To save time on boiling beets, I cook the beets in the microwave while the rest of the vegetables and eggs are boiling.

  2. Boil potatoes and chicken eggs, peel them.
  3. Grate potatoes on a fine or coarse grater. You can also cut vegetables into cubes, but in the first case, the salad will turn out to be more tender.
  4. Grate chicken eggs on a fine grater, whites separately, yolks separately.
  5. Cut lightly salted salmon into small cubes or strips.
  6. Wash and dry the apples; if the skin is tough, you can cut it off. Grate apples or cut into small cubes. To avoid darkening the fruit, you can sprinkle it with lemon juice.
