You know, there are recipes that always come to the rescue when a friend says that in 30 minutes she will come to visit, and you only have butter, lemon, eggs in the fridge (and a mouse that hanged itself).
Then add a spoonful of lemon juice.
We take it out of the bowl and knead the dough on a flat surface (on the table) under the warmth of our hands, the butter absorbs the flour, and the dough begins to form into a plastic mass.
After a smooth plastic dough is formed, it is necessary to wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
While the dough is in the fridge, I preparing icing... Icing is a glaze. To prevent the glaze from darkening and to make it thicker, I add a little lemon juice (1/2 teaspoon).
I want to note that the amount of sugar indicated in the recipe for making icing can be slightly varied. It depends on how large the egg was from which we extracted the protein.
The glaze is brought to the required consistency. A thicker glaze for the contour, and a liquid glaze for filling. Then we cover with cling film so that it does not get covered with a crust.
For convenience, you can use a piping bag with a nozzle. But, in my experience, a bag is no worse for drawing simple patterns.
Cooking cookies, cutting them to shape.
We spread the cookies on pastry paper. In the oven, set the temperature to 180 degrees. We bake for about 8 minutes.
It is very important not to overlook when the liver is browned. They burn up instantly!
I usually decorate the stars with icing.
I use a regular plastic bag to decorate with icing. First, I cut off the corner, and then I load the icing there. After all the frosting is in the bag, cut off the end of the bag and start painting.
I want to say that these simple livers always delight all my guests! And absolutely everyone leaves me with a recipe. Today I am pleased to share this "star" recipe with you! And yes, this is my debut on the site :)

Often cooked for holidays such as New Year, Christmas or Easter... But, despite this, it can become a frequent guest on your table. After all, a holiday can be arranged on any day, and please the family with something beautiful and unusual. The main thing is time and desire! :)
Sugar cookies:
3 cups (390 grams) wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (227 grams) butter, room temperature
1 cup (200 grams) sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (liquid vanilla)
Glaze:
2 large (60 grams) egg whites
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
3 cups (330 grams) caster sugar
Sugar cookies:
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, salt and baking soda.
Beat butter and sugar with a mixer until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes). Continuing to beat, add eggs and vanilla. Whisk until all ingredients are well mixed.
Add the flour mixture to the resulting mass and knead a smooth elastic dough.
Divide the dough in half and wrap each half in plastic wrap. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about one hour so that it rolls out well enough and forms the desired shape.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and place a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in the center of the oven.
Remove one half of the chilled dough from the refrigerator and, on a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm. Make sure the dough does not stick to the table by twisting it slightly.
Assistant:)
Using a lightly floured cookie cutter, cut dough cookies of the desired shape, and then gently transfer the cookies to the baking sheet.
There are many forms of such cookies. Personally, we made a family of deer, Christmas trees, circles, a horse, a bear, stars, bells, squares.
Place the baking sheet with uncooked cookies in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to chill the dough. This is to ensure that the cookies do not lose their shape during baking.
Cookies should be baked for 8-10 minutes (depending on size) or until the edges are just beginning to turn brown.
Then remove the cookies from the oven and let cool.
It turns out about 36 cookies per serving. We got this much with 2 servings of dough.
Egg Whites Glaze:
Beat the egg whites with lemon juice with a mixer. Then add sugar and beat on low speed until smooth. Add more sugar or water until desired consistency. Add food coloring if needed. The glaze should be used immediately or stored in an airtight container as it hardens quickly on contact with air.
After the cookies have cooled down, we proceed to dyeing them with glaze... There are also many options. Here's what we got:
The biscuits can be frozen along with the frosting, if necessary. Make sure the frosting is completely dry before storing or packaging (this can take hours or overnight).
Store cookies between layers of parchment or wax paper.
After the glaze was dry, we packed it in transparent bags, tied it with ribbons and attached small postcards with the authorship signature. It turned out to be a box of wonderful sugar cookies with glaze for a gift to family and friends.

