To prepare such rolls, it is best to use bread for toast or sandwiches (rye, wheat or bran). But, if you don’t have one, take a regular mold or some kind. Berries are suitable both fresh and frozen. And for extra taste and tenderness, stock up on soft cream cheese (melted or cottage cheese). In addition, in the process of preparing this dish, you will need an omelet mixture (according to the classics, consisting of milk and eggs) and dry breading (here you can already experiment using crackers, nuts, corn or oatmeal).

Ingredients:

  • sandwich bread - 6 slices;
  • frozen berries (currants and raspberries) - a large handful;
  • processed cream cheese ("Merry Milkman" or "Hochland") - 150-170 gr.;
  • sweet corn flakes - 1-2 handfuls;
  • chicken egg (grade 1) - 2 pcs.;
  • milk - 30 ml;
  • vegetable oil - no more than 2 tablespoons (it is only needed to lubricate the foil).
  • Yield: 6 toasts (barely sweet only due to the berries).
  • Cooking time - 30 minutes.

How to make bread rolls for toast:

Switch on the oven immediately, setting the heating temperature to 180 °C.

If the bread you are using has a tough crust, carefully cut it off in a thin layer around the entire perimeter of the slices. If the crust is soft, then there is no need to cut it off. Armed with a rolling pin, roll out a piece of bread, thereby making it thinner by at least half. At the same time, it will also increase in size a little.

Next, spread the resulting bread cake with soft cheese (adjust the thickness of the spread layer to your liking) and lay a row of berries along one of its edges. Sweet tooth can still sprinkle a little sugar.

Roll the bread into a roll. Do the same manipulations with the rest of the slices of bread and place the rolls on a plate.

Now prepare everything for breading. Beat eggs and mix with milk. If you like, sweeten the egg mixture by adding a little granulated sugar. Vanillin will not be superfluous in this case. Grind corn flakes into crumbs using a blender.

Dip each roll in the egg mixture first.

Then roll in corn crumbs.

Line a baking sheet (preferably with low sides) with a sheet of foil (or parchment) and grease it with oil. Lay the breaded bread rolls with berries on a sheet, leaving a little space between them (so that they do not touch each other). Put the baking sheet in the oven for literally 13-15 minutes.
