Ingredients:



  • Dry beans 400 g
  • Garlic 3-4 cloves
  • Olive oil 3 tbsp l.
  • Lemon 1 pc.
  • Zira 1 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tsp
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste


Cooking method:

Soak the beans overnight. In the morning we put them to cook over low heat.
At the same time, mix and grind the spices, crush the cloves of garlic and squeeze the juice from the lemon.

Drain the water from the finished beans. Add spices, garlic, oil, lemon juice, salt.

Stir the dish and lightly crush the beans with a spoon. Serve on a pita bread sheet or inside fresh pita bread.

2. Israeli shakshuka


A wonderful variation on the theme of boring morning scrambled eggs. You can add any vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, sausages, feta cheese to the basic recipe. This will be your own recipe based on traditional Israeli. If you like more spicy dishes then use fresh hot peppers... Traditionally, shakshuka is cooked in a cast iron pan. Ingredients:

Heat oil in a frying pan. Put the onion and cook it until transparent. Add sweet and hot peppers, garlic, tomatoes, mashed spices and simmer over medium heat for at least 15 minutes.

In the finished vegetables, we make 4 indentations and drive in the eggs so that the yolk does not spread. Salt to taste. Cover and cook for about 7 minutes.

Another cooking option is in the oven. Pan with ready-made vegetables and with the eggs hammered into them, put them in the oven at 200 degrees. Cook to the desired consistency of eggs.

3. Russian millet with pumpkin


Millet porridge in Russia was a traditional breakfast, but today we almost forgot about this cereal. Millet with pumpkin with all undoubted benefit tasty, satisfying and will be a good substitute for boring oatmeal. Ingredients:

  • Pumpkin pulp 400 g
  • Millet 150 g
  • Milk 600 ml
  • Sugar to taste

  • Butter 50 g


Cooking method:

Cut the pumpkin into small pieces. We wash the millet under running water.

Distribute the pumpkin pieces evenly in the pots, put the millet groats in the same place. Salt, add sugar to taste. Fill with cold milk so that it covers the pumpkin with millet by at least 1 centimeter.


Add a piece of butter to each pot. We put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 45 minutes.

4. Malay nasi lemak


This traditional morning meal is based on rice cooked in coconut milk... It is served with a variety of additives - dried fruits, boiled eggs, fish, pickled vegetables. What to eat with a lemak is the business of the owner of the plate. This dish is filling and even without additives, you will definitely not feel hungry until lunchtime.

Ingredients:

  • Rice 250 g
  • Ginger root 1 cm
  • Turmeric 1/3 tsp
  • Lemongrass 1 stalk
  • Kaffir 1-2 leaves
  • Coconut milk 150 ml
  • Water 100 ml

Cooking method:

Cut the lemongrass and ginger into medium pieces.Put lemongrass, kaffir in a saucepan, pour oil. Add some water. We put on medium heat. Add rice, turmeric and stir.

Pour in the coconut milk, add the ginger, the rest of the water and mix well again.
Cover with a lid and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
