What to bring for a picnic. Useful tips and original ideas for a picnic

Tourism - when friends are bored
given to you:
wherever you want, you will lead there,
the more you can, the more you will.

When I want to characterize my preferences in relaxation, I most often ask people to imagine a very simple picture - a big lazy cat reclining on silk pillows. Everything is simple.

No tents, hiking and mosquitoes. Soft bed, clean beaches, well-groomed animals on excursions, well-fed rabbits for lunch :).

However, things that for the previous 20 years have lived only in the inflamed brain of avid tourists are creeping into my life with small but confident steps - tents, bowlers, and so on and so forth.

Now I know what a karemat (a special tourist rug) is, how to set up a tent correctly, how much buckwheat should be poured into a pot if more than 20 people eat, and what will happen to me if I inadvertently forget my face cream.

That is why I decided to write a short digression about the life of a person who loves to lie on silk pillows, but at the same time, he is now completely calm about the proposal “to go out of town for a couple of days with tents”.

To begin with, I divided the rest into 2 categories - easy and medium. The level is the most difficult and the highest, I, thank God, have not yet comprehended. I am alien to the calculations of the caretaker for the camp, how much food you need to take with you for a month (!!), so I offer you my own modest experience. So,

You are going on a small picnic without spending the night to the beach or out of town. Here I also include trips to the country to friends, outings within the city, etc.

List of necessary things:

  • Pads that are comfortable to lie on. If you are traveling by car, a picnic table with chairs or sun loungers for the female half of the team would be ideal.
  • A couple of plastic salad bowls, a set of disposable tableware, napkins, and a tablecloth. Do not forget large glasses for beer or kvass.
  • If you want to cook something on a fire (barbecue, fish soup or bake vegetables), then be sure to take a meat grate, a pot, matches, a bundle of firewood (if you are in a place without particularly good vegetation) and a small folding brazier.
  • It is worth taking care of the presence of a pair of knives, one cutting board and several bottles of clean drinking water, which can be used to rinse dirty dishes or hands.
  • Sun and bug creams will also come in handy.
  • Hats, comfortable shoes for walking, a well-charged camera, a warm jacket in case of a sharp cold snap should occupy the first places in your bag.
  • First aid kit, which includes basic remedies for headaches, pain in the abdomen, burns, allergies. If you are taking any special tablets, do not forget to take them with you.

Sample menu:

You are going for a few days outside the city (wild vacation on the sea or river). Such a vacation implies self-cooking, and also, possibly, involves living in not very comfortable conditions (tents). Of course, this includes trips to the country or to the sea in the houses.

List of necessary things:

  • Tents, mats, bedding, deck chairs, hammock, chairs, picnic table or tent (makes cooking easier).
  • From the dishes, everyone needs to take a bowl, a spoon / fork, as well as a cup. I advise you not to take disposable dishes - it is inconvenient to eat hot food in it.
  • Take care of the presence of an ax, matches, a bowler hat (+ tripod), a grill for meat or vegetables, a bowler hat or a teapot for making tea, coffee or cocoa.
  • For the entire camp, you need to have a couple of large deep bowls, a cutting board, and knives.
  • Napkins, toothpicks, tablecloth, sponge and dish soap.
  • It is also necessary to consider the option of drying clothes (it is worth taking a rope and clothespins), changing the weather (taking a film to create a canopy), as well as cold and damp weather (preparing one bundle of dry firewood).
  • It is worth considering how you will sit, relax, sleep. For all this, you need to take sleeping bags, warm blankets and other practical and warm things.
  • A flashlight, an insect repellent - this is something that no rest, which implies a night, can do without.
  • Comfortable shoes, warm comfortable clothes, and socks are what can come in handy during the evening sitting by the fire and walking.
  • A thin blanket or terry sheet that you can wrap yourself in after an evening swim or near a fire.
  • Spare swimsuit (you never know)
  • Clothes for comfortable sleep (shorts / leggings and a long T-shirt are usually ideal (I take my father's)).
  • Water for rinsing dishes and hands
  • Hygiene products
  • First aid kit: aspirin, citramon, chloramphenicol, activated charcoal, hypoallergenic products, creams for household and sun burns.

