Surprisingly simply and quickly, you can cook a delicious hake in the Redmond slow cooker. In general, it has long been one of the favorite dishes in many families, but with the help of multi cooking it is a real pleasure. At one time in the bowl you can fry a whole, not large carcass. But we will not fry it entirely. Remove the bones and cut the fish into pieces.

You can buy hake fillets at the store and fry them in batter without much effort. Any fish is prepared in the same way. But I decided to stay on the traditional way - to separate the fillets on my own. What's more, it's quite easy.

Recipe Information

Cooking method: in the multicooker Redmond 4502.

Total cooking time: 20 minutes.

Servings: 2 .

Ingredients:

  • hake - 1 pc.
  • flour -2 tbsp
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • mayonnaise (optional) - 1 tbsp.
  • salt pepper
  • vegetable oil.

Cooking method:

On a note

  • The recipe can be simplified if you dip the pieces of fish first in flour, then in the egg, and send immediately to the pan. Thus, you can make the batter layer even thicker by dipping in the indicated ingredients twice.
  • Instead of hake, you can use any fish fillet.

Today I will tell you about my recipe for making a delicious hake dish, although you can take this simple recipe as the basis for cooking any fish, even sea or river. So, baked hake in a slow cooker with onions in mayonnaise and yogurt sauce.

I spied a recipe for a delicious hake from my mother. She first cooks fried hake, pollock, or pieces of small catfish in a frying pan. Then he layers the fish with fried onions in a deep frying pan, saucepan or brazier with a lid and stews with sauce. Sour cream or sour cream with mayonnaise mixed with salt, pepper and various seasonings can serve as a sauce for stewed hake.

Well, as always, I’m experimenting in my kitchen and trying to present a simple and affordable recipe for a delicious dish, today it will be a baked hake in a slow cooker with an interesting sauce (who doesn’t have a slow cooker, I advise you to cook stewed hake on the stove or baked in the oven according to this recipe ).

Hake baked in a slow cooker

For the baked hake recipe you will need:

  • Fresh frozen hake - 3 4 fish without a head,
  • Onion - 2-3 heads,
  • Classic yogurt without fillers (I took a glass of Activia yogurt) or sour cream,
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons (you can completely replace sour cream, but it tastes better)
  • Salt, pepper, spices for fish - to taste,
  • Ground ginger - a pinch
  • Vegetable oil for sautéing onions
  • Water.

How to cook hake in a slow cooker

Hake or before cooking should thaw, then rinse the fish, free from tails and fins. Cut the prepared fish into portioned pieces, no need to grind, 3-4 parts will be enough. Hake needs to be salted and seasoned with spices.

Only onion will be fried in this recipe, hake in a slow cooker with sauce will be baked or stewed (as you like). So, on the “baking” or “frying” program (the last function is absent in my Panasonic multicooker), with the lid open, we sauté chopped onions in vegetable oil. As you like: rings, half rings or feathers (I generally chopped quarters). We take out the fried onions from the multicooker.

It is not necessary to wash the bowl of the multicooker after frying the onion; we put pieces of hake rolled in flour directly into it.

From yogurt, mayonnaise, salt, spices and ground ginger (I used dry ginger powder) we make a sauce

and cover them with pieces of hake. We put fried onions on top of the fish, add a little water (like in the photo) and switch the multicooker to the “baking” mode. The hake cooking time in a slow cooker in this mode will be 35 minutes if the fish is laid in 1 layer.

After the signal, open the lid of the multicooker and voila: a delicious baked hake is ready!

We shift the fish to a dish and serve it to the table, it is very tasty both hot and cold!

Hake in the sauce according to this recipe is juicy, tender and tasty, I recommend it.

Anyuta wishes you bon appetit!

Hake is a healthy fish, but not oily. Nutritionists consider this a plus, but because of the low fat content, housewives do not always dare to cook it, being afraid to dry it out. This will not stop a skilled culinary specialist: armed with proven recipes, he will be able to fry, bake, and stew hake so that it is tasty, juicy and tender. If the hostess has little experience, kitchen appliances will come to her aid. If you know how to cook hake in a slow cooker, you should not be afraid of unpleasant surprises: the dish will turn out to be as tasty as from the chef.

Cooking features

There are not so many secrets of cooking hake in a slow cooker, but they are all equally important.

  • Even the best chef will not be able to cook a delicious dish from low-quality fish. Therefore, when buying, you need to pay attention to the appearance of the hake. If its carcasses are deformed, the fillets are broken into pieces, and there is a lot of snow and ice in the bag, it is better to refuse to buy. All these factors indicate that the fish has been thawed once (or even more) and frozen again. In this case, she has lost a lot of fluid, so that her juiciness can no longer be returned. In addition, there is no guarantee that such a product is not spoiled or dangerous to health.
  • It is necessary to defrost hake, avoiding a sharp temperature drop. Do not immerse it in warm or room temperature water, do not heat it in the microwave. It is better to let the fish thaw on the top shelf of the refrigerator. Then it will be as juicy as fresh.
  • When cutting the fish yourself, be sure to remove the black film inside - it gives the fish bitterness. About the fact that the tail and fins also do not decorate your dish, you probably guessed it yourself.
