Why is honey poorly soluble in water? The simplest ways to discover impurities

25.04.2019 healthy eating

16 hours ago by 24medok April 3, 2011 The winter was cold and with little snow. Spring came quickly. The winter went well. 2 families (last year's swarms) from 250 hives died. On the same date there was an intense flyby. Bees eat honey throughout the winter, there are years when the bees do not fly out of the hive for more than 200 days, during which time their intestines overflow and they really want to go to the toilet. These spots on the roof are the "poop" of bees, it is correct to say bee diarrhea. And I will show propolis, which buyers often consider to be bee poop, in the next message:)

Summarizing the data of analyzes of honey samples for the past period of 2012, we are forced to state a catastrophic increase in cases of honey falsification.

Unfortunately, by specific gravity falsification in trade, we came close to the situation described in the encyclopedia of Brockhaus and Efron, published at the end of the 19th century: “In Moscow, according to Villaret, cheap varieties of honey (up to 20 kopecks a pound) turned out to be all consisting of a mixture of molasses and potato flour; chalk and sawdust were added to some samples. Honey, the price is from 30 to 45 kopecks. per pound, was adulterated mainly with potato molasses, cane sugar and flour. Natural, without impurities, honey could be bought only for 50-90 kopecks. per pound."

New technologies in the manufacture of artificial honey

However, it is not even the amount of counterfeit that causes particular concern, but the use of new technologies and substances used in the manufacture of counterfeit products. Honey counterfeiters who worked in the 19th and 20th centuries look like timid students elementary school compared to armed modern technologies swindlers - real professors of falsification. If, as follows from the quote above, it was mostly cheap types of honey that were faked before, now fakes are sold as exclusive, like special honeys. highest quality at exorbitant prices.

The taste, color, aroma and consistency of modern fakes satisfy the requirements of the most demanding customers who consider themselves honey connoisseurs.

Syrup, potato flour, chalk, sawdust, cane sugar - these are substances from ancient gypsy amusements. Biotechnology, different kind thickeners and gelling agents, enzymes - this is what modern falsifiers operate on. The taste, color, aroma and consistency of modern fakes satisfy the requirements of the most demanding customers who consider themselves experts in honey. Boasting to their neighbors about the purchased honey and talking about where and from whom you can buy such a miracle, they do not even suspect that they have acquired a fake, which, in best case, can be called confectionery but not natural honey.

    Examples of falsified (fake) honey

Here are some examples of falsifications that were submitted for testing to an independent accredited laboratory LLC "Analytical Center Apis" by buyers and the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights of Beekeeping Products "Apigard".

Natural honey should contain pollen grains

Consider a sample of a typical counterfeit - crystallized honey of excellent oily consistency, great taste, white color. The content of OMF is 18 mg/kg. honey, diastase number 7.0 units. Gotha, total acidity 0.8 cm3. It seems that everything corresponds to the current standard for natural honey. However, no pollen grains were found. What is it, not honey or the so-called ultrafiltration, in which all pollen grains are removed? Ultrafiltration is an expensive pleasure and pays off when processing hundreds of tons of honey, in addition, according to our information, there are no installations for honey ultrafiltration in Russia.

In natural honey, fructose is always more than glucose.

Further, the mass fraction of reducing sugars is 75.1%. This is already a clear discrepancy with the current standard for natural honey, according to which the minimum limit for this indicator is 82%. Let us assume that the mass fraction of reducing sugars is not an indicator of the naturalness of honey. The composition of reducing sugars, more precisely the ratio of glucose and fructose, can clarify the question of the naturalness of honey. Natural honey contains more fructose than glucose. In the test sample, the content of fructose is 35.6%, and glucose is 39.5%, i.e. glucose contains much more, and this is already clear sign unnaturalness.

Natural honey completely dissolves in water

It is known that natural honey, liquid or crystallized, must be completely soluble in water, and the resulting solution must be transparent. The tested honey does not completely dissolve in water, and the resulting solution turns cloudy. This indicates the presence of impurities in honey. In the photo (Fig. 1): on the left - a transparent solution of natural crystallized honey, on the right - a cloudy solution of falsified crystallized honey.

