The lack of vitamins and the sun with the approach of spring began to be felt more and more. And it so happened that we surrendered to a cold. In order not to leave the disease a single chance to continue the banquet, we decided to resort to a powerful vitamin bomb and remembered our trip to Istanbul and at the same time our favorite juice, which not only contains a huge amount of vitamin C and increases hemoglobin, but also quickly copes with pre-spring longing!
My trip to Istanbul was memorable not only because of the breathtaking city, sea and people, but also because of the smiling fresh juice sellers that stand on almost every corner in the central part of the city. Orange, pomegranate, grapefruit, carrot, kiwi, strawberry or mix - the choice was dizzying. Pomegranate has become a favorite, since pomegranates are sweet there, like honey.
Returning to Kiev, we first went in search of a citrus press. Although in fact it is most convenient to squeeze juice from pomegranates with this press. So a standard juicer turns a pomegranate into a brown mixture with a bitter aftertaste of seeds.
Such a simple Vitesse press (France) lives in our house. It cost a little less than $30. The choice of such pieces is simply huge, as is the price range - starting from a simple one for $30 and ending with $200-300. Our press is already two years old and it fully paid off its cost.
How it works? You simply cut oranges and pomegranates in half, put the pulp on the ledge of a special bowl and crush. Oranges and pomegranates should not be very large, otherwise it will be very difficult to press.
We first crush one half of the oranges, and then, when they are already half empty, we put one on top of the other and crush again - this way we get 1.5 times more juice. Although it is called a "citrus press", it actually solves the problem of squeezing the juice out of the pomegranate, plus it makes pretty good juices with pulp (strawberry), kiwi puree and even sometimes tomato juice with pulp from fresh tomatoes for spaghetti.
My favorite ratio is 4 small oranges and 1 pomegranate. It turns out very tasty and healthy! The main thing is to choose oranges that are sweet - they cover the acid of the pomegranate (if it is not very sweet).
Your health and do not get sick! Spring is coming;)
Instruction
Making orange juice in a regular juicer
Orange fresh juice is easy to prepare in. For its preparation, only one ingredient is required - fresh oranges. First of all, you need to thoroughly rinse each fruit. Take a well-sharpened knife and peel the citrus, then cut the fruit and remove the seeds from them. Put the orange slices in a regular juicer and, having previously selected the necessary settings, turn it on.
Orange juice in a special citrus juicer
Juicing in a dedicated citrus juicer is the easiest way. To do this, you need to rinse the oranges, divide each citrus along the pepper line into two halves, while the peel does not need to be removed. Remove the seeds from the orange halves, after which the slices should be placed on the rotating mechanism of the juicer with the pulp down, slightly pressing on the fruit from above.
Special juicers for citrus fruits are both electric and manual. However, the principle of obtaining juice in both juicers is the same, but it will only require more effort. You can also note that if you are using a manual type juicer, you can add pulp to the juice. To do this, take a small spoon and scrape out the pulp of an orange, then add it to the drink. Juice will be the most satisfying.
If you don't have an electric or manual juicer, orange juice can be made using a blender or food processor. Rinse and clean the fruits, chop them into small pieces 3 cm in size. If there are seeds, remove them. Put the pieces in the device and in the pulse mode grind to a medium level. Then you can turn on the constant mode and grind the fruits until they turn into gruel.
Cooking orange juice without the help of improvised means and kitchen appliances. Take a clean orange and mash it thoroughly in your hands, then cut it into two halves. First, squeeze the juice from one slice with your palms, then from the second. Thus, the juice is pure and without pulp.
After preparation, orange fresh should be drunk through a straw, as the risk of citrus juice getting on tooth enamel is reduced. So you can maintain a healthy smile and enjoy a pleasant taste.
note
It is better not to drink orange juice on an empty stomach, since such acidic drinks irritate the stomach lining. Doctors recommend diluting juice with water in a ratio of 1:1 and drinking it in the morning, then all the useful trace elements and vitamins contained in the drink will be better absorbed in the body.
Useful advice
Having bought any fruit in the store, it is necessary to cut off the skin from them, since the fruits are treated with chemicals to extend the shelf life. It is better to drink freshly squeezed juice immediately after preparation, since after 10-15 minutes the vitamins begin to break down when interacting with air.

Orange juice has also received recognition in cosmetology.:
First of all, it is worth remembering that an orange is a hyperallergenic product, so if a person has hypersensitivity or individual intolerance to this citrus fruit, then juice from it is categorically contraindicated.
The next point is that orange fresh contains a large amount of acid, so that with diagnosed diseases of the stomach, intestines and gallbladder (gastritis, peptic ulcer, colitis, cholecystitis), the drink in question is contraindicated for use even in a diluted form.
In addition to acids, orange juice contains sugars - this drink is highly undesirable for people with diagnosed diabetes. If you really want to, then before drinking, you should definitely consult with your doctor and find out the daily dose of the drink that is safe for health.

Due to the fact that healthy eating is gaining momentum, the demand for natural products is growing. People do not bypass freshly squeezed juices that saturate the body with vitamins. It’s hard not to mention orange fresh juice, you can buy it everywhere or cook it yourself. Squeezing juice from citruses is easy, so many are interested in the question of how useful or harmful a drink can be. Consider the main aspects in order.
