderful winter hot marching borscht, just do not forget the spoons and bowls!

Hot food in the open air in winter - fishing, hunting or hiking - has no price at all, and if such a high-calorie and nutritious food, then there are simply no words. The fact is that in 10 minutes of walking in the cold, a person loses about 100 calories. Sometimes it takes much longer to get to the place. So exercise stress, and even the frost is slowly stealing calories. And vodka will only warm up at first, and then freeze ... So the borscht-jellied meat will be simply irreplaceable.

Lithuanian bread

Once upon a time, Lithuanian peasants took special bread to the forest for hunting and logging. Now almost everyone even has a bread maker, and there is certainly an oven and a form in every home. Well, if so - printers ready! Print a recipe for an old Lithuanian bread that gives strength and warms in any frost.

First, remember that baking science-this is the science of proportions... And if the recipe says "a teaspoon" - then a measuring spoon, and no other. We take one and a half scoops dry fast acting yeast , no more and no less. If we are talking about flour, then we need 170 gr. Weigh it on a scale: an error of plus or minus 5 grams is permissible. So, rye flour- 170 g... We measure exactly 230 ml of water, the temperature of which should be 20-25 degrees. We mix everything: this is how we make the dough. Let it stand.

Has the dough grown? Very good. We take a sieve, sift it delicately 270 gr wheat bakery flour - exactly bakery, so it should be indicated on the packaging - and add to the dough. Salt(1.5 tsp), 70 ml of kefir or yogurt, 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced, black and red pepper, cardamom, finely diced (into 5-7 mm cubes) plain rustic Salo and 1 tbsp honey- add everything and start kneading the dough. We knead like a man, firmly, and leave for a couple of hours.

If there is a form, then we coat it vegetable oil, but no - we mold the bread with our hands and make several cuts with a knife along the surface, otherwise our whole structure will burst and burn.

Anyone who has a bread maker can leaf through the manual for the programs: there is a suitable one. And the oven must be preheated to two hundred degrees. Lubricate the bread with a beaten egg - and into the oven! On 30-40 minutes.

Then, taking out the bread, wrap it in a towel and do not touch for about half an hour: the most important fermentation processes take place inside it! If you try it earlier, you will get porridge in the crust.

But if everything is done correctly, then this bread will saturate for half a day with one piece! But who will not take the second one? I have not seen such people, well, except that I myself now eat one at a time - I'm used to it, although I don't get tired of admiring, I'm just no longer greedy. And a bread maker is - well, a convenient thing, and most importantly - it takes less time, although it also has its drawbacks. But the standard oven from the stove has more of them. And if there is a village, and there is a stove, and a grandmother who will tell you ... Specialists must be trusted!

And drink?

You will not die of hunger. But now I’m thirsty. Don't drag a thermos with you: break it again. We already have a kettle - an old copper kettle that will boil in 15 minutes on a decent camp stove. And besides, he will feed them with jellied meat soup, and give the whole company tea, coffee or cocoa. In short, just a song. But we have another surprise for you from our worldwide international cuisine.

Mongolian? Yes. Buryat? Too. Tuvinian? Again, you guessed it. Kalmyk? - again to the point!

Let's drink some tea!

It's good to have a couple with you plastic bottles milk. But you can take milk powder. And ghee - necessarily, one hundred grams. And a piece of a tile of Kalmyk tea. It is also called "green", but in some places it has been preserved in its real, bearish-brown color, in huge tiles. Less and less often, really. But there is.

So, for 75 grams of tea tiles 1 cup of water, bring to a boil, pour in 4 glasses of milk and add a teaspoon of salt, a handful - 10 pieces - peppercorns, spices (cloves will do, nutmeg). Traditional recipe does not recommend putting in Kalmyk tea no sugar or honey. But who will forbid us?

After this drink, it becomes easier to breathe, it will not allow colds and headaches to play out. But it's worth remembering that you can sweat from it.

NB!

In general, dry socks and a pair of dry T-shirts will not interfere with any hike, even not a winter one.

And you should also have a newspaper with you, and preferably a few. Read, broaden your horizons, for example: "Going into collapse, Pupkin street ...". No, of course not for that! Failed into the stream? Into the water on the shore? - Immediately put the victim on a properly folded backpack:

Or (if you decided in advance to sit in the forest longer and you weren't too lazy to carry with you so many, in general, not very heavy objects) on such an armchair:

We make a fire, newspapers - in shoes, socks are carefully dried (and not burned). By the way, you can wash socks in the snow no less effectively than in water, if someone didn't know. And one more thing: at temperatures below 20 degrees below zero, wet socks should be changed immediately!

Have you decided to stay in the forest?

Or are you suddenly caught in bad weather? Well, if you have a tent with you, it is better to have such a device in it:

Throw spruce paws under the tent installation site, do not regret it. Also useful is such a wonderful item as a tourist rug (aka "foam", aka karemat):

Since you have decided to spend the night in the forest, you need lanterns - large - two of them, for example:

And individual - to everyone. Like these ones:

What about souvenirs?

The best souvenir is photography, but the camera quickly becomes capricious in the cold: now a card, now a battery, now a "carcass", now a "long range". The solution is simple: a vest with pockets under a sweater and a maximum of small spare batteries and cards with you!

Well, how without a photo for memory? And what to tell your friends?

Guitars are almost out of fashion, and you can't play in the cold. There are special technical devices and mobile phones with a transmitter function. Tune a small but loud receiver for any noise, turn on the transmitter function - and pleasant quiet music around the fire is provided.

