Surprisingly, this simple recipe was not at all popular in my childhood. I didn’t eat apple strudel either in cafes or at a party. Strange ... It's very simple! Especially for mine photo recipes.

You can make the dough yourself, but mine apple strudel from the series "unexpected guests", so we boldly use frozen squares of yeast-free puff pastry.

Must-have products:

  • 500 g apples
  • 250 g ready-made puff pastry (1/4 pack, or 1 square)
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons crushed rusks

Additional ingredients, if any:

  • 50 g raisins or prunes

I advise you not to mix right away, so apples produce less juice... We will do this just before laying out the filling on the dough sheet.


Roll out the puff pastry square very subtle... They say the newspaper text should be visible. I roll it a little fatter, but the pattern of the towel can be clearly seen.

We spread the rolled sheet on a towel, grease with a brush vegetable or melted butter the entire surface of the dough, leaving only the edges dry.