After filtration, the adulterated honey solution becomes transparent, and mechanical impurities in the amount of more than 1% remain on the filter. The presence of water-insoluble impurities in such an amount is a violation of the current standard for honey. Impurity analysis showed that it is a gelling agent used by scammers as a thickener for honey and giving it an oily consistency.

We deliberately do not name this substance, as well as other substances found in the samples described below, so as not to tempt dishonest dealers and not to expand the production of counterfeit.

Natural honey at a temperature of 30 degrees begins to bloom

The test sample does not dissolve when heated to 60C. This explains the fact that such a fake easily tolerates summer temperatures: no stratification, while natural crystallized honey begins to bloom at a temperature of 30C. This circumstance also indicates the unnaturalness of the product.

The following photo (Fig. 2) shows a number of studied samples of adulterated honey.

Azbuka honey - fake honey shop

    Sainfoin honey from Azbuka honey

The first from the left is the inscription on the label: "ABC of honey" (obviously trademark), "Sainfoin" - crystallized honey, dazzling white in color, excellent oily consistency. The content of sucrose is 1.2%, reducing sugars - 87.8%, OMF - 3.0 mg / kg of honey, diastase number 8.2 units. Gothe, total acidity 0.5 cm3. The listed indicators meet the requirements of the current standard. Despite the name "Sainfoin", sainfoin pollen was not found, but linden pollen grains are present. Doubts about the naturalness of the product are caused by the opacity of the solution (a flask on a container with honey) and the ratio of glucose and fructose. In the test sample, the content of fructose is 41.7%, and glucose is 46.1%, i.e. contains more glucose, and this is already a clear sign of unnaturalness. The content of insoluble impurities is more than 1%. At 60C, honey does not bloom. The same signs of unnaturalness as in the previous sample.

The photograph (Fig. 3) shows the solutions of the studied samples (upper row) and the same solutions treated with iodine. The first sample on the left is a solution of natural crystallized honey. After treatment with iodine, it acquired a yellowish color. The second on the left is a cloudy solution of "sainfoin honey", after treatment with iodine it became red-brown, which indicated the presence of a certain type of gelling agent in it.

Honey with propolis from Azbuka honey

In the photo (Fig. 2), the second sample from the left is the inscriptions on the label: “ABC of honey”, “With propolis”. Green product. Again, there is an excess of glucose over fructose (47.2% and 44.3%), as well as all the signs of unnaturalness of the product described in the previous case. The aqueous solution is turbid and has a pronounced green ring in the upper layer of a substance lighter than water, clearly not of bee origin.

    Clover honey from Azbuka honey

In the same photo, the third sample from the left was sold as crystallized clover honey, and the fourth sample from the left is the foam of the same honey, which had to be removed from the container before the bulk of the honey could be reached. Clover pollen grains are present. There is an excess of glucose over fructose (47.2% and 43.7%). The solution of this honey in water is cloudy, the content of water-insoluble impurities is more than 1%. After exposure to iodine, the solution acquired a reddish-brown color, which indicates the presence of a gelling agent. At 60C, honey does not bloom.

    Linden honey from Azbuka honey

In the photograph (Fig. 2), the fifth unnamed specimen contains linden pollen grains. At mass fraction water 20.2% has an oily structure and a solid consistency, which indicates the presence of a gelling agent. Natural creamy honey room temperature and a mass fraction of water of 20.2% becomes so soft that it cannot keep its shape and spreads. The solution of honey is turbid, the content of insoluble impurities is more than 1%. A substance that does not react with iodine was used as a gelling agent.

Conducted studies have shown the possibility of detecting counterfeit simple ways accessible to consumers even at home.

    Checking honey at home:

To check the naturalness of honey, consumers can recommend the following actions:

    1. Dissolve honey in water (if the honey is natural, the solution should be transparent);
    2. Filter the solution (the presence of a residue on the filter indicates that the product is unnatural);
    3. Add iodine to the honey solution (any discoloration other than yellowing will indicate the presence of non-beekeeping impurities);
    4. Keep the container with a sample of honey in a water bath at a temperature of 40C for 1 hour (if the honey does not bloom, you have a fake).

