Each hostess can change the recipe of the famous salad at her discretion to please the taste preferences of loved ones or guests. Traditionally, this dish consists of the following components:

  • Carrots - 1 or 2 pieces
  • Beets - 1-2 pieces (taking into account the size of the fruit)
  • Hard cheese - 100-150 grams
  • Seedless Raisins - Handful
  • Peeled walnuts - 2-3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1-3 cloves (to taste)
  • Mayonnaise - 3-4 tablespoons

Try using processed cheese instead of hard cheese in the appropriate layer. And you can sprinkle the top of the finished salad with chopped hard cheese.

You can also add some prunes and dried apricots to the recipe (by mixing them with beets). For lovers of sourness, you can include a sweet and sour apple, which is peeled, rubbed on a coarse grater and sprinkled with lemon juice a little. Preparation of components

  1. The beets are boiled until tender, peeled and rubbed on a coarse grater, the excess juice is decanted.
  2. Fresh peeled carrots are chopped in the same way (or on a fine grater) into a separate bowl, squeezed out if necessary. For those who do not like fresh carrots, you should try to fry the grated vegetable in vegetable oil.
  3. Hard cheese or processed cheese is rubbed coarsely, without mixing with vegetables.
  4. Raisins are steamed with hot water for a minute.

The Mistress salad is laid out in a bowl or salad bowl in layers:

  • 1 layer: half of beets (with prunes / dried apricots), smeared with mayonnaise; chopped nuts can be added to this layer

Others, however, can improve the recipe to their liking - instead of generously seasoning the layers with mayonnaise, you can draw a "mesh" over the vegetables. So the salad will turn out to be less greasy, which is important for everyone who is worried about their health, and more "light".

I don’t know about you, but I love recipes with original or unusual names, because the routine of listing the main ingredients as the title of a culinary article always makes me bored. That is why, when visiting my mother-in-law, I heard that today we will eat a new mistress salad, I was immediately involuntarily pulled for a notebook. And she turned out to be right in the end - in my house this delicate and delicious salad melting in my mouth just disappeared from the table in just a few minutes. I drew conclusions and now I cook it on the largest dish.

Today I will present you a classic recipe for the "Mistress" salad with beets and carrots, flavored with dried apricots with raisins, prunes and garlic - only this dish intersects and feels great together, which is usually not combined.

Kitchen appliances: Select in advance all the necessary utensils, tools and devices for obtaining the perfect Mistress salad: a wide, beautiful and slightly flat dish (salad bowl is unlikely to fit) with a diagonal of 23 cm, several bowls (deep) with a volume of 450 to 850 ml, a pan with a non-stick coated with a volume of 700 ml or more, tablespoons, teaspoons, a measuring cup or kitchen scale, linen and cotton towels, a cutting board, a coarse and medium grater, a sharp knife and a wooden spatula. Among other things, I strongly advise you to equip yourself with a blender or mixer to make the perfect filling for your salad.

  5. At the very end, we spread beets with chopped prunes, flatten, slightly press.

It is not at all necessary to make the salad in this order, because each of us has our own taste and opinion of what goes best with what, so in this area you have complete freedom of choice. Of course, such a dish is certainly prepared as an independent one, but no one will forbid you to pick up a suitable piece of meat for it or fry some potatoes. Serve the salad immediately after picking and store it for no more than a week, as it quickly turns into obscure herb under the mayonnaise.

Hello! Today I am making a delicious Mistress salad! The salad is perfect for Valentine's Day on February 14. It can also be served on any festive table.

From the products I took:

  • 300 grams of boiled beets;
  • 300 grams of raw carrots;
  • 200 gr of cheese;
  • 50 grams of walnuts;
  • 30 grams of prunes;
  • 50 grams of raisins;
  • 3 cloves of medium-sized garlic;
  • mayonnaise.

Cooking process:

I rub the beets, carrots and cheese on a medium grater.

She chopped walnuts with a knife. I add them to the beets in a deep bowl.

You can also add a small amount of prunes to beets.

