Lavash of all kinds is baked in large quantities by private mini-bakeries and cooks in the ready-to-eat departments of supermarkets. It takes about an hour and a half from kneading the dough to getting ready-made sheets or cakes, and another hour is needed for the product to come to the desired condition, because oriental bread is not eaten directly from the oven. But for those who are still interested in the principle of cooking, and those who decided to take this step, we will be happy to tell you how to act correctly and achieve the desired result without much effort.

The first thing I want to say is that you can knead the dough for pita bread both with your hands and in a bread maker in the cooking mode for pasta or noodles (for yeast-free sheets) or in the cooking mode for yeast dough. How to knead?

The dough is left on the table and allowed to rise a little, after which it is divided into several parts and cakes of the required size and thickness are formed by hand.

The dough can be prepared in a sponge and non-steam way.

In the bezoparny method, the yeast is dissolved in sweet-salted water, and then combined with flour and the dough is kneaded.

With the sponge method, the technology of making the sourdough dough is repeated, only yeast is used instead of bread sourdough.

The finished dough is divided into portions and, without the help of a rolling pin, give the desired shape, after which it is laid out on a baking sheet and allowed to come up a little.

How to bake?

The dough layer is placed in a dry frying pan or baking sheet, and then kept until one side dries. It will take about a minute to dry the dough: during this time, the dough will turn from light to fried.

The formed cakes are baked until tender for half an hour in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius. Some housewives use multicooker with a baking function for making oriental bread, and the quality of the lavash in them is also excellent.
