I don't know about you, but in my kitchen sometimes there is a real crisis of the genre. It seems that everything has been tried for a long time and managed to get boring. The primitive question of how to cook chicken thighs can baffle me. Therefore, I decided to collect my favorite recipes and methods in this article, what if they give someone a little inspiration. The selection includes 3 recipes with photos for various kitchen utensils and a few more marinade options. This will allow you to diversify your menu without spending extra money. All ingredients can be found in nearby stores, and they do not cost very much.

How to cook chicken thighs in the oven?

Most often, I cook chicken thighs in the oven. This recipe is extremely simple, takes a minimum of time and does not require anything other than the thighs themselves and the spices. First of all, they need to be washed and dried very thoroughly with paper towels. This is the main secret of the crispy crust. All loose skin and excess fat are best cut off so that there is no smoke during baking.

We heat the oven to 220 degrees in convection mode. Cover a large baking sheet with foil (so it will be easier to wash it later) and place the wire rack on top. Lubricate it with vegetable oil using a brush or spray (if available). Rub the chicken thighs on both sides with salt, pepper, dried garlic and put on a wire rack, skin side up.

Bake in a preheated oven until tender, about 30 minutes. The skin should be golden and crispy, and the juices in the thickest part of the thigh should be light. Remove the baked chicken thighs from the oven, cover with foil and let sit for about 5 minutes. This will help all juices distribute properly. Unfortunately, not everyone can eat fried and baked food. Therefore, the question of how much to cook chicken thighs also has the right to life. It all very much depends on the size. Focus on 20-30 minutes. After this time, just pierce your thigh with a knife and look at the juice. Remember to add enough salt to the water. It is better not to remove the finished chicken thighs from the water immediately, but to let it sit in the broth for 5-10 minutes. This will make them juicier. It is better to remove the skin before serving, in my opinion, in this form it is not very tasty.

How to fry chicken thighs in a pan?

Some of my friends are absolutely not on friendly terms with the oven. In this case, I have a wonderful recipe for chicken thighs in a pan. In addition to the previous recipe, we will need another lemon and various herbs to your taste (I take paprika, basil and oregano). We start cooking in the same way: wash the chicken thighs and dry them thoroughly. A good non-stick frying pan (you can cast iron) is set to warm up over medium-high heat.

In a small bowl, mix a teaspoon each of sweet paprika, basil and oregano, add half a teaspoon each of salt and dried garlic and a quarter teaspoon of black pepper. Stir all this and rub the chicken thighs. Pour two tablespoons of vegetable oil into a preheated pan (you can take it in half with butter) and wait until it hisses. Fry the chicken thighs until a beautiful crust (a couple of minutes on each side). After that, we put them skin down, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes.

Turn over and bring to readiness (another 10-15 minutes). At the end, you can fry the crust again over high heat (literally a minute). Add slices of lemon, finely chopped parsley to the finished chicken thighs, cover it all with a lid and let it brew for about 5 minutes. Very tasty, and what a flavor it is! Enjoy.

How to cook chicken thighs delicious and unusual?

We have sorted out the basic cooking methods, but sometimes you want something tasty and unusual. Especially for this occasion, I have a recipe for chicken legs in a sauce of mushrooms, cream and bacon. An amazingly aromatic dish!

First of all, heat the oven to 180 degrees. Wash the chicken thighs, dry them and rub them with salt, pepper and Italian herbs (this is a seasoning made from a mixture of various herbs). Heat a frying pan with a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat and fry the chicken thighs, skin down, until a beautiful crust. Cover a suitable dish with foil and shift the thighs there, skin side up. We send to the preheated oven until cooked (approximately 20 minutes).

In the meantime, take five slices of bacon, cut into small pieces and fry in a skillet. Transfer to a separate bowl. Marinade for chicken thighs

To make the chicken thighs even juicier, you can marinate them before cooking. It is best to keep them in the marinade overnight by covering the bowl with a lid and putting them in the refrigerator. There are many marinade options. I offer you my favorites:

  1. The simplest is salt + pepper. The main thing is to grate generously, sparing no seasoning.
  2. A very interesting option: 2 tablespoons of olive oil + 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar + 1 teaspoon of fine brown sugar + 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard + 4 cloves of minced garlic.
  3. Lemon marinade: juice and zest from one lemon + olive oil (to taste, about the same as juice) + 4-5 cloves of chopped garlic + salt + pepper.

We don't even need a list of ingredients. All you need is the thighs themselves, starch and salt and pepper

Preparation:

1. Wash the hips, cut off all unnecessary and ugly and dry them thoroughly with a paper towel.

Drying is an important stage so that later the starch does not soak and does not turn into lumps.

2. Put the meat on a plate, salt and pepper on both sides.


3. Then sprinkle it with starch, making sure that it covers the thighs with a thin layer over the entire surface.

This is also an important point. The better the breaded pieces are, the more reliably they keep the juice inside, which gives an additional plus in the absence of splashing when frying.
