1. Basis - truffle mass (like a potato cake)

The biscuit is cooked in the microwave in 5 minutes:

2 eggs, 1 tbsp. beat sugar.

Add 0.5 tbsp. oil, 1.5 tbsp flour, 1 tsp soda, 2 tbsp cocoa, vanillin.

Beat again, bake in the form of about 22 cm, suitable for the microwave, at full power for 5 minutes.

In the meantime, make a fill for the truffle mass:

Melt 100 g of butter with 0.5 chocolate, then add 0.5 cans of condensed milk. Stir.

The biscuit is slightly cooled and while warm we cut into small squares, mix with filling so that it can be sculpted. If necessary, add condensed milk. I also added chopped prunes

Now from the truffle mass we sculpt the base for the rose, the cone and leave it to freeze in the refrigerator. It took me 15 minutes to bake and prepare the base of the cone:

I did not cover the base for this cake with cream on top, which is usually done for mastic cakes, because the rose petals will cover all the bumps and they will not be visible. We roll the mastic, the petals will be round, sometimes I cut the bottom and left a semicircle. Using a ball tool, make the edges of the petals thin:

We start from above. We put on the top of the cone a small round piece of mastic. Then we impose the first petals, which we do not bend. I had 3 of them.

We continue to lay the petals until we get a rose.

Sugar Mastic Recipe

The master class is taken from the site http://povary.ru

In order to make such decorations on the cake you need to use mastic. Mastic is milk, chocolate, sugar (gelatin), marshmallow, marshmallow mastic. Sugar mastic used here.

The rest of the mastic recipes can be found here http://katrai.ru/post128816030/

500 g icing sugar

10 g of gelatin

50 g of water

Lemon juice (citric acid).

1. Soak gelatin in cold water for 15 minutes.

2. Then melt it (in no case do not boil, otherwise it will lose its properties).

3. Sift the powdered sugar, gradually add to the gelatin,

Kneading well to get a uniform white mass

Mastic should not stick to your hands. If it turned out sticky, add some more powder, and if it crumbles, then lemon juice. In general, it is better to immediately take 2/3 of all the powder, and add the rest gradually. If lemon juice has not been worked with mastic, it is better not to add it - mastic is whiter from it, but also dries faster. For starters, you can add a little glycerin or butter to the mastic; it will not dry so quickly. Mastic needs to be kneaded for 10-15 minutes.

4. It should turn out a plastic mass resembling plasticine.

5. Tint at the end of the batch, if the dye is dry it must be diluted in a few drops of water.

Materials needed to make a rose at home in the photo:

  1. Using nippers, bite off a piece of floristic wire No. 30 4 cm long and bend its edge into a ring.

  2.   (banner_banner1)

Knead sugar mastic for making flowers and roll into a small ball. The diameter of the ball depends on how big the flower you want to make. I will have a big open rose, so we make the base large. Through the middle we stretch the prepared wire so that the mastic on top only slightly covers it.

  3. From a prepared ball we roll a cone-shaped bud and let it dry well for several hours.

  4. Knead the next part of the mastic and use the rolling pin to roll it into a very thin layer. We make the first petals the smallest cutting, we need 3 of them.

  5. We separate the petals and on a soft mat with a metal ball of a size convenient to you, we thin the edge of the petals as in the photo.

  6. Brush the petals with food glue or vodka. Lubricate the lines, as in the photo.

  7. Glue the petals on the bud oppositely one to one.

  8.   (banner_banner2)

You should succeed, as in the photo. Leave the bud to dry.

  9. We make the next step of the petals: we knead part of the mastic and use the rolling pin to roll it into a very thin layer, by cutting, slightly larger than the previous one, we make the following petals, we will need 5 of them.

  10. On a soft mat, we thin the edges of the petals and glue it on the bud, laying one on top of the other with a small step as in the photo.

  11. Similarly, make the following petals. 5 more pieces, just thin the edges, twisting them with a toothpick.

  12. We dry the rose petals on plastic spoons for 30-60 minutes, depending on the humidity in the room.

  13. In order to make our rose more open and voluminous, we make the last 5 petals on a wire base: we cut wire No. 24 3 cm long. We put on it a small amount of sugar mastic rolled into a ball and roll it with a rolling pin first back and forth along the wire, and then to the sides.