Sample menu:

First you need to determine how many meals you will have for the entire period of rest and, based on this information, buy the necessary products. Usually for breakfast, my friend and I plan sandwiches and cookies, for lunch - hot first courses, for dinner - a side dish with something meaty. And, based on these blanks, approximately, such a list of products follows.

  • Canned food, stew, pickled meat or fish
  • Vegetables for salads, herbs, mayonnaise, salt, spices
  • Vegetables for cooking on the grill - zucchini, blue, tomatoes and mushrooms
  • Potatoes, several packs of different cereals or pasta
  • Tea, coffee, sugar
  • Bread, cookies, chips, croutons, seeds
  • Fruits and sweets
  • Juices, mineral water
  • Shrimps can be considered a good option (necessarily pre-frozen and cooked already directly at the resting place)
  • For lovers of easy and safe drinking, I advise you to cook mulled wine in the evening. For this you will need light red wine, cloves, apples, oranges and cinnamon. You can also add honey to taste.

What to do on such a vacation?

As one of the variants of the “crocodile”, you can use the game in the water - we make up a word for someone and this someone, jumping from any elevation in the water - a pier, a stone, tries to depict this word in the air. Of course, you need a fotik, imagination and a good mood :). And don't forget to be careful, of course.

You can still rant for a long time what game you can play in nature, but in fact it all depends on your desire and activity. You can invent your own games, entertainment and jokes. Nobody canceled the joint singing of modern hits near the fire, as well as elementary hide and seek within the same tent

Happy holidays my dears.

What do you need for a successful picnic? Of course, to gather a good company. And then you can start organizing.

1. Determine the day

We study the weather forecast and choose the warmest and sunniest day. The ideal picnic cannot be held in the rain and with a cold wind. If you do not believe in forecasts, then it is better to immediately buy several raincoats.

We agree on a date with friends. Is everything confirmed? Then we continue.

2. Find a good place

We are looking for a cozy green place with a beautiful view. You can go to the lake, take a walk to a picturesque clearing in the forest, or go to the nearest park. Or maybe there are mountains near your city?

3. Cook food

Now we are planning a picnic menu. It is best to prepare several different snacks and take plenty of fruit. It is desirable that the products are not perishable, otherwise you will have to take a cooler bag. Grab buns, cookies, light cakes, and hams - anything simple and tasty. Or make snacks according to our recipes.

  • Picnic Turkey Rolls

Cooking method: brush thin pita bread or cream cheese tortilla. Lay on toplettuce, turkey, tomato, egg, onion and avocado. Add a piece of bacon, gently roll into a tube and cut in half.

  • Tomatoes stuffed with mushrooms

Method of preparation: cut off the top of the tomato and carefully cut out the pulp. Drain the juice, finely chop the pulp. Fry chopped mushrooms and onions in a pan. Grate cheese, add tomatoes, onions, mushrooms to it. Season with pepper, add two tablespoons of mayonnaise or sour cream, mix. Divide the resulting mixture into tomatoes.

  • Mini sandwiches with curd cheese

Cooking method: cut Borodino bread into small pieces, spread tomato curd cheese on it. Roll up a slice of raw smoked sausage and put on a sandwich. Decorate with greenery.

However, no one forbids you to have a belly feast and cook a lot of original dishes!

4. Think about drinks

Everything is suitable for a picnic: from refreshing citrus. As for alcoholic drinks, we offer light ones - apple cider or fruit sangria.

  • Lemon Cucumber Lemonade with Basil

Cooking method: grate the cucumber on a coarse grater, squeeze the juice. Cut the lemon into two parts and squeeze the juice. Another cucumber and lemon cut into rings. Put cucumber and lemon rings in a jug or jar, pour in lemon-cucumber juice, sweeten to taste with sugar, honey or syrup, add basil leaves. Pour in water and let steep.

Lemonade is best transported in a large glass jar or plastic jug with a tight lid.

  • classic sangria

Cooking method: cut apple, orange and lemon into small pieces. Mix wine with water in a 1:1 ratio, add sugar - 3 tablespoons per 1 liter of wine. Put fruit in the drink. It is best to keep sangria in the refrigerator before serving. In our case, a cooler bag will do.

