How to Make a Yummy Fast Green Onion Egg Jellied Pie

The first step is to prepare the filling. To do this, boil hard-boiled eggs, lower them under cold water, let them cool and clean. Then chop the prepared eggs into cubes. Wash green onions, shake them well from the water and chop finely.

Mix the onion and eggs in one bowl, add some salt to the mixture to taste and the filling for the jellied pie is ready.

Now we turn on the oven 180 degrees, leave it to warm up and start making the dough. Pour kefir into a suitable bowl, add melted butter (or margarine for baking) to it.

With a whisk, bring the mass to homogeneity, and then introduce the eggs into it.

Knead the mixture again with a whisk, then add sugar and salt to the dough.

Then we sift flour into a bowl of dough, mix it with baking powder. Depending on the fat content and thickness of kefir, you may need a handful or two more flour. If there is no baking powder, you can replace it with slaked vinegar soda.

And again bring the dough to homogeneity with a whisk. The dough is kneaded easily, the consistency is just like a pancake.

We leave the dough for 10 minutes to rest, after which we proceed to the formation of the cake. Thoroughly coat the baking dish with oil or line the bottom and sides with parchment. Pour about 2/3 of the dough into a mold. Shake the mold so that the dough evenly lies on the bottom of the mold, then put the filling on the dough layer. We also distribute it evenly over the entire surface of the dough.

Cover the filling with the remaining dough. The top layer of the dough will be very, very thin, it will literally have to be smeared over the filling. This is how it should be. Part of the filling will inevitably "sink" in the bottom layer of the dough, and you will end up with a cake with the maximum equal ratio of dough and filling. Shake the cake pan one more time so that it fits comfortably into the mold, and send it for baking.

  • flour - 3 cups (glass volume 200 ml).

For filling:

  • egg - 5 pcs.,
  • green onions - 1 bunch (100-120 g),
  • salt - 1 tsp (or to taste).

How to cook yeast pies with onions and eggs in the oven

First, put the dough. Grind yeast into a bowl, add sugar to it, fill everything with warm water.

We knead the dough with a whisk (it is easier and faster for them to achieve homogeneity than with a fork) and add a glass of flour.


Knead everything again and remove the bowl to the side until the dough doubles or triples. As a rule, this happens in 10-15 minutes.


Sift the flour last into the dough and knead the soft dough.


The dough is kneaded perfectly, and after 5 minutes it completely ceases to stick to the hands. After kneading to such a state, cover the bowl with the dough and put it on the rise. If, nevertheless, your dough is capricious and even after kneading it strongly sticks to your hands, add another handful of flour. Here it is important not to interrupt it with flour, otherwise the pies will lose their softness, so if the dough sticks, but just a little bit, you don't need to add anything else! During the time allotted for the rise, the flour will disperse, and the dough will become soft and elastic. Ideally, if your dough has time to come up twice (I have time while I am filling): after the first rise, we crush it, after the second rise, we crush it and send it to the formation of pies.


In the meantime, the dough rises, we make the filling. Wash the eggs and, dipping them into cold water, boil until tender (hard-boiled).


Wash the green onions as well, then shake well to remove the water. We tear off all the darkened parts from the feathers and chop finely.


Dip the boiled eggs into cold water, peel and chop finely in the same way. Mix with onion, add salt - and the filling is ready.


Knead the dough that comes up and divide into several small koloboks. The larger you want to get the pies, the larger the koloboks should be. I got them 12. We crush each bun again, flatten it a little, then roll it into a cake up to 0.5 cm thick. Put the onion-egg filling on each cake. I like a lot of toppings, so I put 2 tbsp each. l., directly pressing it into the dough, so that it is easier to close up the edges.


We form pies.

Lining the baking sheet with baking paper, if it is not oiled, grease it with oil and lay out the pies with the seam down. We give them 5-10 minutes. stand up and grow up again, after which we grease with protein and send to a preheated oven. Baking temperature - 200 gr., Time - about 20 minutes.

Hello dear readers. Homemade baked goods are definitely a favorite of my restless family. At least once a week, a tempting cake or, cupcake or cookie is always flaunting on the dining table. So today, the place of the main treat at dinner will be taken by a pie with green onions and an egg, which I baked from a quick yeast dough.

One old acquaintance has repeatedly persuaded me to cook a pie according to this recipe, claiming that I haven’t tasted a pie with onions and eggs tastier yet. But somehow I could not dare to deviate from the familiar recipe for making a pie with green onions, which had been tried many times over.

It seemed strange that the kneaded dough should be placed not in the heat, but, on the contrary, in the refrigerator. And in fact, it turned out to be much better, and it took 4 times less time to rise the dough. The pie with green onions and eggs turned out to be simply amazing: fluffy, soft, tender. I am pleased to share the recipe.

Pie with green onions and eggs

Ingredients:

  • warm water - 500 milliliters;
  • 35 grams of granulated sugar;
  • margarine - 30 grams;
  • 6 grams of salt;
  • vegetable oil - in the dough 60 grams plus 50 grams for the filling;
  • flour - 1 kilogram;
  • 60 grams of mayonnaise;
  • dry yeast - 20 grams;
  • eggs - 6 pieces;
  • green onions - 300 grams;

This amount of ingredients for the dough was enough for me to make two decent-sized cakes. The cooking time for the quick yeast cake was 90 minutes.

How to cook

The first thing I do is in a safe way. I breed dry yeast with sugar in warm water.

Then I add mayonnaise, salt and oil.

I introduce an egg (one), already beaten in a separate container, and flour in small portions.

I knead a soft, slightly sticky dough that swells right in front of my eyes. I put it in a greased bowl, cover it with food wrap and send it to the refrigerator for about half an hour.

In the meantime, I'm starting to prepare the filling. I pour vegetable oil into a mug and throw margarine there, melt it over low heat.

In parallel, I boil hard-boiled eggs. Finely chop the green onions (remembering to pre-rinse them under running water), cutting off the white ends, which I then use to prepare second courses. I chop the boiled and peeled eggs with a knife.

I put the chopped ingredients in a bowl, season with salt, pour with melted oils and mix well.

The filling is ready, and by that time the dough for the pie is still trying to get out of the cup (35 minutes was enough).

Forming a cake. On oiled parchment, knead the dough with my hands (a little more than ¼ of the total volume) into a rectangular layer and transfer it to a baking sheet.

Spread the green onion and egg filling over the surface of the dough.

I close the cake with the second layer, fasten the edges.

Immediately place the baking sheet with the pie in the still cold oven and set the temperature to 200 ° C. I bake for 40 minutes until a beautiful brown shade.
