How to make peanut butter at home? If you have a blender, food processor, chopper or kitchen chopper, making such a treat from nuts will be very easy, simple and quick! How fast is it? The cooking time depends on two points: the power and characteristics of your technique and the condition of the original product, that is, peanuts.

To make homemade peanut butter, as well as the delicious, I used a chopper from my Braun blender set. Its power is 750 watts. I must say that this is a very good indicator. If you have a device with a low power, for example, 350 watts, then it is not known whether it will be able to cope with nuts the way it is needed in this case. And if he still succeeds, then for how long. Due to the fact that my blender is powerful, I spent only 2 minutes. With other indicators, the process can take up to 15 minutes. Here it is difficult for me to tell the exact time - it can only be determined empirically. When you first cook it, you will already draw the right conclusions regarding the interaction between your kitchen helper and the peanuts. And then it will be easier to navigate.

Homemade peanut butter, the recipe for which I present to your attention today, involves pre-cooking raw peanuts. This can be done in any convenient way - in the oven or in a frying pan. If you choose the first option, then put the nuts right in the husk on a baking sheet in one layer. And ignite at 180-degree temperature for 10 to 25 minutes, depending on your taste preferences and the characteristics of the oven. In this case, every five minutes, the baking sheet should be removed to mix the nuts. I choose the second option - it is more convenient for me to roast the peanuts in a dry, unlubricated frying pan. Therefore, I send it to gas and periodically turn the nuts with a spatula too for a more uniform roasting.

You can also make peanut butter at home from salted and roasted peanuts. I like this approach less, because I usually feel some completely unnecessary aftertaste for roasted commercial peanuts. I can't say for sure what it is. Maybe the manufacturer adds a fragrance or preservative. Or, after all, oils are added during processing, and they are oxidized during storage. Do not know. But if just such a peanut falls into my hands, then I do it from it. It turns out much faster in time. However, in cases where there is an opportunity to buy raw peanuts, I prefer them, although I have to additionally tinker with roasting and peeling the nuts.

And now I would like to dwell on one more aspect: why this yummy can be attributed to the category - peanut butter recipe at home pp. The thing is that in this case I used only one ingredient for cooking - peanuts themselves! I didn't add anything else to the paste - no butter, no sugar, honey or any sweet syrup. Thanks to this very moment, the taste of this particular peanut butter is the most authentic. However, no one bothers you to dream up and add any ingredients, using this recipe as a base. Ingredients:

First of all, I calcined the nuts. To do this, I poured the peanuts in their original form, that is, in the peel, into a dry frying pan and put it on gas. The fire can be made slow - then the nuts will roast more evenly, but the process will take much longer. I usually do not have the patience for this)) I fry over medium heat or even a little more. But after 2-3 minutes after setting on gas, I begin to stir so that the nuts do not burn out.
It usually takes me about 10 minutes to bake it this way.

She let the roasted peanuts cool, just so as not to burn. Freed the peels from the nuts. After heat treatment, the skin is peeled off much easier. Usually I do this: I take one nut with my left hand, with a simple movement I peel off the peel, pass it to my right hand, which, by not pressing very hard, divides the nut into two parts. And then I put it in the prepared dish. Thanks to this, I no longer chop the nuts with a knife when transferring them to a blender.

Poured peeled roasted peanuts into the chopper bowl. Look at your technique and the selected amount of nuts - it may be better to grind the peanuts in two, three or four steps. Do not exceed the amount of food for grinding in one pass, which is indicated in the instructions for your kitchen gadget.

Now the fun part is starting to grind the nuts at maximum speed. Exactly 1 minute later, I had the following result:

I continued to grind, turning on top speed for another minute. So, in the end, after two full minutes of grinding, I got this homogeneous texture of peanut butter:

Peanuts, like any other nut, release natural oils during grinding. Due to this, the mass does not turn out to be dry and lumpy. However, if the power of your equipment is below 750 W, a different result may await you in two minutes. For example, a small crumb. That means, keep whisking further, taking the necessary breaks. Here, too, it is better to check the instructions for your blender. Mine, for example, has a maximum operating time without interruption of 2 minutes. It may take you up to 15 minutes to get the desired result. If, nevertheless, the technique cannot cope in any way, then to achieve the desired consistency, you can still add honey or some kind of sweet syrup.

That's all! Now you know how to make peanut butter at home! I like to eat it just with bread, baguette or rolls. And you can use it with cookies, bread, biscuit. Add to ice cream or just eat with a spoon without everything or with tea, coffee - whatever you want! Peanut butter can be used to bake cookies or fill in croissants. Wait 5 minutes without doing anything with the mass, which has become homogeneous. If the separated oil comes out, turn the mass again and put it in a jar or eat it as soon as possible.
