Potatoes in the oven it is very simple to prepare with garlic and dill, and all the neighbors come running to smell. Baked potatoes can be a great side dish, or maybe an independent dish (for vegetarians or "in times of economic crisis").

And the browned potatoes have such an appetizing appearance that you can serve them on a festive table as a side dish for a hot dish, and believe me, your guests will appreciate it! And, of course, baked potatoes will add some variety to your daily menu.

Necessary:

  • Potatoes - 6-7 pieces of medium size or large
  • Butter - 100 grams
  • Cheese (any hard cheese to your taste) - 150-200 grams
  • Sour cream - 1 heaped tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 large cloves
  • Table salt - 0.5 tablespoon when cooking potatoes and a little more (a quarter of a teaspoon or shake it several times with a salt shaker-"fungus") into the mass for spreading
  • Ground black pepper - to taste and at will (we pepper a little)
  • Dill - about 40-50 grams (you can, if desired, replace with parsley in the same amount or mix with it, reducing the amount of both)

Preparation:

The first thing to do is take the butter out of the refrigerator and leave it to melt at room temperature, because we will need it in a soft state.

Potatoes (preferably not old, the peel should not be flabby) must be washed very carefully using a brush, since we will not peel it, but we will cook it “in uniform”, bake it in the oven and eat it with the peel.

Cook potatoes "in their uniforms" in salted water until cooked (comment for "dummies": pour the potatoes in a saucepan with cold water so that the water completely covers the potatoes, put them on the stove, bring to a boil, add salt, cook for 25-30 minutes from the moment boiling, drain the water, you can use a colander).

While the potatoes are boiling, grate the cheese on a coarse grater, mix it with softened butter.

The dill needs to be washed, allowed to dry, finely chopped and added to a bowl with cheese and butter. Squeeze the peeled cloves of garlic through a special crusher and add sour cream there. Salt a little and, if desired, pepper. Mix everything until a homogeneous mass ( watch our video recipe under this article). With this mass, we will spread the potatoes before baking.

Cut the boiled potatoes into halves (if the potatoes are not round, but elongated, cut along the long side, along, and not across) and put in a greased baking dish (you can on a baking sheet) with a cut up.

On each half of the potato we spread the cheese-oil mass, which we mixed with garlic and dill, and spread it with a thick layer.

Preheat the oven to 240-250 degrees (this is almost the maximum heating level if you do not have a thermometer in the oven). We put the form (or baking sheet) with potatoes in the oven at a medium level or slightly higher. We bake for about 10-15 minutes.
