Now the site combines the name "Menu of the week" and similar content. The visual content is different everywhere.

The bedstraw herb has rich reserves of chemical elements, including:

Botanical description of the present bedstraw

The plant belongs to the Madder family, genus Bedstraw, is perennial, reaches 60-120 cm in length. The rhizome is branched, the stem is straight, pubescent, it can take root when it touches the soil. The stem of the bedstraw is weak, therefore it rises above the ground only due to support on other plants. Otherwise, the grass will creep.

The leaves of the bedstraw are velvety, grayish below, dark green above, shining. The shape is narrow-linear, the tip is sharp, the length is up to 3 cm, the width is up to 2 mm. Leaves are combined in whorls of 8-12 pieces.

The flowers are bright yellow, small, united in a panicle inflorescence. They have a pleasant honey smell. Flowers bloom in early summer. The plant can be found and collected for medicinal purposes everywhere - it is widespread throughout Eurasia, it is found in almost all regions of Russia. His favorite places are:

Medicinal uses of bedstraw herb

The plant is slightly poisonous, so its internal intake should be carried out with caution. Outwardly, bedstraw treatment is completely safe and can be used even in children - in the absence of allergic reactions. The therapy is carried out as follows:

  1. Sprinkle wounds, especially poorly healing ones, with flowers.
  2. Purulent ulcers are rubbed with plant sap.
  3. For healing, abrasions are lubricated with infusions and decoctions of bedstraw.

The grass of the present bedstraw has astringent and hemostatic properties - this is what helps it to heal wounds without leaving a trace. It also heals with all sorts of rashes, with abscesses, carbuncles, burns.

It is effective to use the herb for gout, rheumatism, arthritis, because it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic properties. The plant eliminates fever, relieves headaches. Pulmonary diseases can also be cured by bedstraw, as well as sore throat, pharyngitis. From infections, the plant is used for tuberculosis and hepatitis (jaundice), brucellosis and malaria.
