Zebra pie is one of the simple and at the same time beautiful dishes that even a teenager can master. Many first met him at school in home economics lessons. Its trick is that it turns out striped in the cut, which invariably surprises guests. And the secret is just a couple of spoons of cocoa and the correct laying out of the dough.

Zebra Pie

Cheerful zebra pie in a slow cooker is baked in almost the same way as it is simply in the oven. There are many ways to cook it, and each housewife has her own tricks. Here are some recipes.

Zebra pie in a slow cooker. Classic recipe

You will find out that baking in a multicooker is not at all difficult when you try to make a zebra cake in a multicooker using our method. A step-by-step recipe for this cake will help you. For the dish we take:

  • sugar - 1 glass;
  • flour - 1 glass;
  • egg - 3 pieces;
  • butter - 100 grams;
  • cocoa powder - 2 tablespoons;
  • baking powder - 1 tsp;
  • vanilla sugar - 1 tsp

Dough preparation

The classic Zebra cake recipe includes a number of simple steps:

  1. Beat three eggs with a glass of sugar until thick foam. Better to do this with a mixer.
  2. We mix half a packet of warm butter with them.
  3. Combine a teaspoon of baking powder with a glass of flour and gradually add everything to the eggs, kneading everything until smooth.
  4. To make our zebra dark stripes, we need a chocolate dough. Therefore, we divide the whole dough into two halves, and in one of them we put two tablespoons of cocoa powder (usual, "Nesquik" will not work because of the sugar it contains). It will turn out a duet of black and white - even now to the savannah.

How to bake properly

At the final stage, we wipe the multicooker bowl from the inside with oil and start making the actual "zebra". Pour a full spoonful of unpainted dough into the bottom of the mold, and a full spoonful of chocolate into the center of the "blot". So over and over again, until all the dough comes out. In no case do we mix anything! If desired, with a toothpick, another pattern is applied on top of the resulting circles.

The Zebra pie is cooked in a slow cooker on the Baking mode for an average of an hour. After the timer beeps, keep it inside for another 10 minutes.

Important: you cannot open the lid while you bake the biscuit, otherwise the dough will fall off. Please note that we give the average time, and you should take into account the features of your particular multicooker, written down in the instructions and found out from personal experience.

As you can see, baking it is not difficult. We carefully remove the prepared cake from the mold and sprinkle it with powdered sugar for beauty - alas, it is difficult to get a golden brown crust in a slow cooker.

You can cut the pie into pieces while it is still hot and eat or let it cool first. Caloric content - about 340 kcal.

This is a classic Zebra recipe, and there are many others - with sour cream, with kefir, various additives.

  1. Add eggs with sugar to a deep plate and beat with a mixer to the mixture increased 2-3 times and became a light color. The splendor of your dough depends on the duration of whipping eggs with sugar.
  2. Add refined vegetable oil. Beat well again. We turn off the mixer, we will no longer need it.
  3. Pour in a glass of flour and a pack of baking powder. Stir everything with a spoon from top to bottom to get a homogeneous mass. Dough divided into two equal partsby pouring one part into a deep bowl.
  4. To the first part of the test add half a glass flour and knead well with a spoon.
  5. In the second part add half a glass cocoa (The amount of cocoa can be increased or decreased, depending on how rich you want the chocolate flavor). Also knead gently from bottom to top.
  6. We prepare the multicooker before adding the dough. Lubricate the bowl with butter. Let's proceed to the most interesting and important stage: we will make a "zebra".Observe the order of adding the dough: chocolate dough, then light dough, again chocolate dough, then light, etc. The dough is poured alternately directly into the multicooker bowl.

  7. I will describe this process in more detail: take the chocolate dough and put 2 tablespoons of the dough in the center of the bowl. Then spread the light dough - 2 tablespoons directly into the center of the chocolate layer. Then again put 2 tablespoons in the center of the light layer and repeat the process until the dough is finished.
  8. Be careful not to blend the layers. It should be familiar to everyone water circles effectwhen we throw pebbles into the water. By adding the next dough to the center of the layer, the first circles blur to the edges of the bowl.
  9. Let's start forming a picture on the future cake. We will draw a patternin the form of a flower. Take a bamboo skewer and dip it into the dough from the edge. The skewer must reach the bottom of the bowl. This creates a zebra effect. Edge to center skewer, in the center we stop and take out the skewer from the dough. Again, we draw a skewer from the opposite edge to the center, stop and take the skewer out of the dough. We repeat this two more times.
  10. In the next step, we will draw lines from the center to the edge. We do it in four directions. You will see how the flower is made. The drawing is ready, now you can start baking the cake.
  11. We close the lid of the multicooker (I have Redmond). Zebra cupcake in a slow cooker will be cooked in multi-cook mode(temperature 125 degrees). We indicate 1 hour of cooking, you can also choose Baking mode. It all depends on the model of your multicooker.
  12. After the multicooker signal checking the cake for readinesswith a toothpick. We pierce it in the middle, and if the toothpick remains clean, then everything is ready and you can take out the cake.
  13. I i take out the cake as follows: I put a sieve for steam cooking in the multicooker bowl and turn the bowl over. I leave the cake on this sieve to cool.
  14. Put the finished cake on a flat serving plate. Bon Appetit!

How to serve a cake correctly

In my opinion, this cake no need to decorate, because the painted flower on the surface of the cake is a wonderful decoration anyway. But when I want to give this cake to children, I water it chocolate icing... Children lick the chocolate first and then start eating the cake. I will share the glaze recipe.

For the glaze we need:

  • Cocoa powder - 3 tablespoons
  • Sugar - ½ cup.
  • Milk - 5 tablespoons
  • Butter - 40 grams.

Add cocoa powder, milk, sugar to the pan. Heat over low heat, whisking constantly. After 2-3 minuteswhen all the ingredients have melted, add the creamy butter and mix again with a whisk. If the mixture is very liquid, boil it a little. Turn off the fire. After 10 minuteswhen the icing cools down, pour it over our cake.

From above can still be added whipped cream roses or sprinkle with grated chocolate. Condensed milk can be served separately to the cake in bowls.