Fresh juice contains a lot of useful enzymes. So, fresh squeezed orange juice includes vitamins of different groups (A, B, C, E, K). With their help, you can easily suppress vitamin deficiency during the period of colds and flu, as well as improve your health in the off-season.
Trace elements are responsible for the proper functioning of internal organs, digestibility of food, the functioning of the vascular system and the heart muscle. Among the most popular are fluorine, sulfur, phosphorus, iron, zinc and others.
Organic acids in combination with micro and macro elements contribute to the rapid absorption of protein and carbohydrates by the blood. Due to its low calorie content, freshly squeezed orange juice can be consumed while on a diet.
For 100 gr. the drink accounts for about 58 kcal. Fresh will be of particular benefit to people who want to get rid of the hated centimeters at the waist.
No matter how paradoxical it may sound, fresh squeezed orange juice is much more nutritious than the composition bought in the store. This aspect is caused by a large accumulation of sugar, trace elements and fibers in the homemade drink. For this reason, juice should be consumed in moderation.
Despite all the valuable qualities, orange fresh has some limitations in terms of consumption. In order not to harm the body, study the possible harm.
Fresh squeezed orange juice can cause allergies, so start taking small portions. Study the contraindications so as not to harm the body. Use fresh to increase vitality, cheer up, cleanse the respiratory tract, lose weight.
Among the many fruit drinks, orange juice rightfully occupies a crown place. Slightly sour, but refreshing taste contributes a lot to its popularity. What can we say about freshly squeezed orange juice! It contains the richest complex of vitamins, such as the extremely important A and C.
In slightly smaller proportions, it also contains fat-soluble vitamins E and K, and in addition, a whole list of water-soluble B1, B2 and other useful substances. Fresh saturates the body with calcium, iron, magnesium and other easily digestible amino acids. However, there is a significant difference between fresh and packaged orange juice.
To understand how healthy this drink is, you need to know its constituent parts. Note that for now we will talk about fresh juice and its derivatives, since the drink from the store is completely different from them in quality. Note that, in principle, any fresh juice gives the body a boost of energy and saturates with amino acids.
In addition, it is absorbed almost instantly, before reaching the stomach. Thus, the entire vitamin complex penetrates directly into the blood and quickly gives the body vigor. What is the secret?
First of all, the liquid fruit contains a high concentration of a fairly rare vitamin K. It is fat-soluble and extremely beneficial for body tone. Also, the rest of the complex of vitamins, such as B6 and B2, is essential for health, the human body does not produce them on its own.
Thus, the main source of these amino acids is food and oranges separately. However, you will not get the necessary portion of amino acids from one fruit, and 3-4 well-squeezed fruits will be required to make at least a small glass of fresh juice. But, it means that the influx of vitamins is significantly increased.
First of all, fresh from any fruit guarantees the absence of preservatives and contains only natural ingredients. Preservatives kill pectin, which is responsible for improving digestion, as well as cleansing the body.
A freshly squeezed drink well tones up the body suffering from a cold or general exhaustion, it is useful during the rehabilitation period, as well as for people with heart and vascular diseases. The benefits are obvious for those who have skin problems.
But it is important to know that the benefits of juice do not last long - no more than 3 hours. Therefore, if prepared, drink immediately. After the specified time has elapsed, the main complex of vitamins is neutralized.
The clear benefits of a fresh orange drink are widely applicable for medicinal purposes as well. So, it is recommended for use in case of problems with urination, kidneys. It is widely used among the people as an anticancer and hematopoietic substance. And the fat-dissolving amino acids of the drink are effective in losing weight and dieting - the calorie content of orange juice is only 60 kilocalories per liter. You can safely drink it! A good cooking recipe will also allow you to find the use of citrus pulp.
Like any other concentrate, such a drink can cause damage. First of all, this applies to those who have a chronic allergic reaction to citrus fruits. The benefits that a drink can bring are neutralized if it is consumed too often or in large doses. Allergies may occur, and in young children - diathesis.
When you don't know if you have an allergy and if this juice can be harmful, then do this: start with a small sip or a teaspoon of fresh juice. If during the day the body does not react with a rash or red spots on the skin, primarily on the face, then feel free to drink, and do not be afraid that it will do any harm.
More careful should be people with diseases of the intestines or stomach. For example, those who have high acidity, gastritis or ulcers. Only orange concentrate will do harm, but simply dilute it with water to reduce the negative impact.
The same applies to adding orange concentrate to baked goods or other treats: to prevent possible harm to people with gastrointestinal diseases, simply dilute the juice with mineral water.
Other recommendations for drinking this drink, so as not to harm the body, include the fact that you should not drink it on an empty stomach. In addition, the high concentration of amino acids in citrus juice can damage tooth enamel. So drink it through a straw.
So, having learned what benefits or harms orange juice brings and how to drink it so that there are no undesirable consequences, consider a recipe for how to prepare it. Due to the popularity of this drink, there are many ways to squeeze it yourself. It is more practical to cook it at home, since you can make many liters for the whole family.