However, a bottle of good wine or regular juice will also do. It is only important to know in advance the preferences of all your friends. Food and drinks are ready - let's go!

5. Take tablecloths or a blanket

Now let's decide what will be our table. We need two tablecloths. The first is an ordinary film that we lay on the ground. The second is a beautiful fabric or a thin blanket, put on top of the film. It is the tablecloth that will set the tone for the entire picnic.

6. Decide where you will sit

There is a table, but what about the chairs? Soft pillows! Ask each guest to take a small cushion so that seating is not an issue at the picnic.

An option for those who love comfort is folding picnic furniture. The table and four stools fold up to the size of a diplomat, they can easily fit even in the trunk of a small car.

And in order not to be afraid of the evening coolness, take some warm and soft microfiber blankets with you - these can be found in the bedding salon.

Plaid from the salon, price: from 2,160 rubles.

7. Decide on the dishes

What kind of dishes to take - regular or disposable? Let's do without white plastic plates and cups and. Even if the dishes are disposable, then let it be a beautiful paper picnic set. But we insist on bringing the usual dishes with you - at least glasses for wine and several large plates for fruits and sandwiches.

And one more thing: take some wooden boards. What for? We will talk about this a little later.

Perhaps it makes sense to buy a special basket in which it is convenient to store and transport everything you need for a picnic.

8. Come up with entertainment

What will you do in nature? Grab badminton rackets, a Frisbee and don't forget a few board games like Imaginarium or Elias.

If you take children on a picnic, take care of their leisure time. Suitable, for example, board games-walkers.

Fun competitive game "Moana. Call of the Ocean" will captivate both children and adults. The task of the game is to cross the ocean, get to the mysterious island as quickly as possible and return the stolen heart of the goddess Te Fiti. Many other games for all ages can be found in the store.

"Moana. Call of the ocean”, price: from 132 rubles.

Do not neglect active rest! One of the fashionable entertainments is riding a hoverboard. Powerful and protected, it is great for off-road and rough terrain.

If you're having a picnic on the beach, bring bathing toys with you. By the way, air mattresses can replace seats if you spread your tablecloth on the sand.

Cool if you have a kite. You can also buy some sky lanterns and launch them after dark.

9. Consider serving

What will make your picnic truly cozy and festive? Original serving details. Use simple wooden boards for this: lay bread, meat and cheese cuts, cookies, fruits on them.

And, of course, we cannot do without a beautiful wicker basket, which is associated with a perfect picnic. You can not only put a lot of goodies in it, but also make it the center of the table. In addition, cute napkins and a pretty vase in which we will put fresh flowers will come in handy.

10. Collect bags

There are finishing touches left. The snacks are ready, the dishes are already in the car. What else to take?

  • Medicines. Collect a minimal first aid kit with painkillers, poisoning drugs and antiseptics.
  • Insect protection. Believe me, mosquitoes will also want to arrange a delicious dinner for themselves!
  • Water. Both drinking and technical.
  • Sunscreen. We don't want to spoil our skin under the sun, do we?
  • Wet wipes to dry your hands after greasy food.
  • Trash bags. After you, not a single jar or piece of paper should remain in nature!

What to take on a picnic, how not to forget anything, so that outdoor recreation leaves only pleasant impressions is described in this article. Summer is the time for vacations, trips out of town and picnics. Almost a tradition on weekends to spend time outdoors away from the bustle of the city.

To make outdoor recreation comfortable, it is worth making a list of necessary things and products for a picnic in advance. It is most correct to add items to the list together with all the participants in the outdoor party, so that no one needs anything.

Picnic Products

  1. Meat for barbecue. Pork or chicken will do. First, be sure to marinate the meat so that it is soft and juicy;

  1. Fruits, preferably citrus fruits;

  1. Smoked sausage, bacon, meatloaf - needed so that you can have a bite while the meat is being prepared;
  2. Salads to taste, but in summer they prefer light vegetable salads.