Cream honey is faked more often

As noted above, all samples of adulterated honey were crystallized honey with the most delicate texture, i.e. cream honey. Obtaining natural cream honey is aerobatics in honey processing technology. stable production quality natural cream honey requires knowledge of all the intricacies of the crystallization process, compliance with technological, temperature conditions, special equipment and laboratory control.

The discrediting of a whole area of natural honey processing is outrageous.

The article considers samples of only falsified crystallized honey, because this is a new direction in falsification. However, among liquid honey cases of falsification also become more and more.

    Fake liquid honey

    orange honey

An example of adulterated liquid honey is Orange honey. Pollen analysis showed the absolute absence of Pomeranian pollen. Pollen of chestnut, linden and sunflower was found. Mass fraction reducing sugars 55.8%, against the normative 82%. Such a shortage of reducing sugars does not indicate the poor quality of honey, but already a falsification. Glucose content more content fructose: 28.7% versus 27.1. Both the absolute values of the indicators and their ratio speak of falsification. If we add to this the content of OMF - 36% and the value of the diastase number of 3.2 units. Gothe, then a picture emerges of a product that has no right to be called natural honey.

Only the consumer can stop counterfeiting!

It is possible to stop counterfeiters in the conditions of legal lack of rights in matters of quality that prevails now in the state, only with the help of consumers who will refuse to purchase counterfeit. To do this, consumers should be informed, by all possible means, about the signs of adulterated honey and how to detect it.

To prepare water with temporary hardness (alkalinity and calcium hardness), you need a piece of chalk(CaCO3). However, chalk does not dissolve very well in water and most of the added chalk settles to the bottom as a sediment or floats undissolved. This article will tell you how you can dissolve the right amount of chalk.

    About chalk and carbonate system

If you are too lazy to deal with the chemical principles of dissolving chalk, you can safely skip the theoretical part.

    Step 3

Look at the resulting water profile. If you compare it with the Düsseldorf profile we talked about above, you will see that they are very similar. This is not always lucky, since the brewer does not have access to the full range of combinations of cations and anions, that is, various salts. In this case, you should focus on matching the residual alkalinity and the content of calcium, sulfates and chlorine in the water.

    Step 4

Now it is time to enter the total water volume and the volume of water in the mash. The calculator will calculate the volume of wash water based on this data. You will also need to enter the weight of the grain bill, which will allow you to calculate the density of the mash.

Once you enter the color of the beer into the SRM and indicate how much roasted malt is used, it becomes possible to calculate the pH of the mash. In our case, this is 5.5, which fits perfectly into the acceptable range of 5.2 - 5.7. The bottom right mash pH chart also displays the estimated amount of residual alkalinity (RA) that would be needed to reach pH 5.2, 5.4 and 5.6. The wide range of additional CaCO 3 required: from -100 to 200, demonstrates how different water can be used to brew beer with a color of 20 SRM and a mash density of 4 l/kg.

    Step 5

The required amount of salts is calculated based on the volume of water determined earlier. Since I am not able to prepare all the water I need at once, I have to prepare mash water and wash water separately. But for those who can afford to make all the water at once, the calculator calculates salts in the same way for the entire volume.

Since we're talking about dissolving chalk, the "dissolving chalk" section is of most interest to us. You enter in it the volume of water in which you plan to dissolve the chalk, and the calculator calculates the CO 2 pressure required to dissolve the right amount chalk. Striking is the non-linearity of the relationship between the chalk concentration and the pressure, which grows at a tremendous rate as soon as the chalk concentration reaches the limit of 750-800 ppm. Practically, this concentration is the upper limit of the solubility of chalk and in order to dissolve more chalk, you will have to dissolve it in more water.

If possible, I prefer to dissolve the chalk in 2 liters. bottled them under soda water, which I did in this case. I used 1.9 liters. for dissolving chalk under the mash water and 1.6 l. for wash water and I needed only 1.55 bar (23psi) and 1.38 bar (20 psi) respectively. These are absolute values, which means that atmospheric pressure is also included in these numbers, in other words, when I put carbon dioxide into the bottles, my pressure gauge should read >0.55 bar (> 8 psi) and > 0.38 bar (> 6 psi), because it measures pressure that is greater than atmospheric pressure.

