12.04.2019 Salads

What could be better than sitting over a cup of tea and stroking an affectionate pet, listening to its purr?

This is the kind of pastime offered by a cafe with cats in Moscow. What services are included in the price list of these establishments?

Cats and people

This cafe opened quite recently - in April 2015. And gradually it became so popular that it grew into a network of two establishments. Addresses:

  1. - Gilyarovsky 17
  2. and Novaya Basmannaya 3.

The establishment is young. Initially, 9 cats lived in it, which were always at the service of visitors. But today the staff of tetrapods has expanded: there are about 40 of them.

Customers can expect a pleasant stay and discreet service here. They are invited to lie down in a hammock, read a book, drink coffee. Drinks and biscuits are included in the admission price. The cafe at the very beginning deliberately refused to serve restaurant dishes, since it is very difficult to combine animals and food for people from the point of view of sanitary standards. All cats are vaccinated, neutered. The cafe works more like an exhibition where you will be served tea or coffee for entertainment. Recently, the institution has expanded the list of dishes to include delicious desserts... However, food is limited to this: then communication with cats begins.

The institution is designed for 18 people. If there are more people willing at the same time, they will, of course, be accommodated, but other guests will have to make room. You can get here only by appointment, so every client counts. On the territory of the cafe you cannot wear shoes or torture animals. The idea of the establishment is that the client comes to the cats and should make friends with them, and not vice versa.

The interior design is quite simple, made in country style. It is this kind of environment that helps guests to escape from pressing problems. Hourly payment: from 60 to 100 rubles per hour.

The plans of the organizer of the establishment include creative meetings, discussions of problems concerning cats.

The cafe offers board games, guided tours of cats, as in a real exhibition. Board games on the theme of animals are also offered to children. On the territory of the cafe, you can spend a birthday, having previously discussed the program with the organizers.

The cafe allows cats to be taken home. But before that, the interested person undergoes a serious casting. So do not hope that the pet will simply be given to you without finding out everything about you.

Malt

Another cat cafe is Malt. The address of the institution is Kosmonavtov street, 12. However, the rules of conduct are much simpler here, and it resembles in its structure more restaurant, on which cats simply walk freely.

Here you can order international cuisine, which will take an average of half an hour to cook. Dinner in a cafe costs from 500 to 1.5 thousand rubles, depending on what dishes were ordered.

The cafe has a veranda, air conditioning, so everyone will be comfortable. There is a separate menu for banquets. Takeaway can be ordered.

Kotofeynya

Another cafe with cats, which is located on Maroseyka street, 10. The atmosphere in the cafe is more like a children's playroom. There are lockers with board games, books, and game consoles. You can come here with own work or entertainment.

And, of course, cats reign around. The structure of the establishment is in many ways similar to the description of the previous ones: there are recreation areas, and places for cats, and even a separate room for them, where people are not allowed to enter.

The cost of such relaxation is from 4 to 8 rubles per minute. Optionally, you can purchase a subscription. The guests admit that time goes by completely unnoticed here. The reviews about the institution are positive, the rest is quiet, family friendly, the service is unobtrusive.

LaMour

Hello everyone!

I really love cats, so when I found out that a cat cafe was opening in Moscow, my happiness knew no bounds. I have already heard a lot about similar establishments in Europe, and dreamed that something similar would be opened here. I've been here 5 times already, so I think it's time to tell you about this place too.

ё I will not indicate the exact address, I advise you to find out it on the official website, since the "seals" have moved several times + now it is not just a cafe, but a network.

The cat-cafe works according to the anti-cafe system, that is, here you pay for the time spent, and tea, coffee, cookies are all free. For an additional fee, you can refresh yourself with something more serious.

At the entrance to the cafe you will be asked to take off your street shoes and change into local crocs, and you will also be asked to disinfect your hands. If you are here for the first time, the staff will tell you about the rules of conduct, introduce you to the cats and answer all your questions.

The interior here is beyond praise, absolutely everywhere there is a cat theme. There are tables with chairs, poufs for visitors, but all the best, of course, for cats: all sorts of houses, baskets, loopholes, scratching posts.

What surprised me is that there is no smell of cats here at all, everything is very clean. The cats themselves are very well-groomed, a veterinarian comes to them regularly, so there is no need to be afraid.

I know that many people do not like such establishments, because often animals play the role of an attraction here, and they are very stressful due to the constant flow of people and squeezing. I can say that this has not happened before. The first time I got into a cat cafe almost immediately after it opened. The employees gave instructions and made it clear that I did not come for my own entertainment, but to visit the cats, they cannot be forcibly squeezed and taken in their arms until they themselves want it, and sleeping cats cannot be disturbed. The flow of people was regulated by booking seats, and there was also a strict rule regarding visiting children: they were allowed only from the age of five and only during daytime hours on weekdays. Now all this has changed a little, but more on that later ...

By the way, this place is intended not only to brighten up your leisure time, you can also find a friend for life here: any kitty can be sheltered. Sometimes even kittens are brought here, which, in my opinion, is important for those who, for some reason, are afraid to take an adult cat.

In addition to the fact that here you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the presence of fluffy animals, visitors can entertain themselves with books, board games, and there is also Wi-Fi. With the growing popularity of cat cafes, the program has become much more interesting: from time to time there are evenings dedicated to a certain breed of cats. People from catteries come, bring their cats and tell a lot of interesting things about them. One of my trips to the cat cafe I timed to coincide with the presentation of the British cat breed, I really liked it! Various master classes are also held here, but I was not particularly interested in this topic, so I can't tell you anything specific.

Unfortunately, such a rosy atmosphere did not reign for long, and with the growing popularity of the institution, workers began to worry more about money, and not their furry wards ... A year ago, my husband and I decided to go to the cat cafe once again (it was a weekend evening), booked a place and came to the appointed time. Already approaching the building, we saw through the windows that there were too many visitors, we could not even enter right away, because the room for changing shoes was too small for such a number of people.

Finally, having entered, we really could not get any comfort from visiting the cats. There were so many people that there was nowhere not only to sit down, but even to stand, and I am already silent about communicating with cats. Almost all of them hid on the highest shelves or even went to their room, where they eat and go to the toilet (visitors are not allowed to enter there). I also drew attention to the huge number of small children, although earlier, as I wrote above, they could visit this institution only during the daytime of weekdays. They ran all over the territory of the cafe, shouting, and two of them even squeezed the cat into a corner and poked toys in its face ... And none of the employees paid attention to it !!!

Of course, the impressions of the visit were ruined, and my husband and I hurried to leave. Since my indignation knew no bounds, I left my review in the VKontakte group, is it worth it to say that it was hastily deleted? But since I still wanted to receive at least some comment on this situation, I sent my letter to them by e-mail. This time I have already received an answer. I was told that the restrictions on children no longer apply, and such a large number of people due to the fact that I came at a fairly popular time. But why, then, on the site there is a reservation of seats, if everything is launched in an unlimited flow? By the way, before writing this post, I went to the official website of the cat cafe, and no longer found the booking columns ... As for the behavior of children and the lack of response from the staff, I was told that I was at the peak of the visit, and the staff were too loaded. As compensation, I was offered a free visit to their institution ... I did not answer anything ... I was unpleasant that it was initially real a good place turned into a petting zoo, and that instead of listening to the comments, they decided to shut my mouth with a free visit. But I love cats too much to give in to this ...

If you still really want to visit this place, then I advise you to come in the morning on weekdays. But I'm not here anymore!

Thank you for your attention and see you soon!