  14. We cut the petal, twist the edges with a toothpick and dry.

  15. When our petals have dried out sufficiently and will keep their shape well, glue them on the bud with 5 petals of each step, slightly superimposing the next on the previous one. After gluing the five petals, let the bud dry, then glue the next five.

  16. In the same way, slightly overlapping the petals one on the other, we attach and the petals on a wire basis, twist them using the green tape.

  17. From the mastic of green color, using the cutting, we make a sepal. Stretch it a little and thin it on a soft mat with a metal ball.

  18. After that, glue it at the base of the rose, as in the photo.

  19. We tint the rose petals with dry food paint, applying it with a wide brush with movements from the edge of the petal to the center.

Stages of making roses from mastic:

  1. Initially, it is necessary to carefully roll out the dough prepared in advance for modeling with a rolling pin.
  2. After completing the first stage of work, we proceed to the manufacture of petals-blanks for the future rose. To do this, take the round shape of the size you need and begin to squeeze out circles from a thin layer of mastic.
  3. We spread 5-6 circles in one line, slightly stepping each blank on each other.
  4. Using the stacks, we make small indentations in the center in the test and at the same time attach the circles to each other. It turns out something like a spikelet.
  5. Gently twist the finished strip into a tube.
  6. In conclusion, cut off the extra tail and straighten the petals of our flower.

The whole stage of step-by-step production of roses from mastic is also presented in the photo:

Lush rose of individual petals

This MK is intended for those who have been engaged in modeling flowers from mastic for a rather long time and have already gotten their hands in this difficult task. It will be a little more difficult for a beginner to master the method presented below, but, as you know, nothing is impossible. With great desire and desire, the implementation of roses in this technique will be within the power of even a novice amateur confectioner.

To make a lush rose bud from individual petals, you will need the following ingredients and materials:

  • mastic prepared in advance for the cake;
  • a round shape for cookies or an ordinary glass or a glass;
  • rolling pin (plastic or wooden) for rolling the mass for modeling;
  • stacks for forming petals.

The successive stages of sculpting a magnificent rose:

  1. We begin the work of making a flower by rolling out the sweet mass on a table or a special plastic rug for working with mastic.
  2. Gently, using a mold or a glass, squeeze out round petals.
  3. We give each petal an original and natural look with the help of stacks.
  4. We begin to form a bud. To do this, take a small amount of mastic and make a small middle center out of it, resembling an elongated cone or an ordinary drop in shape. After that, carefully wrap our billet with the first petal.
  5. We attach subsequent petals to each other, gradually wrapping the core and forming a lush bud. As the flower grows in size, the petals should be twisted a little to give the bud a more natural and expressive shape.

A magnificent rose for cake decorating is ready!

A bud made in this way turns out to be quite large, so be sure to consider this fact when choosing the necessary number of flowers to create a composition that will decorate your cake.

Two-tone roses from mastic

Making two-tone flowers using a sweet mass for sculpting is not an easy task. This option is not suitable for everyone, but it's still worth trying to fashion it. In addition, this method of decoration, in contrast to the use of solid buds, will highlight your cake or cake and make it brighter and more appetizing.

Making roses from mastic is very simple, you must first divide the mastic into small pieces, then roll thin circles out of them, then squeeze along the edges, grease each leaf with water, and attach to the middle.

I really liked this video, on it we made a cake from marzipan with my daughter, only marzipan is harder to roll thinly, it immediately breaks. We got such a cake.

Mastic allows you to turn a cake into a real work of art. Talk about the colors for decorating the cake. The most beautiful flower is, of course, a rose. Therefore, we will pay attention to this particular flower.

To begin with, I propose to see photos of cakes decorated with mastic roses in order to catch a fire on the desire to make such beauty yourself:

And now a master class on how to make roses from mastic to decorate a cake.

Choose from three options the one that you like the most. The colors of roses, of course, can be very different: from white to multi-colored.

The first is probably the easiest.

The next two options are a little more complicated, but the roses look like real ones.

Mastic rose  not easy to do. And honestly, that the first time it may not work. But let's not be afraid and try to make it together.