    Preparation of brewing water

Figure 5. Items needed: 2 l. bottles, soda cap, funnel, measured amount of salts and water. I wrote on the bottles the number of the brew for which I am preparing the water, and I also marked the “brine” for the wash or mash water.
Figure 6. Insert the funnel into the bottle and pour salt through it into the bottle.
Figure 7. Pour in water. The water will wash away any remaining salts that have stuck to the funnel into the bottle. Even when the required volume of water approaches 2 liters, do not fill the bottle up to the neck, leave space to facilitate the dissolution of carbon dioxide in the water.
Figure 8. Install the carbonating cap, open it and squeeze all excess air out of the bottle. Removing the air and replacing it with CO 2 will allow the carbon dioxide to dissolve much more efficiently, since all free space will be filled with CO 2 .
Figure 9. Put CO 2 into the bottle through the regulator and shake the bottle thoroughly to better dissolve it. Keep shaking the bottle until the gas flows into it. After the water is carbonated, if necessary, top up with water and carbonate again. Do the same with the other bottle.
Figure 10. After the water has stood for a while, it should become clear. A little turbidity is acceptable, but no sediment of chalk on the bottom, which again makes the water cloudy when shaken, should not be observed. If the water does not clear, pour half of the bottle into another, doubling the amount of water, and carbonate again. Perhaps the concentration of chalk is too high to dissolve it all with the pressure of CO 2 available to you.
Figure 11. The day before or immediately on the day of the brew, I mix the brine with the rest of the reverse osmosis filtered water to get the desired volume of mash water, and a little later I do the same for the rinse water. Even though the CO 2 is now allowed to leave the solution, the chalk will not precipitate too quickly. Because it is now dissolved in a very large volume, it will take a long time for enough CO 2 to precipitate chalk out of solution. You will see that CO 2 comes out more rapidly when heated, but as long as the water does not boil, enough CO 2 is retained in it to keep the chalk in solution.
Figure 12. If you measure the pH of the resulting water, you will see that it is higher than what you would expect from sufficiently alkaline water. This low pH is the result of the presence of large amounts of carbonic acid, however, this does not affect the alkalinity of the water. I tested the alkalinity and hardness of the water with the GH&KH test kit

It has long been talked about how it is useful to drink more clean water. Modern people they forget that for the normal functioning of all organs, it is this liquid that is needed, and not tea or juices. Especially great benefit brings water with honey in the morning. Reviews of those who tried to drink it note that it is possible to get rid of many diseases and improve work. gastrointestinal tract. Even official medicine recognizes the benefits of such a drink. How can this be explained?

Benefits of drinking water on an empty stomach

Many doctors say that most often violations in the work of human organs are associated with a lack of fluid. Dry skin, headaches, malfunctions nervous system, constipation and decreased performance - all this happens due to dehydration. Therefore, it is so beneficial to consume at least two liters of fluid per day. Of particular importance is water drunk on an empty stomach in the morning. During the night, the body loses a lot of fluid, toxins accumulate in it. Drink a glass of warm water in small sips. He'll get used to it quickly. This will help restore the water balance in the body and wake up faster.

Pure water renews the composition of the intercellular fluid, dissolves and removes toxins. It helps to normalize the work of all organs and improves metabolism. In people who have made it a rule to drink a glass of water in the morning, constipation disappears, digestion normalizes and efficiency increases.

What are the benefits of honey

And why is it recommended to add honey to water? This unique product, although avoided by many for fear of getting an allergic reaction, remains one of the most useful natural remedies. It contains a large number of vitamins and microelements, a lot of easily digestible carbohydrates and glucose, organic and inorganic acids. Since ancient times, honey has been used to treat many diseases and just as nutritional product. It contains glucose, which is completely absorbed by the body and immediately converted into energy.

The use of honey improves the composition of the blood and hormonal background human, strengthens the immune system, stimulates the brain and metabolism, and also helps to normalize sleep and resist stress. But not all people use honey correctly, because when added to hot tea his beneficial features are greatly reduced. Therefore, warm water with honey is best for health. It contributes to a better assimilation of all useful substances. Many doctors recommend such a solution to get rid of certain diseases (in the absence of allergic reactions).