And I add chopped garlic to the plate with grated cheese (I have marble cheese, you can take any, for example, creamy or Russian with a mild taste). You can chop it with a knife, squeeze it out with a garlic press, or rub it on a grater.

Then I salt each layer in a separate bowl. You don't need to salt the cheese.

I add mayonnaise to each bowl to taste.

And it turns out like three salads, which can be easily eaten separately. But I will make layers out of them. And I mix everything well. Each layer takes 1.5-2 tbsp. mayonnaise.

I still add finely chopped prunes to the beets. Before adding it, I rinsed it, dried it and cut it. Be sure to try each layer with salt after mixing.

Now I start serving the salad. I have a heart-shaped plastic bread bin as a shape. In order not to get it dirty, I tightened the bottom and side inner sides of the bowl with cling film. You can use special split forms. If these are not at hand, you can immediately spread the layers on a flat dish as follows: first carrots, then cheese and beets.

And I arrange the layers differently, the first will be the beets, since I have a form with a closed bottom and I will turn it over onto the dish.

So, I spread the first layer and level it.

I leave a spoonful of salad for serving in a small bowl. I crush the salad and create a heart shape, while the edges should be even so that the layers look good. Then I spread the cheese and spread it over the entire surface.

I also leave one tablespoon for the bowl. I put the last layer of carrots in a cup and level them.

I put one spoon in a bowl and made a depression in the middle, since its shape is a cone.

When all the layers are laid, you can tighten the mold with plastic and put it in the refrigerator if you will be serving the salad the next day. The salad must be infused for 4 hours before serving. But today I will not wait, but I will immediately start decorating it.

I leave the salad form and move on to serving the bowl. The first layer is the carrot, then I spread the cheese and smooth it with a thin layer over the entire surface of the carrot.

The last layer is beets.

The finished salad can be decorated with either a beetroot rose, or nuts with cheese. In general, decorate as it is more convenient for you.

The bowl with salad is ready, now I return to the main form. I cover it with a large flat platter and turn it over quickly. Thus, after I removed the form and film, I got a salad heart. I grease it on top with mayonnaise using a silicone spatula. The finished salad can be decorated with a net of mayonnaise, or you can cut roses from a tomato and put on the top layer. The decoration method depends on your preference.

I will decorate salads with mayonnaise. Having put it in a pastry bag, I start decorating with a bowl. I make imitation of snow on top of the salad.

You can put nuts on top of the mayonnaise. I took a daikon as a decoration and cut thin strips with a vegetable peeler. From these strips I make roses and decorate the salad. I use parsley for the green leaves. Since the daikon is white, it can be painted with beets and it will be pink.

It turns out very nicely. In the same way, I decorate the main course heart. Pour the top layer of the salad with mayonnaise. But not in a continuous stream, but in thin curls. I twist 12 roses from daikon and place them around the edges of the heart. Next, I paint the white roses with food red dye. I add a couple of parsley leaves for color saturation and the salad is ready!

The Mistress salad with beets and carrots includes almost the same ingredients as the classic version, with the exception of prunes.

Required products:

  • two beets;
  • three cloves of garlic;
  • 100 grams of raisins;
  • 50 grams of nuts;
  • mayonnaise to your taste;
  • two carrots;
  • 150 grams of cheese.

Cooking process:

  1. The raisin recipe is considered the simplest. We prepare a container in which we will spread the salad. And in the first layer we place grated carrots mixed with raisins and mayonnaise in it.
  2. The second layer will be grated cheese, also seasoned with mayonnaise, and garlic, squeezed or finely chopped.
  3. The final layer is boiled beets, chopped on a grater and mixed with chopped nuts and mayonnaise.
  4. Before serving, you can decorate the dish with fresh herbs and be sure to cool a little.

With pomegranate and green onions

Required products:

  • 200 grams of cheese;
  • fresh green onions;
  • two carrots;
  • one boiled beet;
  • 100 grams of nuts;
  • 0.2 kg of pomegranate seeds;
  • mayonnaise to taste;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • about 80 grams of raisins.