For glaze:
Beat butter, sugar and vanillin with a mixer. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt and beat until smooth. Pour in milk and mix well again.
Roll out the dough and cut out circles or figures of the desired shape. Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 13 minutes.
While the finished cookies are cooling, add the icing. To do this, put butter, cocoa and milk in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the butter melts. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar and stir thoroughly.
Pour the chocolate icing over the cookies and garnish with confectionery sprinkles if desired. This should be done immediately, because the glaze quickly hardens. If the frosting has thickened, simply heat it over the fire for 15–20 seconds, stirring constantly.
Whisk in the butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanillin and mix well. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and sour cream and knead the dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least a couple of hours.
Roll out the dough and cut out the figures. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 10-12 minutes. The cookies should be lightly browned. Let it cool before applying the frosting. You will find three glaze recipes at the end of the article.
Beat butter, sugar, icing sugar, vanillin, mint extract and egg with a mixer. If you can't find the peppermint extract, replace it with a pinch of cinnamon. The cookies will have a different, but no less pleasant winter taste and aroma. Then add flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.
Divide the dough into two equal portions. Add food coloring to one of them to make a bright red dough. Wrap each piece in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
Then pinch off some of the dough from both sides. Roll them into thin sausages about 12 cm long with your hands. Roll them into a pigtail and form a "candy cane". Do the same for the rest of the test.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 8-10 minutes, until lightly browned. Decorate the finished cookies with powdered sugar.
Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer. Add eggs, vanillin, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Stir until smooth. Add flour gradually, stirring the dough constantly.
Add chopped nuts and chocolate chips to the dough. You can make it yourself: just chop the white chocolate finely. Peel the apple, core and cut into small cubes. Add the apple to the dough and stir.
Form the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Slightly flatten the balls with your hand, make a small indentation in the middle of each and fill it with caramel. Sprinkle with nuts, chocolate chips and cinnamon. Flatten the cookies with a spatula.
Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 12 minutes, until the cookies are browned. Cool it completely before serving. By the way, the next day these cookies will be even tastier than immediately after cooking.
Beat the butter and sugar with a mixer until creamy. Then add vanillin and salt. Add flour gradually, beating the dough constantly. Add nuts and mix thoroughly. Divide the dough in two, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
Using your hands, shape the chilled dough into small balls about 2.5 cm in diameter. Place them on parchment-lined baking trays and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 12-14 minutes, until the cookies begin to brown. Do not bake for too long, or the balls will break.
Dip the biscuits in the icing sugar while they are still warm. Let it cool and roll in the powder again.

For glaze:
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, use a mixer to beat the sugar, softened butter, ricotta and lemon zest. While beating, add the eggs one at a time. Add flour mixture and vanillin and stir until smooth. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.
Form the chilled dough into balls about 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Place the balls on parchment-lined baking sheets, flattening the bottom slightly. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 9-11 minutes, until lightly browned.
While the cookies are cooling, combine the powdered sugar and lemon juice. If the icing is too thick, add a little more lemon juice. Pour ½ teaspoon of icing over each cookie. If you wish, you can decorate the cookies with pastry sprinkles.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add marshmallows and stir until dissolved. If you are using marshmallows, cut them into small pieces and add a little water to the pot.
Remove the pan from heat, add food coloring, vanillin, and cornflakes. Mix everything thoroughly. Place a tablespoon of this mixture on parchment oiled with vegetable oil. While the mixture is warm, use your hands to form New Year's wreaths from it and decorate with dragees. Leave the cookies to cool on the parchment at room temperature.
And this video clearly shows the process of preparing these "wreaths":

For filling:
Make the dough first. Mix the butter, sugar, baking powder and salt with a mixer. Add egg and vanillin until smooth. Gradually add flour and knead the dough. Divide the dough into two, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough into thin layers. Cut out figurines from the dough, place them on baking sheets lined with parchment and bake in an oven preheated to 190 ° C for 8-10 minutes.
Mix the filling ingredients, adding milk as needed. You should have a thick cream. Place a teaspoon of coffee filling over one cookie and cover with the other. Combine the cocoa and icing sugar and sprinkle on the sandwiches.
Combine sugar, softened butter, cream cheese, salt, vanillin and egg yolk until smooth. Add flour gradually, stirring the dough constantly. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Place the chilled dough on a floured table and roll out into a thin layer. Do not roll it too thin, otherwise the cookies will turn out tough. If there is too much dough, just put the excess in the refrigerator until next time.
Cut figurines out of the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake the cookies in an oven preheated to 190 ° C for 7-10 minutes, until they are lightly browned. Cool the cookies before decorating.
Beat butter and sugar with a mixer. Add honey, egg and water and stir. In another bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and gradually add them to the dough, stirring constantly. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for half an hour.
Roll out the dough into a thin layer on a floured surface. Cut out figurines from the dough and place them on baking sheets greased with vegetable oil or lined with parchment. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 8-10 minutes, until the cookies are browned.

