And if you take them to a cafe, then as a filling can be various ice cream, whipped cream, soft caramel and a bunch of fillers.

It so happened that not far from our hotel on a small street on Gough Street is one of the most popular "waffle" cafes in Hong Kong - "Oddies Foodies". The institution, frankly speaking, is small ( which is not surprising for the city center), but light and therefore does not "put pressure" on visitors. Instead of tables, there is a counter with crowns, for 8 people, but no one really sits up in the cafe, they mostly buy takeaway treats. Such a long and steep staircase leads from Queen's Road Central to Gough Street, but at the end of the hard climb, a delicious dessert awaited us in a cafe.

We also ate puff ice cream in a can, but forgot to take a picture, so only an illustration from the menu.

Perhaps the only weak point of Oddies Foodies was the service - it did not reach the highest mark. For example, out of three or four of our forays into a cafe, the coffee machine worked only once, but I am sure that everything will work out over time, we will definitely check it on the next visit.

Well, what here is for you small article update… On our next trips, we visited Oddiz Foods several times and came to the conclusion that the current management is simply killing the cafe. Yes, it is popular, as it is fashionable to say "place of worship" or "mastsi" ( must see) and his management earns on this, but a sober look from the side ( i'm so modest about myself) shows a sad picture. Apparently, they could not fix the coffee machine and now they do not even offer a fragrant drink. Of other drinks - water is the maximum ... Ice cream in beautiful cones, which lured visitors from the window at the entrance, disappeared somewhere ... In short, if the managers do not wake up and continue to work in this style, the cafe will sink into oblivion! I hope this does not happen.

In general, wildly upset after another visit to Oddies Foodies, we decided to look for something similar in the area, so that it was not far from the hotel. I didn't have to search for a long time - literally next to Oddiz on Queen`s Road Central there is an excellent cafe BB Egg Waffle ... Well, it is still difficult to name a cafe in the conventional sense, since there is very little space inside the premises, literally so that a couple of people can sit down while an order is being prepared. But it doesn't matter, because you can eat delicious waffles with great pleasure while walking around.