Cooking process:

  1. Immediately grab a transparent salad bowl - it will be laid out in layers.
  2. In the first layer, send the grated carrots mixed with chopped nuts and mayonnaise into the dish.
  3. The second layer will go to cheese with crushed garlic and mayonnaise.
  4. Then combine the grated carrots with raisins and season with mayonnaise too. This will be the third layer.
  5. It remains only to cover the surface of the dish with a layer of pomegranate seeds, and decorate the perimeter with onion feathers.

With the addition of mushrooms

Required products:

  • 50 grams of raisins, nuts;
  • one carrot and beet;
  • mayonnaise to your taste;
  • 100 grams of cheese and the same amount of mushrooms;
  • two cloves of garlic.

Cooking process:

  1. First, boil the vegetables until completely soft, then grate. Next, you will need to mix the ingredients for each layer separately and do not forget to add mayonnaise to them.
  2. We send carrots and raisins to the salad bowl as the first layer.
  3. Chopped cheese and crushed garlic will go second. On top of them are mushrooms. If they are pickled, then just cut them and put them in a dish. Using fresh mushrooms, fry them in a pan beforehand.
  4. And the third layer is formed by beets with nuts.
  5. We remove the dish for a while in the refrigerator, after which we serve it chilled to the table.

French mistress salad

Required products:

  • 50 grams of cheese;
  • one carrot and onion;
  • 300 grams of chicken fillet;
  • a glass of raisins and nuts;
  • one small orange;
  • mayonnaise to your taste.

Cooking process:

  1. Boil the chicken fillet until tender, cut the onion into rings, chop the carrot and cheese with a grater.
  2. Chop the nuts with a knife (into small crumbs, but not into dust)... Peel the orange and also cut into small pieces.
  3. We prepare the dish and proceed to assembly. Put the chicken with mayonnaise in the first layer, then onion with the same sauce.
  4. Next will go raisins and carrots (all also with dressing).
  5. We cover the dish with a layer of cheese, coat it with an elegant mayonnaise mesh, on top of which we spread nuts, oranges and quite a bit of raisins for decoration.

With prunes and pineapples

Required products:

  • can of pineapples;
  • one boiled beet;
  • two carrots;
  • mayonnaise to taste;
  • three cloves of garlic;
  • 100 grams of prunes;
  • 0.2 kg of cheese.

Cooking process:

  1. Immediately take the salad bowl and begin to lay out the appetizer. We rub the beets, combine with chopped prunes and mayonnaise, place on the bottom of the container.
  2. Grind the cheese and garlic, season with mayonnaise and put in the second layer.
  3. Grated carrots and mayonnaise are spread over the cheese mixture.
  4. The salad is decorated with pineapple slices and nuts.

Cooking with kiwi and chicken

Required products:

  • about 70 grams of raisins;
  • three kiwis;
  • one boiled beet;
  • 0.2 kg of cheese;
  • mayonnaise to your taste;
  • one boiled chicken fillet;
  • a third of a glass of nuts.

Cooking process:

  1. In a salad bowl, place the first layer of boiled, cooled and cut chicken into thin bars. Spread it with mayonnaise.
  2. Next comes raisins and peeled, chopped kiwi. Cover it with a layer of mayonnaise too.
  3. Now it's the turn of the grated beets and the nuts chopped in a blender. You can also cut them with a knife.
  4. Finish the dish by sprinkling generously with finely grated cheese.

Meat salad "Mistress"

Required products:

  • 300 grams of beef;
  • two pickled cucumbers;
  • mayonnaise to taste;
  • two eggs;
  • 100 grams of walnuts.

Cooking process:

  1. Boil the meat until tender in slightly salted water and cut into small pieces after it has cooled.
  2. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes until they are "hard boiled" and rub.
  3. We begin to collect the salad and first place a part of the meat on the bottom of the salad bowl, steaming it with mayonnaise.
  4. Then comes a layer of cucumbers, which need to be grated or very finely chopped. We coat them too.
  5. We spread the crushed eggs, form a mayonnaise mesh and again lay a layer of meat.
  6. Decorate the dish with nuts and refrigerate before serving.