Things that will make outdoor recreation comfortable

  • Charcoal is an indispensable thing for cooking barbecue;
  • Barbecue and skewers;

  • Disposable tableware: plates, cups, forks and spoons. It’s not a pity for such dishes; they throw them away after a picnic;
  • Matches or lighter;
  • Napkins, toilet paper, old newspapers. With the help of old newspapers, you can arrange an impromptu table, use them to light a fire;
  • Clean water to wash hands before eating or after putting meat on skewers;
  • A flashlight so you don't end up in the dark in the evening;
  • Repellents, because outdoor recreation can turn out badly after a mosquito attack;
  • A warm blanket so that you can wrap yourself in it in the evening;
  • Garbage bags to leave nature in its original form.

In the heat for a picnic, the shore of a reservoir where you can swim is ideal. Therefore, a water mattress, a life buoy will not be superfluous. But it is worth thinking about the harsh effects of the scorching sun, to hide from it, if possible, with the help of a beach umbrella or awning. To avoid sunburn, it is best to bring sunscreen with you. For lovers of fishing, rest by the water can also be turned into a fishing competition, at the end of which they can cook fish soup together on a fire in a bowler hat.

In the evening, it is usually cool near the reservoir and there are a lot of mosquitoes, so you should take clothes with you that will not only warm, but also cover open areas of the body from insect bites.

In order not to be bored, you can come up with entertainment for a picnic:

  1. Beach volleyball is a simple solution, it does not require anything other than an ordinary ball;
  2. The game of "Crocodile" consists in guessing a word or phrase by the leader, which one person then shows with gestures and facial expressions in such a way that others can guess;
  3. Songs by the fire with a guitar;
  4. Playing cards;
  5. Tennis.

Picnic drinks

The type of drinks for outdoor recreation is determined by the company of people who have gathered for a country holiday. In the heat, it is advisable to make sure that the drinks are cool enough.

Non-alcoholic drinks for outdoor activities

  • Berry juice, it should not be too sweet to quench your thirst well in the heat;
  • Mineral sparkling water, but you should not drink too much of it, because it contains natural salts;
  • Freshly squeezed fresh juice, which can be prepared right at the picnic by directly squeezing the juice from the fruit;
  • Cold tea, preferably green, because it perfectly copes with thirst and tones;
  • Plain water is the ideal drink, but more often than not, people prefer sugary industrial drinks that offer no health benefits.

Alcohol on a picnic

To drink or not to drink is a personal matter for everyone, but still it is worth understanding that alcohol is absorbed faster in the heat and lasts longer than in cool weather. Therefore, it is better not to exceed the dose of 200 grams per person.

Alcoholic drinks need to be eaten properly to avoid a hangover or getting drunk too quickly and too much. Strong drinks such as vodka, cognac, whiskey go well with fish, fresh fruits and vegetables. There is an opinion that in order not to get drunk for a long time, you need to drink alcohol with juice or soda, but this is not so. An increase in the volume of liquid leads to an increase in the points of contact of the mixture of alcohol and another drink with the walls of the stomach, as a result of which intoxication occurs faster.

For low-alcohol drinks, such as table wine, champagne or beer, pork meat, red fish or vegetable salads are good as an appetizer.

The first spring days give all people a good mood. And how pleasant it is to breathe in a fresh breeze, when green leaves are just beginning to break through on trees and bushes. Such days are especially pleasant for a person living in the city and, as a rule, the first impressions of the beginning of the warm season are made up of memories of going out into nature.

Picnics are an integral part of the residents of megacities and other cities. On the first fine days, a string of cars tries to leave the city limits, and hikers go to parks and to the nearest bodies of water.

You should definitely go on a picnic with a cheerful company or with your family, because even in translation from English this word means “an entertaining country walk with a company.

However, often the wrong organization of this type of recreation can almost completely spoil the impression of a picnic. Let's prepare for the rest in advance and make the necessary list of products and things that you need to take with you.

What to eat for a picnic

Based on the number of people whose time is planned to be spent in nature, a list of products for a picnic and their number will be selected as a result.

The classic picnic food option is, of course, sandwiches. You will need a baguette, sausage (or other meat products), hard cheese. We advise you to cut all the components in advance and arrange them in a tight container or cover with cling film. Collecting sandwiches is best done on the spot, as the finished product may lose all aesthetics along the way.

