Barley soup recipe

Composition:

  • Purified water - two liters,
  • chicken - to taste (you can also cook soup in mushroom or vegetable broth),
  • barley groats - two tablespoons,
  • potatoes - five pieces,
  • carrots - one piece,
  • onions - one piece,
  • butter - one teaspoon
  • table salt and spices to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Pour purified water into a saucepan, put part of the chicken (for example, wings, backs or necks) into it. When the broth starts to boil, you need to remove the foam with a slotted spoon and cook for about half an hour.
  2. Now rinse the barley thoroughly, add it to the broth and stir. Cook with cereals for about half an hour. Wash, peel and dice the potatoes. Add potatoes and season with broth.
  3. Then you need to cook the frying. Fry finely chopped onions and carrots grated on a fine grater in a skillet (in oil or fat). When the potatoes boil for ten minutes, add frying (for this, take a ladle, pour the broth into it and pour it into the pan, pour it into the pan) and boil for another five minutes.

  1. Let's start preparing the soup by preparing all the ingredients.

How to make barley and vegetable soup

Boil the broth on the meat bone.

To do this, wash the meat with the bone, pour cold water and cook.

When the water boils, remove the foam and cook for 2 hours on low heat, covering with a lid.

Remove the meat from the finished broth. Strain the broth and put it on the fire again.

Pour washed cereals into the boiling broth, bring to a boil and cook at low boil for 10 - 20 minutes.

During this time, we wash and clean vegetables.

Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots.
