Video. How to make popsicles?

Fruit ice is loved by both adults and children, and its popularity does not disappear even in the winter season. In addition to supposedly fighting thirst, a dessert made from natural ingredients can saturate the body with vitamins, improve skin condition, and even have a beneficial effect on blood pressure. Of course, today this dessert is easy to find in any store, but it is not at all difficult to prepare it at home.

Calorie content and composition

The popsicles sold in supermarkets are often not healthy. Manufacturers add flavors, flavor enhancers and, of course, dyes, which only increase the calorie content of the product and reduce its usefulness. Therefore, the most correct decision would be to make the sweet yourself from natural ingredients: fruits and berries, and optionally, vegetables.

Homemade fruit ice will do an excellent job of cooling the body, but in addition will bring significant benefits to it. One hundred grams of the product will account for approximately seventy to one hundred and ten calories.

Even a novice in cooking can make ice cream at home, so this dessert is often sold with children. For cooking, it is allowed to purchase frozen fruits and berries, although fresh, of course, will be healthier, as well as natural juice. In addition, you will need molds of the required shapes and sizes. You can purchase special containers in the store, use the ice-freezer sections, or limit yourself to ordinary disposable cups or yogurt packs.

Having shown imagination, even with such simple tools, it will be possible to make multi-colored multi-tiered ice creams.

"Paradisaic delight"

In the event that there are several ingredients in the refrigerator, you can implement a recipe called "Paradise Delight". For cooking you will need:

  • 500 grams of strawberries;
  • a couple of bananas;
  • five sprigs of mint;
  • 25 grams of powdered sugar;
  • fifty milliliters of orange juice.

If the ingredients are frozen, then they will first have to be thawed, rinsed and dried. The mint is washed and freed from the twigs, and then, together with strawberries and powdered sugar, beat in a blender. The resulting mass is laid out in tins so that half of the available volume remains free.

Peeled bananas are also mashed with orange juice. Once the strawberry layer is frozen in the refrigerator, you can place the banana layer on top of it. After that, the popsicles are put back into the refrigerator. It will be possible to use it when both layers reach the required state, that is, they are completely frozen.

From natural juice

Any natural juice also becomes an optimal base for fruit ice. To do this, the liquid, ideally with pulp, is poured into molds and put into the freezer. It takes twenty-five to forty minutes and the ice cream is ready. In principle, in this case, purchased juice is also suitable, but the taste of ice will then be less saturated, and the color will be almost transparent.

With dairy products

There are recipes in which juice is successfully combined with dairy products. One of them will require:

  • 500 milliliters of orange juice;
  • 130 milliliters of yogurt;
  • 125 grams of powdered sugar;
  • 250 grams of berries, such as gooseberries;
  • juice of some other fruit.

In this case, the varying component will form the basis of the ice cream - a third of the mold will have to be filled with liquid, and everything will be sent to the freezer for about half an hour. At this time, you can do the second layer - beat the yogurt and orange juice, pour them over the first, and stand for another thirty minutes. The third layer will be berry puree with powdered sugar. When it is placed in the general form, you will need to wait another half hour, and then serve the prepared ice on the table.

With syrup

It is used to make fruit ice and sugar syrup. The list of ingredients for this ice cream includes:

  • 500 grams of fresh berries, such as cherries;
  • 100 milliliters of drinking water;
  • 120 grams of granulated sugar.

The sweetener with liquid is put on medium heat, brought to a boil, and cooked until the crystals are completely dissolved. During this time, the cherries are processed in a food processor. Having cooled down a little, the sugar syrup is mixed with the berry mass, and laid out in tins.

With gelatin

Using gelatin and fruit purees will create a sunny, soft puree. To create a treat you will need:

  • a glass of apricot or peach puree;
  • 420 milliliters of drinking water;
  • 250 grams of granulated sugar;
  • seven grams of gelatin;
  • lemon juice.

According to the instructions, the substance dissolves in water and is left alone until it swells. The rest of the water is combined with sugar and placed over low heat. When the liquid boils, you will need to add gelatin to it.

Once the substance is dissolved, you can remove everything from the stove. The slightly cooled syrup is mixed with fruit puree and citrus juice. The resulting mass is ground through a sieve, distributed among the cells and put into the freezer.

