For breakfast, children from 1 year old can make milk porridge, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs (after 1.5 years), or a hard-boiled egg. You can serve milk soup with pasta. From drinks you can make tea without sugar or dogrose infusion.

1st breakfast option: milk or milkless porridge  + fruit pieces or fruit puree (add to porridge or separately) + 1/2 boiled egg yolk.

The volume of porridge should be approximately - 150-200 ml. In the porridge add butter 5g.
The drinks: Tea, fruit infusion, juice.

About cereals more:  At this age, you can enter into the baby's diet new porridges - multi-cereal, barley, rye and other special cereals for baby food. From 1.5 years old, you can switch to adult cereals - oatmeal, wheat, millet, and others.

Most useful oatmealmade from whole grains. Next is wheat cerealwhich is made from millet; buckwheat and rice porridge made from brown rice.

It's the easiest way to cook delicious and Useful porridgeWithout resorting to a long process of cooking - it is soak it (this applies to whole grain cereals). We take a saucepan, pour grain and fill it with the necessary amount of water. After a while, the croup will swell up, become soft and will only boil a little until it is fully cooked.

How to cook buckwheat porridge?

1 cup of buckwheat rinse cold water, put in a saucepan and pour 2 cups of water. After 2-3 hours, the croup absorbs all the water in it; all that remains is to warm it, boil it for 2-3 minutes and add salt. Before serving, season butter  or pour milk, although many experts believe that it is undesirable to combine milk with other products. In general, the choice is yours.

Oatmeal Recipe

Also, like buckwheat, soak oatmeal (ideally, of course, it’s better to use whole oatsrather than oatmeal, but it is difficult to find whole oats on the shelves, so we take the usual Hercules oatmeal, indicating the cooking time on the label: 20-25 minutes) in the required amount of water. For example, 1 glass oatmeal pour 2-3 cups of water and leave to swell for 3 hours. This is very convenient if you want to cook porridge in the morning and quickly - in the morning it will completely absorb moisture and break up. After that, put the porridge on the fire, bring to a boil and add 1 cup of milk. Boil over low heat for 10 minutes. Salt and add some sugar or honey. Close the lid and let it brew for a few minutes. We fill with butter and invite children to the table.

Important to remember.

There is a basic rule; a child’s nutrition from one to one and a half years should be four to five times, with intervals of 4 hours between feeding. Observe a fairly strict diet, babya conditioned reflex should be produced.

Ensure that the child receives the appropriate amount of food for his age. So, for a child aged 1 to 1.5 years, he should average 1000-1200 ml, from 1.5 to 3 years - 1400-1500 ml (juices, decoctions and other drinks are not included in this volume).
Reducing the amount of food can lead to malnutrition, excess - to reduce appetite. It is especially irrational to increase the volume of the first dish, which is often done by the parents, if the child eagerly eats soup or broth. To save nutritional value  products must strictly observe the rules of their cooking.

Milk can be boiled for no more than 2-3 minutes, avoiding repeated boiling. When cooking cereals, vegetable purees, casseroles, milk is added to already boiled cereals or vegetables.

Meat after thorough mechanical cleaning is better to cook large pieceby dropping into hot water. At the same time, on the surface of the meat, the proteins collapse and the meat juice does not follow. To fry meat, cutlets should be in boiling fat, which also contributes to the formation of a crust that holds meat juice. The stew is cooked by lightly roasting it and then boiling it in a little water.

It is very important to properly handle vegetables. When cleaning, cut as thin as possible; it is in the upper layers that it contains the greatest number  of vitamins. For vinaigrettes and salads, vegetables should be cooked in their skins in a small amount of water or steamed. Peeled vegetables cannot be left in the water for a long time to prevent the leaching of vitamins and minerals, and they should be boiled in a small amount of water, then using it for food. Cooking time is strictly limited: potatoes, cabbage, carrots are cooked for no more than 25-30 minutes, beets - 1-1.5 hours, sorrel, spinach - up to 10 minutes.
Vegetables and fruits for raw salads  they are cleaned and cut (rubbed) immediately before eating, as when exposed to oxygen of the air on peeled and chopped products, they destroy vitamins, especially ascorbic acid.

A few days later, the child year. By the first year of life, one baby’s milk is not enough. To restore the expended energy, the correct exchange processesand also normal growth and development, it needs to receive daily enough of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, mineral salts and vitamins. All this is contained in various foods of plant and animal origin.

In order for the baby to eat with pleasure, and this is very important for the normal assimilation of food, cooked meals must be not only healthy, but tasty. And those that mom cooked for dinner, should also be easy for digestion.

Therefore, very often the question arises, what to prepare a child for dinner at 1 year? About this and our today's conversation will go on the site "Popularly about health." We'll talk about the general basics of baby food at this age and consider the recipes for cooking some dishes that are suitable for evening meals.

Basics of a one-year-old child's diet

As we have said, for the full development, growth of the baby, maintaining good healthHe needs a full, balanced diet. By the year of his life, he had already met some "adult" products, although the basis of the diet is still dairy.

The baby still loves to attach to her mother's breast. However, I have already tasted cereals on cow's milk, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, kefir and cheese. Increasingly, they give him mashed vegetables, fruits, lean meat, light soups and other dishes.

The main meal is for breakfast and lunch. The afternoon snack is usually a light snack. Dinner should be light, but at the same time, satisfying. In this evening meal should be no later than 1 hour before bedtime.

A few words about salt

If the norm for an adult is 5 g of salt per day, the baby needs 1 g. Therefore, when cooking, only slightly add them.

Harmful sweets

In general, sugar in the children's diet is absolutely not useful thing. You should not teach him to sweets from such an early age. Compotes, juices, jelly is better to cook at all without this product.

But, if you think otherwise, allowable rate  sugar for a child in 1 year - 30 g. Well, in general, many experts recommend replacing harmful refined sugar with fructose.

What to cook in 1 year for dinner?

For dinner, it is better to cook dishes from cereals, vegetables and lean meat (beef, chicken, rabbit). It is best to combine these products, for example: oatmeal with pumpkin pulp, vegetable stew  with meat puree, zucchini souffle with chicken meat  etc.
