Another "incarnation" of the bar from the "Fidel" store. Once this opened almost opposite the store on Zvezdinka, then. The fate of both is similar - they closed after working for about six months. Hopefully this time, with the support from Food and Culture, the project will be more successful... Very little has passed since the opening - a little over a week, but we will try to evaluate and compare with the “past” :).

One of Fidel's features, as I understand it, is "Folk", but high quality beer... In the first bar it was, if memory serves, "from Lyskovo", at Avtozavod they "danced" from "Khamovniki", and here there will be (?!) Assortment from the store and, in particular, beer from the relatively young Nizhny Novgorod brewery Butch & Dutch (part of the "Food and Culture" holding), the price of which is just slightly higher than the main assortment, lower than the "cool" craft. The quality is usually high and interesting varieties are brewed.

Well, well, we saw in our visit obscenely cheap for the center of Nizhny Novgorod "Zhigulevskoe" ( 52 rubles per mug) and several varieties from Butch & Dutch for 88 rubles. Very happy. For a bar on Alekseevskaya, which is very close to Pokrovka, very, very tasty prices. There is beer in bottling and at what is called the usual cost - 148 rubles per mug. Well, a couple of refrigerators with bottled craft from 200 rubles for lovers of "real" craft (declared "about 100 varieties", honestly, I did not count). But for, so to speak, serious craft projects, I would walk along Alekseevskaya a little further to "", although, perhaps, the offer will be expanded here as well.

We drank Schwarzbier, which suits both lager lovers and advanced beer geeks, as for our taste :). And we tried Hopy Wheat (experimental brew). Expectedly tasty.

It seemed to me that there are more taps than the beer offered. Should the beer line expand !? More beer, inexpensive and tasty!!! And more delicious snacks. We tried the croutons. 160 rubles, the portion is usual, the taste is also… usual. More specifically "for beer" they offer capelin, cheese balls, wings (all this is from 120 to 260 rubles)

But the principle is followed. After all, pleskavitsa in the Balkans (not only in Serbia it is common) is a meat cutlet (not bread :), with a roll and additives. A kind of burger, but closer to a healthy lifestyle. Literally a few weeks ago I returned from Serbia and Montenegro, so I have some idea :). Other types of burgers are also offered. And for some reason one of them is called "moussaka"! Which personally misleads me, but, as they say, the owner is a master. If only it would be tasty and go well with the beer :)

Not quite typical for a bar - offer a business lunch from 150 to 250 rubles. And its composition is also not quite typical: the same pleskavitsa, mutton tongues, homemade cheese and so on.

The furnishings in the Fidel bar, in my opinion, are made in a youth-creative style. In the first room there are some incomprehensible niche shelves not evenly filled ... There are graffiti on the walls. Bright, not boring.

Well, what a bar today is without screens with football. There is one in the large hall and even in the small one. During UEFA EURO 2016, beer was even poured for free for the correct winners. Trying to attract fans and interested ones!

On the evening of my visit, which was Saturday, everything was busy with cheerful and noisy guests. Every now and then there were the joyful screams of the winners and the clink of beer glasses.

You can play absolutely free of charge, but you cannot book one of the tables. Whoever did it, he ate it. The playing area has several sites at once. FIDEL ’CLUB regularly hosts championships for fans of active games, including beer-pong - beer ping-pong.

The second hall is a lounge area with hookahs and a cocktail bar.

And FIDEL 'also makes cool hot dogs. Firstly, they are large and satisfying, and secondly, which is especially nice, the cooks make sausages themselves from meat, and do not buy paper ones in the supermarket. It's the same story with burgers. The menu has separate items for those who don't eat meat: burgers with hot dogs are also vegan.

And the most important thing is beer. There are more than 150 varieties of it, including 12 draft ones. From 62 to 1800 rubles. The cheapest in "Fidel" costs 62 rubles for 0.5. No, this is not a typo, the prices are real. I don’t know anything of the kind in the city.

My favorites are "Belgian Wheat" and dark Schwarzbier. I liked the first one for its bright and at the same time light taste and density. Schwarzbier for me personally, it is simply beyond competition. I love it when beer has a bitterness and a "fried" aftertaste.

About California Ale they say that it is with him that it is best to start acquaintance with craft. Warm aroma of oranges and caramel, very pleasant to drink.
"Atomic laundry" from the JAWS brewery seemed aggressive and tough, the option is definitely not mine. Two more varieties that did not fit in the photo are cider and cherry beer. About both I can say briefly and succinctly - fire! And this is not only a woman's topic, men also drank with pleasure.