    Features of honey water

To prepare healing drink, you need to dissolve a spoonful of honey in a glass of water. Boiled is not suitable for this, as it is "dead". For these purposes, it is better to take any mineral water without gas from bottles or tap water passed through a filter. Natural honey dissolves in water quickly and without sediment. It turns out a 30% solution, which has amazing properties. It is close in composition to human blood plasma, which is why it is so useful.

Cold water with honey forms special cluster bonds. It turns out a structured liquid that immediately penetrates the cells, normalizing their work. Melt liquid has the same properties.

What temperature should honey water be

The only condition is that this natural product cannot be added to boiling water. High temperatures destroy most of the vitamins and minerals in it. Warm water with honey is best absorbed. If you drink it in small sips, useful substances quickly enter the bloodstream. But the best cleansing properties are cold water with honey. Its benefits are enormous, because it is in this combination that a structured liquid is formed, close in composition to human blood plasma. You need to drink it in one gulp, so it quickly enters the intestines and does not lose its properties, immediately absorbed into the blood. But in general it is recommended to drink liquid at a temperature that is pleasant to you.

    Benefits of water with honey

According to doctors, the liquid in question has the following advantages:

It helps to cope with herpes and colds because it strengthens the immune system.

Normalizes bowel function and eliminates constipation (this is due to the fact that honey water dissolves feces and well cleanses the body of toxins).

This liquid has a mild choleretic effect, normalizes the functioning of the liver and gallbladder.

What else helps water with honey in the morning? Reviews of many people who have tried this remedy speak of quick deliverance from bronchitis and chronic rhinitis.

    Significance for the brain

AT modern world The human brain is under a lot of pressure. From the abundance of stress and a variety of information, nerve cells are depleted. For their recovery and normal operation nervous system, the human body needs glucose. It is found in vegetables and fruits, and most of all in honey. The amount of glucose that is necessary for the normal functioning of the brain cannot be obtained from ordinary sugar.

Best for the body necessary quantity glucose water with honey in the morning. Reviews note an almost instantaneous effect, because it is immediately absorbed and enters the brain with blood. This helps to wake up faster and immediately get involved in the work mode. A person becomes active, active, can easily withstand stress.

    Benefits for the digestive system

Many are familiar with the problem when, after eating, one feels heaviness and pain in the abdomen, feels nauseous in the morning, other symptoms of improper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract appear. The state of immunity depends on the health and normal functioning of the intestine. Most diseases occur due to slagging of the body. Therefore, the intestines begin to work worse, dysbacteriosis develops. The best remedy to deal with it is water with honey in the morning. Reviews about it indicate that a few days after the start of the reception, a person feels incredible lightness, constipation disappears and digestion improves.

Honey has the ability to dissolve feces, settling on them with crystals. After that, all the slags that have accumulated over the years gradually come out naturally. Water with honey is also able to dissolve stones that many people have in the gallbladder, in its ducts and pancreatic ducts.

In order to fully manifest the cleansing effect of honey, you need to drink its solution immediately after waking up, before breakfast. If you take it in one gulp, then the sphincter of the stomach will immediately open under the pressure of the liquid, and it will wash away the remnants of undigested food from the walls, thereby cleansing it. After that, the drink will wash the duodenum and enter the intestines, where it will immediately be absorbed into the blood. Therefore, water with honey on an empty stomach is so useful. Reviews of this solution note that the stomach then works better.

What can be added to the drink

honey water can be enriched with the following components:

It is very useful to dissolve honey in combination with other bee products. Honey water with propolis will help to cope with inflammation, pollen improve performance digestive system, a royal jelly quickly restore a diseased liver.

Water with vinegar and honey is very useful. AT folk medicine it is used in the treatment of many diseases. To prepare a medicinal mixture, you need to take a spoonful of honey and apple cider vinegar. Dissolve them in a glass of water. This solution helps with sore throats and joints, with heartburn and indigestion, lowers cholesterol and slows down the aging process.

A common weight loss remedy is a mixture of honey and lemon juice dissolved in cold water. At regular use such a drink, the body is cleansed, metabolism improves and weight is slowly but steadily reduced.