Cooking delicious and at the same time plastic mastic. I suggest making a rose from mastic based on soft marshmallows. Sugar mastic is also very suitable for sculpting. What do we need to do. We microwave soft marshmallows (a pack of forty grams) and put one hundred grams of butter and a spoonful of fresh lemon juice. Mix the mass and add the icing sugar. Knead plastic mastic. Part is painted in the desired color, part in green. Now we let her lie down and prepare the molds. The forms are the simplest, or you can just take the lid. Cut a circle and make incisions to create an imitation of petals. Fingers walk along the edges and make them slightly wavy. In this way:

Now we sculpt a flower. We need to make the middle. We just make a drop of mastic and place

on our blank. We twist the petals, thereby wrapping a little in the middle. To petals tightly pressed to the bud, moisten them with a little water.

Then again we make another workpiece according to the previous scheme. And again we apply to the bud. In general, there are no indications. you can control the splendor of the rose yourself, at your discretion.

From mastic in this way you can make whole bouquets. You can color the mastic with any food coloring. I prefer gel. And I’ll add that the mastic can be painted after the flower is ready. Only edges can be painted.

In order to decorate the cake with beautiful roses from mastic. Of course, the first thing to do is to prepare the mastic of the desired color. Then you need to roll the mastic into a very thin layer, take the form, I squeeze the mugs with a glass. And from these circles petals will be made. We start with the inner petals by twisting them with a spiral. Next, follow the circle:

There are several options for how to make rose from mastic. With these roses, you can decorate any cake for the holiday. All the steps shown in the photo, we can put on a circle of mastic, put on petals, bend the edges, and you get a beautiful rose.

And there is such an option as making a rose from mastic, all the detailed steps of the work are visible in the photo.

To do this, you will need a mastic of two colors - red and green (for petals). Again, here we clarify that roses come in different colors, so the red color of the mastic can be replaced with any other. Himself the process of creating flowers for the cake is looking at the video:

Cakes decorated with mastic look very elegant and festive! Recently, I also decided to try to make something out of this material to decorate baking. I decided to start with making a flower - roses. But when I studied the instructions, I realized that it is not so simple without experience and special tools - molds, spatulas and so on, to make a beautiful flower out of mastic.

It seemed to me that I would stop at the simplest version that every housewife should have (desire 1. From a piece of mastic we make a strip and carefully roll it into a roll). Such roses turn out to be small in size, but they can be rolled up a lot - make a pink field out of a cake.

A more complex way to make roses can be seen. For this, you will have to spend more time and effort, but then the result is obtained - you can’t take your eyes off!

    Picture 1.

In fact, there are many ways that roses can be made from mastic to decorate a cake.

Mastic itself is best made from marshmallows, as it should be flexible and pliable.

Roses can be collected in separate petals, fastened with water, can be folded with a ribbon, as flowers are collected from fabric, and I liked one described method, when a blank for 5 petals is cut from mastic, as a rule, and it is already attached to a blank of mastic on a skewer.

The beginning of work may look like this:

And in the end, when several blanks are assembled and bonded to each other, we get these roses:

Naturally, the edges can be made wavy, the buds themselves are open or not, but you need to let the flowers dry first, and not lay them on a flat surface so that they do not stick - this is necessary.

To do this, you need pastry mastic or you can cook it yourself. Powdered sugar, rolling pin, a board for rolling and rolling mastic. We roll the mastic with a rolling pin, the mastic, by the way, looks like plasticine and it’s easy to make rose petals from it. You can, without rolling out, just tear off a piece from the mastic and sculpt the petals. Then collecting them and making a flower. And you can roll it out, then cut circles out of it with a mold or a glass. You can watch this video on how to make a rose from mastic for a cake.

To make a rose from mastic  first prepare the mastic of the desired colors. Think about how many flowers you need to decorate the cake, think over the composition, and then proceed to sculpt.

I will propose a scheme by which we sculpt a pink rose:

Another option for sculpting buds and flowers of a red rose:

This option is generally simple. Make circles as a shape, lay them on top of each other so that each one overlaps the previous one by 1 cm and walk through them with a stick, as shown in the figure below, and then fold into a flower:

    Option 4:

Option 5: How to do  white roses from mastic  and decorate the cake with them.