Often a person goes to nature to cook a fragrant barbecue. If you also dream of fried pieces, do not forget to marinate the meat the night before the trip. Keep in mind that pork takes longer to cook than chicken, so the choice is yours. For chicken skewers, both legs and wings are perfect. And if you don’t feel like messing around with meat in nature, bake a whole chicken at home. Believe me, cold poultry is just as delicious on a picnic.

Vegetables and fruits must be present in your luggage. Cucumbers and tomatoes, usual for our climate, are suitable, from fruits you can take apples, bananas, kiwi, oranges. If you plan to make a fire, take raw potatoes at the rate of 2 pcs. per person. It can be baked right in uniforms in hot ashes. Do not forget a few onions for barbecue. Fresh herbs such as onion feathers, parsley, dill will decorate any ready-made dish.

Plan a simple fish dish. If there is fishing, just cook it in ash in foil. It is best to take fried fish in a container from home. Only cook from varieties where there are few bones or fillets. In nature, it is not the best thing to pick your mouth and food.

Put all pre-cooked meals in plastic containers - this is an additional protection.

Boil a few eggs, which will perfectly diversify the table. You can take canned food.

Don't forget sauces and spices. For meat we take ketchup, salads will require either vegetable oil or sour cream. In any case, do not forget about salt and sugar.

Separately, take care of food at a picnic for children. If you have small children, prepare bottles of formula in advance. For older children, take products that do not require special storage conditions. No cakes or pastries. Suitable cookies, waffles, fruits, juices.

It is important to provide the whole company with enough clean water, as well as other drinks: mineral water, juices, fruit drinks. If you are planning a campfire, bring a few tea and coffee bags. Love hot drinks, but there will be no fire - take a thermos with a drink.

For a romantic picnic, you can take a bottle of wine or champagne, for a fun party - beer. Strong drinks are not recommended, as various unplanned situations may occur in nature.

Things you need on vacation

First of all, you should take care of what you will carry all the products in. Hiking with packages does not look aesthetically pleasing at all, especially since it is difficult to preserve the appearance of the products in them. That is why preference is given to a hard basket. It is both beautiful and reliable. Next, we will take:

  1. For avid nature lovers, a cooler bag will become an indispensable thing. There are simple portable options where the ice is first frozen in the refrigerator. There are options for cars that run on battery power. Such a bag will significantly expand the list of products available for transfer.
  2. Take care in advance about what you will eat on. If the standard option is a bedspread, feel free to fold it on the road. If you have a set of furniture for nature - do not forget it. In any case, take an oilcloth, which can serve as both a table decoration and a salvation from dampness under a coverlet.
  3. Whether the rest will be calm or active depends only on you. If you have children, be sure to take the ball and badminton. For adults, a deck of cards, checkers and other board games are suitable.
  4. Pay attention to the weather - if rain is predicted, or vice versa bright sun - be sure to take an umbrella.
  5. Several trash bags.
  6. Even the best vacation can be spoiled by insects. Be sure to take anti-tick remedies from early spring. And even if you didn’t notice mosquitoes in the city - you will almost certainly meet them in nature - we throw insect spray into the bag. Add brilliant green, bandage, alcohol, plaster to the first aid kit, because it is very easy to get hurt in nature.
  7. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather. To avoid insect bites, try to cover the whole body, but be light and comfortable. If you plan to spend time late, bring jackets.
  8. For kebabs, do not forget the barbecue and skewers, ignition agent, coals, matches. For food, disposable plates, glasses, spoons, knives, cutting board. We take a roll of paper towels and a pack of wet wipes. Be sure to have one sharp knife, a bottle opener and a can opener.
  9. In the evening, we will follow up on a full charge for your gadgets, if you do not plan to completely fall into asceticism. Be sure to take care of the camera and extra batteries for it.
  10. In clear sunny weather, we take sunscreen, sunbathing swimwear.

At the end of the picnic, don't forget to clean up after yourself. We carefully extinguish the fire. We collect all used dishes, bottles, jars and napkins in garbage bags. Cleanliness after yourself will not make people who come here later remember you with a bad word.

