  1. Careful selection of raw materials. For compotes, you should use fresh, ripe, juicy fruits, without damage or signs of spoilage.
  2. Selecting container and lid. To ensure that the results of the work do not swell or explode, the jars must be intact, without chips or similar defects. The covers are new if they are sealed, thoroughly washed and without dents or cracks if they are threaded.
  3. Preparing jars. Since compote most often does not undergo the pasteurization process, the jars must be washed very carefully (it is better to use a new sponge, not the one used to wash dishes), and sterilized before adding the raw materials. In principle, pasteurization is possible, but it delays the canning process, because each jar will have to be boiled in a water bath for at least 30 minutes. An autoclave will help speed up this process: five to six cans can be placed in it.
  4. Filling the jar. In order to leave no chance for pathogenic bacteria to develop, they must be left without food. That is, without air. To do this, the jar of compote needs to be filled to capacity.
  5. Cooling down. At home, jars of compote should be left to cool slowly so that the liquid inside does not ferment. The optimal cooling time for a three-liter jar of compote, wrapped in a blanket, is one or two days.

When washing cans, you should not use chemical detergents; baking soda and dry mustard can remove any stains.

Homemade Fanta (orange+apricot)

Bright sunny compotes go great in winter. This recipe will especially appeal to mothers who strive to give their child only tasty and healthy drinks. The three-liter natural Fanta will appeal to both children and teenagers. In addition, it is much cheaper than store-bought chemical fizzy drink with an unclear composition.

For preparation you need:

  • apricots, their quantity depends on the size;
  • orange - half (about six slices);
  • sugar – 170 g;
  • lemon acid.

Preparing Fanta is simple:

  1. Wash the apricots and remove the pits. Peel the oranges - the skins will give off bitterness in the compote, although if you scald them first, you don’t have to peel them.
  2. Place fruit in the bottom of the prepared jar. To obtain an intense taste, fill the jar 1/3 full.
  3. Fill the jar with boiling water and let it brew for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Drain the resulting liquid and boil again. Repeat this procedure again.
  5. Draining the third time is the final time; when the compote is almost boiling, you need to add sugar.
  6. Fill the jar, roll it up, wrap it in a blanket.

Fanta with honey

A recipe that combines an exotic fruit and a sweet delicacy will be an unusual solution for winter preparation.

You will need to prepare two jars with a volume of three liters:

  • oranges, always juicy and ripe – 2 kg;
  • clean water - 4.5 liters;
  • sugar – 1 kg;
  • honey - glass.

Cooking steps:

  1. Place the jars for sterilization.
  2. While the containers are being prepared, prepare the main ingredient. Peel the peel with a special knife for citrus fruits, set aside, remove all white skin and veins: they give bitterness to the finished drink. Cut into pieces, their size does not matter.
  3. Place the cut pieces into the prepared jar, dividing equally.
  4. Boil syrup from water and sugar, stir constantly, and after bringing to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the zest to the syrup and boil for another 15 minutes. The fire is medium. The task of this stage is to “take away” all the flavor from the zest.
  6. Strain the syrup through a sieve and pour the resulting liquid into jars.
  7. Let stand for 20 minutes, drain.
  8. Boil the syrup for 10 minutes, then add honey and heat for another 5 minutes.
  9. Pour into jars and roll up.

Serve cold.

Simple orange compote recipe

You can prepare a citrus drink for future use in a simpler way.

For this you will need:

  • 2 large oranges;
  • liter of water;
  • 300 g sugar.

Preparation:

  1. Preparation of raw materials is similar to the previous recipe.
  2. Place the resulting pieces into a jar.
  3. Boil syrup from water, sugar and peel. Duration: ten minutes after boiling.
  4. Pour boiling syrup over the slices, after straining it from the zest.
  5. Pasteurize in a water bath for 15 minutes, then roll up.

The amount of sugar can be increased if the oranges are sour.