With starch

Starch, an unusual ingredient in desserts, is used to make kiwi-flavored fruit ice. Two hundred grams of fruit are complemented by:

  • 120 grams of granulated sugar;
  • 200 milliliters of drinking water;
  • a teaspoon of lemon juice;
  • a teaspoon of potato starch;
  • a pinch of citric acid.

Kiwis are washed and peeled, then cut into suitable pieces and pureed. Sugar, along with 150 milliliters of water on the stove, is transformed into syrup. As soon as it boils, citric acid is added to the pan.

The remainder of the clean liquid is used to dilute the starch, which will then need to be poured into a container with sugar syrup. Everything is cooked together for three minutes, after which it cools. At the last stage, the sugar substance is mixed with the kiwi puree using a whisk or mixer. After spreading the popsicles into cups, it will need to be removed to the freezer.

By the way, homemade popsicles made from Coca-Cola will have an unusual taste. For its preparation, it is enough just to pour the purchased drink into molds, and remove to freeze.

With pear

Pear ice is made from:

  • 550 grams of ripe fruit;
  • 180 grams of sugar;
  • 200 milliliters of clean water;
  • 10 grams of vanillin;
  • 55 milliliters of lemon juice.

The washed pears are freed of all inedible parts and then pureed in a blender. At this time, a mixture of sugar, vanillin and water is brought to a boil in a separate saucepan. Pears are added to the hot sweet syrup and the ingredients are cooled together. If the fruit pieces are too tough, they may not need to be boiled for long. Next, the syrup with soft pears is supplemented with lemon juice and mixed thoroughly. The resulting mass is laid out in tins and put into the freezer.

With watermelon

Delicious ice cream will be made from watermelon and chocolate. In addition to 500 grams of sweet berries, you will need 100 grams of unfilled solid chocolate and half a lime. The watermelon pulp is crushed and mixed with lime juice. The chocolate is rubbed on shavings, and also interferes with the resulting substance. Everything is poured into glasses and frozen.

You can dip the ice cream in melted chocolate before serving.

With pineapple

Pineapple lovers will be delighted to learn that popsicles can be made from both fresh fruit and canned ones. In the first case, you will need 500 grams of fruit, and in the second, 400 grams. In addition, 575 milliliters of water, 80 milliliters of lemon juice, and 380 grams of sugar are useful. Sugar syrup is prepared according to the usual method, after which lemon juice is added to it. Pineapples are ground in a blender and mixed with the rest of the ingredients. Ice is laid out in molds and removed for freezing.

With raspberries and strawberries

Raspberry-strawberry ice cream is considered insanely delicious. To prepare it, you need to take:

  • a kilogram of fresh or even canned strawberries;
  • a kilogram of raspberries;
  • about a glass of sugar;
  • half a liter of water;
  • a couple of tablespoons of starch.

Sugar syrup is cooked according to the usual scheme, then it is mixed with washed berries. The ingredients must be boiled together for about ten minutes over low heat, then processed with a blender. The resulting puree is mixed with starch diluted in cold water. The finished mass is frozen in molds with wooden sticks.

With blackberry

Such an outlandish berry as blackberry goes very well with watermelon, so it is also recommended to choose a combination of these ingredients for making fruit ice. In addition to 300 grams of berries, you need to take:

  • a kilogram of watermelon pulp;
  • a couple of tablespoons of lime juice;
  • salt;
  • icing sugar.

Three blackberries are placed in each mold, and the rest are processed into mashed potatoes. The same processing is necessary for the watermelon, after which all the remaining ingredients are combined into a single mass. Upon completion, the ice, as usual, is laid out in tins.

With melon and blueberries

The combination of layers of melon and blueberry is considered a bit complicated, but very tasty. The blueberry layer is prepared from:

  • glasses of berries;
  • 200 grams of juice;
  • two tablespoons of plain yogurt;
  • 50 grams of granulated sugar;
  • pinches of salt.

The second layer will require:

  • 300 grams of melon pulp;
  • 20 milliliters of lemon juice;
  • a few tablespoons of powdered sugar.

