  What can you love this salad for? At least for the unusual design and as a maximum for the incredibly tasty result of efforts!
  Prepare Salad "Hedgehog", a recipe with a photo with chicken and Korean carrots, by applying layers one by one. The last layer is made out with nothing more than an ordinary Korean carrot.

- chicken breast without bone - 300 gr.,
- onion - 1 pc.,
- refined sunflower oil (for onion passivation) - 2-3 tbsp.,
- pickled mushrooms (best mushrooms) - about 200 gr.,
- eggs - 3-4 pcs.,
- cheese - 200 gr.,
- Korean carrots - about 300 gr.,
- mayonnaise - to taste,
- salt, pepper - to taste.

For registration:

- honey mushrooms - 1 pc.,
- allspice - 2 peas.

  Salt the water in which we boil the chicken breast. When it cools, cut.




   We clean chicken eggs (previously boiled) and grate, it is better to use medium.




  We also rub the cheese ourselves.




  Separately, pass our onion using refined oil. Preferably, the onion was chopped in half rings. And we cook it, bringing to softness and a light golden hue.






  Without excess oil from frying, mix the chicken with passivated onions and mayonnaise. On a salad platter, put it in the form of a drop - this is our basis for a hedgehog.




  Next, spread mushrooms on top (without marinade),




  a layer of grated eggs (optional with spices), and apply a small layer of mayonnaise on top.




  Next comes the cheese, and again the mayonnaise.






  At this stage, carefully, since it is worth watching what form is obtained, the front part should also remain unlubricated, because we still have to make a pretty face. And the last stage, the greased part (everything except the front teardrop-shaped area) is completely covered with Korean carrots. And the rest (our muzzle) is decorated with 2 balls of allspice, we attach them so that we get eyes, and with a hat from one honey open we make a nose. Decorate with herbs.



Boil chicken until cooked and let cool. Cook the potatoes in their uniforms, peel them. Hard boiled eggs and clean.

Cut the peeled onions into small cubes and fry until golden in vegetable oil.

On a flat plate, we begin to lay out the salad in layers, giving it the shape of a hedgehog. Rub the potato on a coarse grater, put it on the plate with the first layer, grease with mayonnaise.

We throw the mushrooms in a colander and let the liquid drain. Spread the mushrooms on top of the potatoes.

We spread the fried onions on the mushrooms and tamp a little.

Finely chop the chicken fillet and spread on top of the onion, salt and grease with mayonnaise.

The next layer spread finely chopped or grated eggs, greased with mayonnaise.

We spread the cheese grated on a fine grater with the next layer, and gently press it, finally forming a “hedgehog”.

We spread Korean carrots on top of the salad in the form of "needles", make eyes and a nose for our hedgehog and put in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Before serving, decorate the salad with chicken, mushrooms and Korean carrots with herbs. The dish is very tasty!

How to make a hedgehog salad with chicken

  1. Boil the fillet until tender, not forgetting to salt the water. Allow the chicken to cool, then divide it into thin fibers or chop finely.
  2. Cook eggs, peel and rub using a coarse grater.
  3. Cheese is also rubbed with large chips.
  4. Having removed the husk, chop the onion in half rings. Fry in refined oil until soft and a golden hue.
  5. After draining the excess oil, add the chilled onion to the chicken meat. In a separate bowl, mix with mayonnaise, and then on a large plate we spread the resulting mass in the form of a drop (the base of the future "hedgehog"). You can adjust the portion of mayonnaise yourself, taking into account personal preferences, but it is advisable not to save much sauce so that the salad does not turn out to be dry.
  6. Drain the marinade, put honey mushrooms on top of the chicken layer (put some mushrooms for decoration of the salad). This layer is left without mayonnaise.
  7. Next, distribute the eggs, optionally sprinkle with salt / pepper, and then apply a thin layer of mayonnaise.
  8. Cover the egg layer with cheese, not forgetting to keep the shape of the salad. Lubricate with cheese mayonnaise all cheese chips, with the exception of the front part, which will serve as the "muzzle of a hedgehog."
  9. We spread Korean carrots on the surface of the salad, hiding all the previous layers under it. Leave open only the "face of the hedgehog." It will take a couple of hours for the salad to completely soak, so after cooking we send it to the shelf of the refrigerator.
  10. Before serving, we make out the salad so that it becomes more like a “hedgehog”. From the olives we form “eyes” and “nose”, put some pickled honey mushrooms on the “needles”, and lay out parsley leaves on the edges of the plate to simulate the grass.