Now, I think, everyone can choose a recipe to their liking in order to bake the most delicious and aromatic cookies. And now that our pastries are ready, it's time to think about how and how to decorate New Year's cookies, so that they would not be ashamed to put them on the table and hang them on the Christmas tree.
The easiest, but no less attractive, way to decorate a cookie is to print on it using a homemade or purchased stencil or "print". To do this, press the stencil tightly against the cut out figurine of raw dough, and then bake the cookies.
A beautiful colored pattern on cookies can be made using sugar, dyed with food dyes. To do this, drop a little dye into a bowl with sugar and stir until damp. Then spread the sugar in a thin layer on a baking sheet and leave at room temperature until completely dry. Apply sugar to freshly baked cookies or freshly applied frosting.
The fluffy border on the cookies can be made using the same sugar. To do this, put a strip of jam or condensed milk on the cookies with a thin layer and sprinkle with sugar. Let dry and gently shake off excess crumbs.
Cookies decorated with protein glaze look beautiful and effective. It is not difficult to prepare it.
Plain white cookie frosting
1 raw egg white
-200 g icing sugar
-Juice of 1 lemon
Beat the cooled protein with a mixer, gradually adding powdered sugar. The mass should increase in volume by 3-4 times. At the end of whipping, add lemon juice. Instead of juice, you can add 8-20 drops of citric acid or 4-5 drops of vinegar. The glaze is ground until white and luxuriant.
If desired, you can make a colored glaze by adding juices of vegetables and berries instead of lemon juice. Pink and red can be obtained by adding raspberry, strawberry, currant or beetroot juices. The orange color is given to the glaze by carrot juice, yellow - by sage broth, green - by spinach juice, blue - by red cabbage juice. As you can see, no chemical dyes, because our children will eat this beauty.
With the help of glaze, you can paint real masterpieces. Cover all cookies with icing and let dry. Now grab the glaze of different colors and let your imagination run wild. When applying multiple coats, let them dry before applying the next one.
If you plan to decorate your artwork with store-bought edible beads or other sprinkles, you don't need to wait for the glaze to dry.
The latest squeak of fashion is decorating New Year's cookies with sweet mastic. To prepare it, you need:
200 g marshmallows
-400 g icing sugar
-1 tsp butter, melted
-3 tsp lemon juice (water)
I put the marshmallows in a bowl, sprinkle with lemon juice (or water) and melted butter and put in a hot oven. Warm until the marshmallows begin to melt and increase in volume. Powdered sugar is gradually added to the mass and mixed. You can also add dyes there.
When the sweet mass thickens and it is difficult to mix with a spoon, it is laid out on the table and continues to knead with your hands, constantly adding powder. The mastic is considered ready if it does not stick to your hands.
The mastic is rolled out with a rolling pin and cut out using stencils. You can stick it to the liver using thick sugar syrup or jam. To make the mastic shine, walk over it with a brush dipped in vodka or another solution containing alcohol.
If you plan to use the cookie as a Christmas tree decoration, remember to make a thread hole in it before baking.
Be sure to involve kids in making New Year's cookies. This is a very exciting activity to cut out figurines from the dough and decorate at your own discretion. Enjoy your New Year's worries!

In addition to cottage cheese, eggs, flour, butter, sugar are usually added to it. As for choux pastry, it can also be used. Another option is to melt the chocolate bar in a water bath, and then add 250 g of powdered sugar, an incomplete spoonful of butter and a glass of milk.