What could be better than a picnic on a nice summer day? Only a picnic organized properly. An often forgotten little thing, like a knife for cutting food or salt, can spoil the impression of a meal in nature. If you are going out with a large company or with children, it is very important to think over the menu in advance so that everyone is full after outdoor activities. What to take children to nature from food, so that the picnic is a success, read in our article.

What is the best food for a picnic?

On a picnic, we take a break from city life and rejoice in communion with nature. Therefore, food should be as natural as possible with an abundance of greens and vegetables. Do not load your own, let alone children's stomach with heavy and fatty foods. Forget complex salads with mayonnaise, they are best left for winter feasts. If you still really want to, you can take the ingredients with you and cook the salad on the spot.

Fresh shish kebab or baked fish, fresh vegetables or grilled vegetables, fruits are the best choice for a country walk. As you know, appetite is played out in nature, so while hot food is being prepared, it is good to have a set of different goodies that both children and adults can indulge in between games.

For many, by the way, a picnic is associated not with barbecue, but with sandwiches. But as a main meal, they are only suitable for a short walk. If you are planning a trip for the whole day, sandwiches can be just a good snack.

It is better not to make them at home, otherwise the bread will crumble during transportation, and the butter and cheese will melt. Take all the ingredients with you (to save time, you can immediately buy them in the form of cuts) and in a couple of seconds the child himself will be able to build a fresh sandwich. In addition to cheese and sausage, various pastes, sprats, greens and vegetables, and even squash caviar fit perfectly into the sandwich theme. A hearty alternative to sandwiches is boiled eggs. It's so nice to peel an egg and crush it with bread and crispy cucumber!

If there are a lot of people in the company, or you just decided to save on barbecue, take ready-made chilled meat with you. For example, smoked chicken or fried chicken fillet, baked pork or beef. Another option is sausages or kupaty, which can be cooked in parallel with barbecue on skewers or a grill. So there will be variety on the table, and the main course will have less load. In addition, someone simply does not like barbecue in large quantities.

To set off the taste of freshly cooked meat or fish, it is good to serve them with a side dish. Less hassle when you take a ready-made side dish from home, such as boiled potatoes, canned peas, or corn. But it tastes much better when you cook it yourself in nature. Grilled vegetables (eggplants, sweet peppers, tomatoes) cook on a wire rack or skewers or in foil over charcoal. And, of course, the classic of camp life - baked potatoes in a fire! Without salt and spices, it miraculously acquires taste and aroma. And what fun it is for children to get a charred potato and find hot and tasty pulp inside.

Fresh vegetables and greens - eat them as much as possible! You can generally do without a side dish if there is a bowl of chopped tomatoes and cucumbers on the table. Dill bunches, green onion feathers, parsley sprigs - a vitamin wealth that must be on your picnic.

Do not forget about fruits, this is a favorite delicacy of children and adults in nature: apples and pears, peaches, bananas, in season - watermelons and melons. The main thing is that the fruits are well washed, and you know the reaction of your children to them. It is better not to experiment with exotic fruits away from home.

If there is not enough fruit for dessert, you can take cookies, gingerbread, waffles or pastries for a sweet tooth with you. It is better to give up sweets with fillings, especially those based on cream or cottage cheese. From the heat, it can leak, or, God forbid, deteriorate, which threatens with poisoning. Chocolate and sweets can also melt if there is no cooler bag, it is better not to take them with you.

What to take for a picnic for children?

If you are traveling with very young children, they will need to develop a special menu for their age. On the fire, you can cook porridge in a pot or use instant porridge and baby food.

All products must be transported in a separate bag. And those that require special storage conditions, in a thermal bag with a cold accumulator. You need to pack food in paper bags or foil, in polyethylene it can “suffocate”. Make sure you have enough drinking water.

So, let's summarize and make a rough list of products for a picnic with children.

  • Meat or fish for cooking on the fire
  • Ready chicken
  • Salt, spices, ketchup, mustard
  • Vegetables, greens
  • Fruits
  • Bread for sandwiches or pita bread
  • Unsweetened pies
  • Smoked sausage
  • hard cheese
  • Crackers, biscuits, crackers
  • Water and juices
  • Tea coffee
  • Waffles, sweet pastries

Have a nice holiday!