First of all, blueberries with juice and sugar are put on the fire, brought to a boil, and cooked for about a couple of minutes. After cooling, whip it together with salt and yogurt, and use it to form the bottom layer. The melon is mashed with lemon juice and powder, and immediately laid on top of the blueberries. Such a delicacy should be frozen for about twelve hours.

Colorless ice

Finally, you can make colorless ice with fruit fragments. A glass of boiling water is combined with four tablespoons of granulated sugar, brought to a boil, and kept on fire for about five minutes. At this time, the fruits are washed and, if necessary, cut into small pieces, which are laid out in tins. The fruits are poured with hot syrup, cooled, and put into the freezer for two or three hours.

Design options

Plain popsicles can be turned into a real work of art by passing it through a shaker. After being processed, it will be crushed into thin shavings and thus will acquire its original structure. This dessert is served with poured syrups with suitable flavors, as well as sprinkled with crushed nuts or mint. In addition, you can accompany ice with condensed milk, halva, jam or jams.

You can freeze fruit ice not only in large tins, but also in miniature sections, usually lying in the refrigerator. The result should be cubes, which are then recommended to be added to cocktails or regular drinking water. By the way, if the ice cream was frozen without a wooden stick, then it should be served in a beautiful glass glass, with a dessert spoon, and slightly thawed. In addition, you can freeze fruits immediately in elegant glass containers, and then serve them along with cutlery.

It is necessary to insert a stick into the ice cream when the ice freezes a little, after which the delicacy is returned back to the freezer. By the way, you can speed up the freezing process by pouring the ingredients into small containers and setting a very low temperature in the refrigerator. In this case, the cold working process will take twenty to thirty minutes.

It is also necessary to pour the ice in such a way that about half a centimeter remains free from the upper edge of the glass. This space is necessary so that the substance that has increased in volume does not “overflow the banks”. It is worth mentioning that for the holiday you can freeze ice in well-sterilized children's play tins.

You should not store the dessert in the freezer for a long time - this will increase its hardness, and in the future, the process of use will become more complicated.

It is easy to remove ice cream from the mold if you put it in warm water for a couple of seconds before doing it. In the case when unprocessed fruits and berries are used for cooking, it is necessary to squeeze juice from them or transform them into mashed potatoes immediately before creating ice cream. You can add a zest to ice pops by putting whole fruits or their slices inside, and also forming several layers.

In addition, iced tea or coffee can become one of the layers. Some cooks use granola or oatmeal as the top layer.

Naturally, we will not cook the dessert from store juice, which is often not juice, but from homemade juice. Rinse the oranges thoroughly under hot water, cut and squeeze the juice. Dip the peaches in boiling water for a few seconds, immediately transfer them to a container with cold water, remove the skin, separate the pulp from the stone and puree with a blender. Dissolve sugar in water. You can warm it up a little for this, or just wait a little. Mix orange juice, syrup and peach pulp. We pour into molds. You can use cups from store-bought ice cream, yogurt, curds, or just silicone molds. We put it in the freezer. The setting time depends on the size of the molds and the power of the freezer.

A shock dose of vitamin C (and it is needed by the body in summer) can be obtained by preparing fruit ice from kiwi, at home it turns out to be gentle and very useful.

Kiwi Fruit Ice

Ingredients:

  • kiwi - 0.7 kg;
  • unsweetened yogurt without preservatives - 0.3 l;
  • - 2 tbsp. spoons.

Preparation

We are preparing a treat in ordinary plastic cups with a capacity of 70 g. In addition to them, you will need sticks. Carefully peel the kiwi and cut into slices. Put the largest circles - from the middle of the fruit - aside, turn the rest into mashed potatoes with a blender. Add yogurt and honey to this mass. If you don't have yogurt on hand, you can use whipped cream. But sour cream will not work - not experiment! Stir everything until smooth, put in cups, cover with kiwi slices, into which we stick the sticks. Thus, both the stick will freeze in correctly, and in the process of eating, drops of the melting dessert will not stain clothes. We put the cups in the freezer and wait a couple of hours. A tasty and healthy treat is ready.

You can also make strawberry popsicles at home in the same way. The proportions are the same, and the process is no different, only there will be nothing to cover the cups. Therefore, in order to insert sticks into ice cream, you will have to wait about half an hour for it to freeze a little.
