  • potatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • bulb onion - 1 pc .;
  • fresh dill and onions - in a medium bunch;
  • salt and ground black pepper - to your liking;
  • lemon juice (for fish) - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • chicken egg (for greasing) - 1 pc.

Preparation

  1. Add yeast, salt and sugar to lukewarm water, add 1.5 tablespoons of flour. Stir well so that there are no lumps left. Let the resulting mass stand for 15 minutes, so that the yeast starts to play and the dough rises.
  2. During this time, start preparing the filling. Peel potatoes, wash and cut into circles (no more than 0.5 mm thick).
  3. Wash, dry lightly and finely chop fresh herbs.
  4. Put the chopped potatoes, green onions and dill into one bowl, pepper and salt to your liking, stir.
  5. Wash the fish, dry it, cut it into small pieces, put it in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper, you can season with other fish spices, pour with lemon juice, mix and let stand for 10 minutes.
  6. Peel the onion, wash and cut into thin half rings.
  7. Gradually add vegetable oil and sifted flour into the matched dough, knead an elastic, not too tight dough.
  8. Sprinkle flour on the work surface and roll out the dough into two layers 1-1.5 cm thick. Make the size of the first layer according to your baking dish (grease it with vegetable oil beforehand) so that the dough goes onto the sides. The second layer should be slightly smaller, without a margin for the sides.
  9. Spread the prepared potato and greens filling on the first layer of dough laid in the mold. Spread the pieces of fish on top, then the onion.
  10. Now spread the small pieces of butter evenly over the entire surface. Better yet, if you rub it on a coarse grater, only for this, the oil must first be placed in the freezer (it will be better planed this way).
  11. Cover with a second layer of dough and wrap the edges over the sides.
  12. Let the cake pan stand for 10-15 minutes. During this time, you can mold some figures, leaves or curls from the dough, and decorate on top, so the dish will turn out to be especially elegant. Beat the egg in a bowl with a fork and brush over the surface of the cake.
  13. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees and bake a yeast pie with saury and potatoes for at least 1 hour (focus on your oven, someone may need more time).

Cooking tips

  • The pie will turn out even tastier if, 10 minutes before cooking, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  • For baking such pies, you can use other canned fish, the main thing is that the fish is oily and pitted. The dough is then soaked in fish juice and the baked goods are juicy.
  • You can give fish pies any shape, decorate them with dough figurines, but remember, they must be closed. The filling will not dry out and will add juiciness, tenderness and softness to the finished baked goods.

It was decided: today there will be a very simple and quick dish to prepare - a jellied pie with saury and potatoes. The pie turns out to be satisfying, while it is tasty both hot and cold. And the ingredients for this pie, I think, can be found in any kitchen.

Canned saury pies turn out wonderful, if you have never tried them, then by all means do it. Having prepared this hearty pie, you will delight your family and save your family budget, because only cheap products are included.


To make a pie with saury and potatoes you will need:

Sour cream - 150 gr;

Mayonnaise - 200 gr;

Flour - 6 tbsp;

Canned saury - 1 p .;

Onions - 2 pcs;

Potatoes - 5 pcs;

Recipe for making a pie with saury and potatoes:

1. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and eggs. Add flour. Do not salt! The dough should turn out to be liquid, a little thicker than for pancakes.

2. Fry the onions. You can take more onions than indicated in the recipe, in general, to your taste.

3. Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Pour a thin layer of dough on the bottom of the mold.

8. Bake at 200 degrees for 45 minutes. During the baking process, the cake should rise and brown.
