Now is the time to make such a cabbage salad with corn, because it is at the beginning of summer that young cabbage heads of the new harvest appear on sale. They are so tender, juicy and tasty that even such a simple salad tastes great. And despite the fact that it has only two main ingredients, it is really wonderful. It can also be attributed with full confidence to the vitamin, and its one more plus - the salad turns out to be quite satisfying and is prepared in literally 10 - 15 minutes. The combination of young fresh cabbage and canned corn is very pleasant and harmonious. The addition of greens makes the dish flavorful, while the olive oil and homemade apple cider vinegar dressing adds a mild savory flavor.

Ingredients:

  • small forks of young fresh cabbage
  • 1 jar canned corn - 400 gr
  • 1 small onion
  • any greens
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Cooking method

Thinly chop the young cabbage for the salad with a sharp knife, salt and lightly mash it with our hands (we rub the autumn cabbage more thoroughly until soft) so that it gives a little juice. Add to it thinly chopped onions, corn (with which we first drain the liquid) and finely chopped greens. Stir and season the salad with olive oil and apple cider vinegar, gently stir again. Remember that such a dish does not like a long wait and cook it just before serving. Bon Appetit.