A man who is able to arrange such a romantic trip for a girl, and who has a girl who is not afraid to go with him, is a lucky man. But in the winter in the forest, two or even three pairs of lucky people with experience are better. Note: it has been said not without experience! Go to the kitchen, to the store, the weekend is coming soon! And girls don't like to wait!

On the ski trail

Is the route familiar? Fine. Is the distance long? Forty kilometers? Fine. Is there a ski track everywhere? Also good. Are you picking up your phone everywhere? No? But the walkie-talkie - in any sports store, the consultant will give you all the information about the reliability and the number of channels - very useful thing, come in handy. Then go ahead! A piece of bread with bacon and a piece of chocolate will be enough to recharge your batteries. Do not take sneakers: you will get fat!

Well, a couple more words

So why do you need polyethylene? From it you will make, if the wind rages, a screen that reflects the heat of the fire you made to the place where you throw the spruce paws so as not to sit in the snow. Fix the screen on the poles, which you cut down right there in the forest and fasten it between the two trunks with tape-scotch tape. O! And I forgot something, you see how it happens! But this is the next time and in detail. And if you need to say a few words about the new and old-fashioned equipment, write in the comments! And no problem. Yes, I myself will gladly learn from others.

A winter picnic is a great pastime if you organize the process correctly.

A picnic is a wonderful holiday option at any time of the year. This is an opportunity to breathe fresh air, enjoy the scenery and, even if for a short time, get away from everyday problems. But winter is a rather harsh time of the year. Winter weather conditions require special approach to the organization of such an event.

TO winter picnic you need to prepare thoroughly. It is important to think in advance about the place and time of its holding, prepare all the necessary equipment and, of course, do not forget about drawing up the menu.

How to choose a seat?

Snow-covered nature is a fabulous sight. But walking on such winter's tale is fraught with some difficulties and not everyone can do it. To avoid problems with delivery to the parking lot, it is better to choose relatively easily accessible picnic spots. You should not go deep into the forest in an unfamiliar area. Leave the search for unexplored places for the warmer seasons.

Do not walk through the snowdrifts, do not come close to the cliffs. Don't go out on the ice, fall into ice water in winter it is not only unpleasant, but also deadly.

Schedule the picnic time so that you have time to complete the entire planned program of the event before dark.

If you are planning to combine a picnic with skiing or sledding, think ahead about where and how you can do it and prepare the necessary equipment.

Clothing and equipment

To spend a whole day in nature in winter, you need to seriously equip yourself. Try to dress in a way that is not too hot when moving, but not cold when you are in place.

Remember it's important to keep your feet warm. To do this, wear loose shoes that can be worn with warm socks. In winter, it is best to dress in layers. The more layers of clothing you wear, the warmer you will be there. After all, air layers are formed between the clothes, which warm. It is preferable to wear things made from natural fabrics: cotton and wool.

For winter pastime ski suits that are not blown out, keep warm and at the same time are comfortable enough, because they do not hinder movement, are well suited.

If you are planning an active pastime, do not forget to take skis, sleds, sleds. And of course, don't forget about food. Staying in the fresh air in the cold is very stimulating the appetite, and what a picnic without delicious food!

Picnic food

For the picnic to go off with a bang, you need to think about your daily bread in advance. Take tea or coffee in a thermos. Hot drinks will come in handy. You can make a fire and "make tea", for this do not forget to take a cauldron with you. Use drinking water from your home.

Some of the food can be prepared at home. Make sandwiches - they are simply necessary "for a snack". Take some fruit with you. But barbecue at a winter picnic is quite appropriate, and cooking it in winter is even more pleasant than in summer. To prepare it, you will need a brazier and skewers, coals and firewood, as well as pre-marinated meat.

Any food that you have already tried out in nature in summer time, can be cooked in winter too. But remember that the cooking time at low temperatures there will be a little more.

Do not forget also forks, spoons, plates, napkins, garbage bags.

Bonfire in winter: be careful!

A bonfire in winter is a special treat, but remember that fire can cause burns. In winter, you often want to warm your hands over a fire or warm yourself on a tin mug of tea. But from the frost, your hands lose sensitivity, and you may not feel that you brought them too close to the fire or took too hot a mug. As a result, you can "earn" burns.

Will alcohol warm you?

For many of us, rest is associated with the compulsory intake of alcohol. But if you are going to a picnic in the cold, you should think about whether strong drinks are really necessary?

After drinking alcohol, the surface vessels of the body expand, blood rushes to the skin and it seems to us that we are warming up. But this sensation is deceptive, in fact, at this time, the body is actively giving off heat to the external environment. At the same time, real perception is lost. environment... It seems that it is not so cold anymore. At such moments, the danger of getting burned by the fire or frostbite increases.

In the process of frostbite, we feel numbness and tingling in the affected areas. But under the influence of alcohol, we may not notice the signals that the body gives us. And this is fraught with serious consequences.

If without alcoholic beverages there is no way to do it - reduce their use in the cold as much as possible. And remember, the harder the frost, the more serious the consequences of drinking can be.

Attention weather!

Fresh air is always good for you. The charge of vivacity after outdoor recreation is enough for a long time. But under some weather conditions picnic better to postpone. If outside the window is less than -15, fog, strong wind, blizzard, then it is better to postpone the event until more favorable conditions. You should not put yourself at risk, it is better to wait for good weather and make sure that the picnic is a 100% success!
