How else to make cherry puff pastry pie? The recipe can be slightly adjusted, and you get a semblance of the famous Austrian strudel. To work, you need the following main ingredients:

  • 400 grams of puff pastry, the yolk of one egg, a kilogram of cherries, 100 grams of raisins and bread crumbs, 200 grams of regular and 1 bag of vanilla sugar, 50 grams of peeled walnuts.

The process starts with preparing the products:

  1. First you need to roll out the dough. It is better to do this on a wide towel, lightly dusting it with flour.
  2. Remove the seeds from the cherries. For this, you can use a special device.
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing raisins, sugar (along with vanilla), crackers and chopped nuts in one bowl.

  1. First you need to defrost the dough. To do this, simply put it on the table and leave it at room temperature for 35 minutes. It must remain cold, as the overheated product is more difficult to process.
  2. During this time, you also need to defrost the cherries. It should initially be seedless, since then it will be extremely difficult to extract them from the softened berries.
  3. Powder the sugar with a grinder or coffee grinder.
  4. Roll 2/3 of the dough into a layer 5 millimeters thick and line it with a baking dish, carefully cutting along the perimeter of the edge.
  5. Grease the surface with jam, and then lightly sprinkle with starch. This is necessary in order to stabilize the liquid and in the end make the baked goods moderately moist.

  • for 300 grams of puff pastry 50 grams of semolina, 200 grams of cherries (you can even frozen), 250 grams of fat cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 10 grams of vanilla and 50 grams of regular sugar.

The procedure for preparing such a cake can be divided into several stages:

  1. First you need to make the filling. To do this, the cottage cheese must be mixed with 1 egg and sugar (along with vanilla).
  2. Then add the cherries and gradually introduce the semolina. In this case, the berries must be dry.
  3. Roll out the dough into an even layer no more than 6 millimeters thick.
  4. Spread the prepared filling on it, leaving 2 centimeters of free space along the edges.
  5. Roll up the workpiece with a roll.
  6. Place it on a baking sheet and brush over with an egg.
  7. Send the product to the oven for 25 minutes, preheating it to 180 degrees.

Another hot pie can be immediately cut into pieces and served with coffee or tea.

Juicy "Snail"

For homemade baking, the snail pie made of puff pastry with cherries is ideal. The fact is that it is done so simply and quickly that even a novice hostess is able to cope with such work. To work, you need a minimum amount of ingredients:

  • ½ kilogram of puff pastry, 1 liter of canned cherries in its own juice, 40 grams of wheat flour, 30 grams of potato starch and 10 grams of vegetable oil.

The cooking process surprises with its originality:

  1. Defrost the dough (if necessary) and roll it out into the thinnest possible layer.
  2. Cut it into equal strips and sprinkle them with starch. The width of each piece is usually at least 5 centimeters.
  3. Strain the berries by throwing them in a colander. Syrup is not required in this case.
  4. Lay the cherries on the strips in even rows, and then gently pinch the edges of each piece.
  5. Lay the tubes into the mold one after the other in the form of a spiral.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes at 175 degrees.
  7. In order for the crust of the cake to brown, the flame must be increased by 10 degrees and held in the oven for another 10 minutes.