The optimal time to take the remedy

When honey is diluted in water, a solution is obtained that is very similar in structure to liquids. human body. Therefore, it is believed that you can drink it in unlimited quantities. But the most useful water with honey in the morning. Reviews of those who use such a solution for some time are only positive. People say that they feel better, their working capacity has increased and many diseases have disappeared. Water with honey at night is also useful, especially for those who are prone to swelling. Honey is hygroscopic and attracts liquid, so the kidneys rest at night after drinking such a drink.

Buying natural honey becomes a difficult task, because even in small apiaries, careless beekeepers mix real honey with artificial. When you're not sure where the honey you've purchased comes from, being able to check its quality can be very helpful. Do you want to buy real honey? Honeycombs and smiling bees on jar labels do not mean that the product inside is anything like real honey.

What is useful in natural honey?

Not without a reason honey and it healing properties so widely used. carbohydrates, organic acids, essential oils, derived from nectar, polyphenolic compounds, proteins, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and folic acid - all this contains honey. And about 300 more useful substances acting on the human body. Honey has been called liquid gold, not only because of its color, but mainly due to its preventive and healing properties.

The taste of real honey - sweetness and a sensation of scratching in the throat

A lot depends on taste. Beekeepers and connoisseurs, having tasted honey, can determine which bees produce a delicacy, determine its age, the way it was preserved, and feel flavor additives which should not be in real honey. Honey without additives is very sweet at the beginning. Once the natural aromas are released, it allows you to identify the herbs from which the honey was made. You should feel a slight burning sensation in your mouth and your throat will begin to scratch, as it were, especially if it is buckwheat honey.

If honey is tasteless, we are dealing with artificial product made with water and sugar.

    Testing honey for naturalness

The first test is toughness. Scoop up the honey with a spoon and turn the spoon high above the saucer. If the honey flows evenly, the stream does not break and forms a cone on the plate, it is natural honey. The consistency of artificial honey will be more liquid, flow intermittently and spread on a plate in a uniform puddle.

The second test is dissolution. Take a cup of cold water and put a teaspoon of honey in it. If the honey dissolves unevenly, creating streaks in the water, you can be sure that the honey good quality. artificial honey dissolves evenly and quickly.

The third test is weight. Liter jar honey should not weigh less than 1.4 kg.

The fourth is crystallization. Liquid honey can be stored for up to a year, but it should crystallize a few months after harvest. This is a natural process that always happens if the honey is natural. Crystallization does not affect it nutritional value or therapeutic effect. The time it takes to harden depends on the type of honey. Acacia honey has the longest shelf life in liquid form. Other varieties of honey should crystallize before the end of the year in which it was harvested. Artificial honey does not crystallize - this is one way to check the quality of the product.

Unripe honey: how to determine the maturity of honey

Honey with a high water content of more than 20%, not yet mature (with the exception of honey from clover, heather and acacia). After collecting nectar, in honeycombs, in the microclimate of the hive, the process of maturation takes place - the evaporation of water and the decomposition of complex sugars into simple sugars. After 4-5 days, the bees close the combs, protecting the finished honey from evaporation. If the beekeeper wants to speed up the process and harvest the honey too early, with open combs, it will not ripen properly. The maturity of honey is determined by its density. At a temperature of 20 degrees, a stream of honey should flow lazily, forming a cone when it falls on a plate.

Is it possible to heat honey

If the honey crystallizes and you wish to make it runny, you can reheat it by placing a jar of honey in a saucepan with warm water(temperature should not exceed 25 degrees Celsius). In this case, honey must be mixed with a wooden spatula. Remember that honey, when heated to temperatures above 40 degrees, loses its beneficial properties.

The honey you are going to use medicinal purposes, must be first of all natural and of high quality. It goes without saying that in this case it is not allowed to use honey with signs of fermentation, foaming, specific smell and taste.

Usually sellers in the market give a little honey to sample and the above signs of a poor-quality product are hard to miss if you just pay a little more attention when buying it. It is much more difficult to organoleptically distinguish high-quality honey from low-quality honey, i.e. such honey, in which an unscrupulous entrepreneur added sugar in order to increase the profitability of his business. Here sight, taste and smell can let us down. And this is very disappointing, because sugar, artificially introduced into honey, can largely reduce the therapeutic effect of the treatment.

