Manty in our family is one of my favorite dishes, but I don’t always want to mess with modeling. It seems that not so much time is needed to make them, at least much faster than dumplings, but still ... Just today, a very successful recipe for quick mantis from the "for the lazy" series turned up. This is one of the most delicious Uzbek dishes, and is called "Khanum". The principle of preparation is the same as ordinary manti, only cook in the form of a roll, and after cooking, cut into slices and get beautiful roses! And with fillings, you can vary to your taste and color - with pumpkin, and with potatoes, and cabbage. I cooked lazy manti  from minced meat and pumpkin, it turned out very savory and delicious!

Ingredients for Lazy Manti

For the test:

  • Water - 200 ml
  • Eggs - 1 pc.
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. L
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Flour - 3 cups

For filling:

  • Minced meat - 500 gr
  • Onion - 2 pcs.
  • Pumpkin - 200 gr
  • Salt, pepper, herbs - to taste

Cooking

We make dough for Hanum both for dumplings or manti.

Pour flour into a cup, make a depression, drive an egg into it.

In a glass of warm water, stir a teaspoon of salt and 3 tbsp of vegetable oil for elasticity.
Knead the dough so that it does not stick to your hands, put it in a bag and remove until the refrigerator. In the meantime, prepare the filling.

Finely chop the onion. Heat the pan, add 2-3 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil and lightly fry the onion until half cooked.

Three pumpkin on a coarse grater.

Add the pumpkin to the onion and also lightly fry for a minute.

We combine the steamed vegetables with minced meat.

Salt, pepper, add finely chopped greens if desired.

Mix well.

The dough and minced meat are divided into two parts. We roll each part of the dough into a thin layer, about 1 mm (the thinner the dough is, the more gentle the taste of manti will be).

We spread our filling for Hanum on a rolled cake evenly. Next, the dough with the filling is carefully folded into a roll.

We fasten the ends of the roll so that during cooking the juice does not flow out, but remains inside the roll. We do the same with the second part of the test. That's all!

We spread the roll in a pressure cooker or a double boiler, after having greased the form with butter or vegetable oil.

I also oiled the roll myself. Cover and cook, depending on the filling, about 45 minutes.

In the meantime, you can cook Hanum garlic sauce. To do this, mix in a bowl sour cream with mayonnaise in equal proportions, add finely chopped clove of garlic and herbs.

Put the finished roll on a dish, grease with melted butter and cut into slices.

Top with sprinkled finely chopped green onions or herbs. Enjoy your meal!
