Today I will be preparing an online salad recipe called “The Bride”. Why Bride? I do not know. Probably it's all about his tenderness and airiness. And the light tones of the components, most likely, also play a role.
Preparing a salad is very simple, and despite its festive name, it is great for an everyday lunch or dinner.
Everything is very simple. I immediately put the processed cheese into the freezer (this way they will be grated better). I boiled eggs and potatoes until tender.
I removed the skin from the chicken leg and separated the meat from the bones. By the way, if you wish, you can take the ham, not smoked, and just boil it.
I cut the onion into small cubes and pickled it in hot water (6 tablespoons) with the addition of vinegar (3 tablespoons). I also added a pinch of sugar and salt to the marinade. I left it on for 30 minutes.
I have already used such pickled onions in a salad with an omelette ribbon.
Separated the whites from the yolks, peeled the potatoes and finely chopped the chicken fillet. All components are ready, you can start assembling the salad.
I must say right away that it is better to collect the salad right away in portions in small salad bowls or bowls. Since it will be difficult to grab each layer from a large salad bowl.
I didn't know this in advance, so I did it as follows:
The first layer I laid out the chicken fillet and covered it with a net of mayonnaise. It is very easy to make a mayonnaise mesh if you make a small hole of 2-3 mm in a bag with mayonnaise.
I poured the marinade from the onion and laid it out in a second layer, this layer does not need to be smeared (the onion is already juicy).
With a third layer, grated potatoes on a coarse grater, salted a little, pepper and again made a mayonnaise mesh (add a little more mayonnaise here than in my photo).
IMPORTANT: It is unnecessary to apply salad layers! This will make the Bride salad more airy.
The next layer is rubbed with egg yolk, without mayonnaise.
He took the curds out of the freezer and also rubbed them on a coarse grater. I applied a net of mayonnaise.
With the final layer, rub the egg whites. You can decorate the salad with parsley if desired.