To prevent this from happening, I recommend that when choosing and buying honey, use very simple test. Take with you to the market an indelible pencil with a non-sharp lead, so that the line it leaves on the paper would be, as they say, "fat"; and I also advise you to take with you a sheet of bad writing paper, on which stationery ink usually blurs, or a blotting paper from a school notebook. Why you need to take just such a paper, you will soon understand.

Honey, which will be offered to you for testing, the seller will put on a small piece of wax paper. Dip the badly sharpened end chemical pencil in a drop of honey for 15-20 seconds, and then run it over a sheet of paper prepared in advance at home and watch for 5-10 seconds what the trace of the chemical pencil will eventually turn out to be. If sugar was not added to the honey that you are testing, then the line on the paper will be black, like from a simple pencil, and nothing will happen to it during the experiment.

In the same case, if sugar was added to the honey, the following metamorphosis will occur with the line: it will take on a purple ink color and blur into a wide stripe.

Such a reaction of a chemical pencil on fake honey due, of course, not to sugar itself, but to water, in which scammers are forced to dissolve sugar before adding it to honey. If a granulated sugar just pour it into honey, then it will not dissolve and the honey will not take on a presentation. Therefore, before adding sugar to honey, it is dissolved in a small amount of water, preparing thick syrup, which already mixes easily with honey. It is to the water in which granulated sugar is dissolved that the chemical pencil reacts.

However, if you run an indelible pencil on the waxed paper that is not wetted by water, which is usually used for hygienic purposes by sellers, giving you honey to sample, then even in the case of a closed sugar syrup the honey streak left by the chemical pencil will not blur or turn blue for a very long time. This is due to hydrophobicity - the water-repellent properties of this kind of paper. On it, even from a chemical pencil well moistened with water, at first there is a clear black line. That is why paper should be stocked up at home. And loose paper, which has a pronounced hydrophilicity, that is, the ability to absorb water. Medotherapy as a way to normalize the work of the large intestine.

As one of the ways to normalize the acidity of gastric juice, I propose medotherapy, which consists in regularly taking honey in a certain way at a certain time before meals.

How to take honey? In medical and preventive purposes with increased acidity of gastric juice, honey should be taken by dissolving it in warm water with a temperature not higher than 40-42 "C, so that the destruction of the most valuable organic substances that make up honey does not occur. It is not necessary to measure the temperature of the water in which you are going to dissolve honey every time. Water having a temperature of up to 40-42 "C is not yet burns lips, with more high temperature already get burned. With reduced and zero acidity of gastric juice, honey must be dissolved in cold water (room

    temperature).

You can take honey up to 150-120 g per day, but you need to completely abandon sugar and sugar-containing products.

Honey is taken four times a day. Three times before the main meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner and the fourth time half an hour before bedtime. How much honey you take per day - 50, 100 or 150 g, you decide for yourself. How much honey to put in a glass for 150 g of water - 1.2 or 3 teaspoons - you ask your stomach. Start with one spoon. If you like it, try two, maybe it will be even better, then try three, but this is the limit - there are good reasons to believe that your pancreas will not approve of further increase in the amount of honey. If two teaspoons is too much, go back to one.

So, I hope that honey should be put in a glass of water (warm or cold, depending on your acidity), stirred until completely dissolved and drunk before meals, we have learned firmly.

This is very important condition medical therapy, because patients with zero acidity drink honey 5-10 minutes before meals, those with low acidity drink honey 15-20 minutes before meals, those with normal acidity - 1 hour before, and, finally, patients with high acidity of gastric juice, in order to normalize it, they should drink honey 1.5-2.0 hours before meals.

By the way, this technique is good not only as a way to prepare for colon cleansing, but also as an independent method of treating gastritis of any etiology, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, as well as cholecystitis. But as any therapeutic treatment has its own time limits, so medotherapy cannot last more than 1.5-2 months, once every six months. A few more words about bee honey. Honey has a natural, slightly laxative effect on the intestines, which will allow you to have regular daily stools.

I'm not afraid to repeat myself, but this method of preparing the colon for cleansing is not applicable with concomitant diabetes and allergies to honey.

For such patients who need to correct the acidity of their gastric juice and improve the functioning of the digestive system, I recommend using one of the following sets of health exercises.
