    leaves and sprigs of mint - 100 grams;

    granulated sugar - 5 tablespoons;

    purified still drinking water - 1000 ml.

Cooking method:

Mint leaves and sprigs are washed under cold water and dried on a towel. Then the plant is torn by hand into small segments. If you cut the grass with a knife, then there will be no strong aroma, since aromatic substances oxidize from contact with metal. A few leaves should be left for decoration.

The lemon is cut in two. Each half is squeezed out, you can use a juicer. About 5 tablespoons of lemon juice should form. Lemon peel is not thrown away, it will still serve as a drink.

Chopped mint is poured into enameled dishes (metal or aluminum will oxidize from lemon juice, and the taste of the drink will be spoiled), and all the leaves are completely filled with water. Lemon peel is added to the mass, and gradually heated over low heat, waiting for the mixture to boil. After that, the mass is cooked for another two to three minutes, and, finally, it is removed from the heat. Sugar is poured into the still not cooled mixture and mixed thoroughly.

Now the resulting infusion is filtered through a sieve, cleaning it from particles of zest and mint "flakes" and getting a beautiful lemonade color as a result. Pour lemon juice into the cooled and strained lemonade, and remove the drink to cool in the refrigerator.

Pour chilled "mojito" into tall glasses, decorate with a lemon wedge and mint leaves. If you add ice, then two tubes are placed in the glass.

Useful tips for making lemonade at home:

    if you have diabetes, you can replace sugar in recipes with fructose;

    more juice from lemon can be obtained by rolling it on a board (uncut);

    the remaining zest during the preparation of the drink does not need to be thrown away: dry it and put it in the cabinet where the cereals are stored - this way you will protect them from pests;

    stevia herb can be used instead of sugar. It tastes as sweet as sugar;

    Choose lemons with medium-sized peels - they should have an even combination of peel and flesh on the cut. If there is more pulp, and the crust is thin, then this is a stale lemon, and it will be too sour;

    you can restore dried lemon by soaking it for a while in salty cold water;

    with the remaining zest, you can clean your shoes, and if you have a headache, attach a slice of lemon zest to your temples;

    leftover lemon peels can be used to make delicious candied fruits. To do this, the white inner layer is completely cut off from the zest, leaving only a yellow rind. The prepared crusts are soaked for two days in cold water; the water needs to be changed 1-2 times;

This is to eliminate bitterness. Then the crusts are boiled with added sugar for 20-30 minutes. Put on a sieve and dry in the oven for 15 minutes. After that, the candied fruits are doused in powdered sugar and stored in a cool dry place. These candied fruits can be used to decorate cakes, especially if you cut them in the form of "spirals".

Whichever recipe for making lemonade you would not choose, it is important to remember that it will be much healthier and tastier than purchased "chemical" soda!

The most important thing is not to be lazy, but to develop a healthy habit of making healthy drinks. You can involve children in the process of making lemonades, and then the culinary masterpieces "a la home fresh bar" will take the form of an exciting family leisure.

News of show business.

1. Without using a siphon

w-dog.net

You will need:

  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda;
  • 2 teaspoons of citric acid;
  • 1 glass of water;
  • sugar to taste;
  • syrup.

Mix the citric acid and cover with the mixture of water, sugar and syrup, add ice and drink as quickly as possible. Citric acid will react with baking soda, bubbles will appear. If the taste seems too strong, reduce the amount of baking soda and citric acid.

Of course, such lemonade will not be carbonated for long, but you can try it as a fun experiment. Plus, it's fast and inexpensive.

2.Using a homemade siphon

You will need:

  • 2 plastic bottles;
  • awl;
  • 2 plugs;
  • a small hose or flexible tube;
  • the spoon;
  • funnel
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • any liquid.

Make holes in the two caps, seal the hose in them. Calculate so that one end of the hose almost touches the bottom of the bottle. Pour the liquid you want to carbonate into one of the bottles and close tightly. The hose should sink into your future lemonade as deep as possible.

Pour soda into the second bottle through the funnel, fill it with vinegar and quickly close the second lid. If you hear hiss and see the mixture bubbling, you've done everything right. If the vinegar and baking soda doesn't react strongly enough, shake the bottle. This will intensify the reaction.

The gas will flow through the hose, saturating the lemonade with carbon dioxide. If the connection is leaky, you will get a slightly carbonated drink.

You can carbonate any water-based drink, but it's best not to experiment with coffee and tea. On average, a liter bottle of water can be carbonated in 15–20 minutes. Of course, the process of creating a siphon will take time, but it will not be wasted.

3.Using a commercially available siphon

The siphon can be ordered online or searched in stores. Now there is a large selection of plastic and metal siphons for carbonation, even with pictures. So finding one that fits in will be easy.

The principle of operation of a purchased siphon is the same as that of a home-made one, only cans with compressed gas must be purchased separately. And if you find a vintage siphon, it not only helps sparkling water, but also serves as a stylish piece of furniture.

The older generation remembers the time when every family made lemonade with their own hands. It was sold in stores, but yours is different! Family recipes were passed down from grandfather to grandson. The drink differed in composition, proportions, taste, but there was one thing in common.

The drink instantly quenched thirst, did not contain a single gram of chemistry. But there are a lot of vitamins! On the blog pages, we discussed different drinks. Mostly alcoholic. I don't feel like drinking in hot weather or even with ice :) And lemonade is just that. We offer several simple recipes for a delicious and healthy drink.

Homemade orange lemonade - DIY "Fanta"

Everyone is familiar with the taste of Fanta, but somehow I don’t want to buy it in the store - organisms do not need extra preservatives. But there is a sure way ... make an unforgettable taste yourself. Do you think it's difficult, it won't work? You are wrong. The recipe is surprisingly simple.

What you need:

  • Two large oranges;
  • Three tangerines;
  • Lemon;
  • 600-700 milliliters of ordinary water;
  • 500 milliliters of mineral water with gas;
  • Sugar to taste.

Naturally, wash the fruit thoroughly. The recipe uses zest, and we don't need bacteria and dirt. Now we perform simple actions:

  • Using a fine grater, remove the zest from the lemon. Be careful. Only the yellow part of the peel is needed. White residues are bitter, so we remove them and throw them away;
  • Squeeze the juice out of the lemon pulp. In any convenient way;
  • Now it's the turn of the oranges - first remove the zest, then crush the juice;
  • Put the zest in a saucepan with a capacity of 2-3 liters, add sugar and juice. Putting on fire, pour boiling water. Do not boil for longer than 1-2 minutes;
  • Leave the syrup to cool and infuse for 3-4 hours;
  • We filter the cooled syrup. We prepare a mixture with mineral water in a ratio of 1 to 1. You can make lemonade right away, but the syrup will easily wait in the wings separately from the soda.