Compote juice from tangerines

To prepare you need:

  • tangerines – 1.5-3 kg;
  • sugar – 600 g;
  • water – 600 ml.

Preparation:

  1. Peel tangerines, remove white veins, seeds, squeeze out juice.
  2. Pour the juice into an enamel container and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  3. At this time, cook syrup from water and sugar; it must be boiled to a volume of 400-500 ml.
  4. Add syrup to juice and mix well.
  5. Pour into jars and pasteurize them for 15-20 minutes.

Pumpkin-orange compote

The combination of a healthy orange and an equally healthy pumpkin is not yet very popular, especially in winter compotes. And the healing power of these components, fused together, can work wonders, and it’s also very tasty.

Components:

  • oranges – 3 medium-sized pieces;
  • peeled pumpkin – 400 g;
  • sugar – 170-200 g;
  • water – 2 liters.

For compote, you should take table pumpkin: it is sweet and has a bright color of pulp.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the pumpkin from seeds, peel, fibers and cut into small pieces.
  2. Pour sugar into the water and let it boil, add pumpkin. Boil for 15 minutes.
  3. While cooking the pumpkin, prepare the oranges. Peel two oranges and cut into pieces. Remove the zest from the third one and squeeze the juice out of it. Grind the rest of the zest with sugar (30-50 g).
  4. Add orange slices to the pumpkin. Boil for five minutes.
  5. Add juice and zest, simmer for a couple more minutes.
  6. Pour the resulting compote into prepared hot jars and roll up.

Delicious orange compotes can be prepared all year round. What is very important is that such drinks are stored for a long time due to the acid in the orange. Bright and no less tasty substitutes for chemical “fanta” will appeal to both adults and children.

If you think that it is impossible to surprise you with compote, then you are mistaken! I have a pleasant surprise for you: winter apricot compote with orange, which in taste will remind you of the popular Fanta. But, of course, this will be much healthier than the famous drink.

Ingredients for 1 liter jar:

  • 250 g apricots;
  • 1 orange ring 0.6 - 1 cm thick;
  • 130 g sugar;
  • 750 ml water.

How to preserve apricot compote with Fanta orange for the winter:

For compotes, we choose beautiful apricots - after all, in jars they will be very visible and they need to look appetizing. I try to use slightly unripe or ripe but very firm apricots for this kind of preservation. If the apricots are still green, they will “cook” while cooking the compote; dense, ripe apricots will remain intact. But overripe fruits will be boiled, and the compote will have an unsightly appearance. Wash the apricots and place them in a colander to drain.

Wash the orange thoroughly and cut it into rings 0.6 - 1 cm thick. Cut each ring into 4 parts.

The next step is preparing the jars. We definitely sterilize them so that the compote does not spoil. You can sterilize jars in the oven and over steam. And immediately put apricots and orange slices into sterilized jars, while they are hot.

Now let's prepare the syrup. Pour sugar into boiling water and stir without removing from heat. We wait for the water to boil again and the sugar to completely dissolve. Let the syrup stand for another 2-3 minutes on low heat and pour it into the jars of apricots and oranges.

Now we need to sterilize the compote in jars. At the same time, we only cover the compote with lids, and do not close or twist them tightly. Place the jars in a large saucepan and pour warm water into it - enough so that it reaches the hangers of the jars. I almost forgot - first place a flat plate on the bottom of the pan or place a small towel so that the jars do not come into direct contact with the bottom. Otherwise, they may burst during the sterilization process. Place the pan on the fire and bring to a boil over high heat. Then reduce the heat slightly and sterilize for 20 minutes.

Now the jars can be safely rolled up or screwed on with lids. Apricot compote for the winter with orange! Now in winter you can pamper your loved ones with a very tasty drink - even better than the famous Fanta.

Rinse firm, ripe apricots (250 g) and allow excess water to drain.

Apricots should be firm, but not green, otherwise the apricot and orange compote will taste bitter.

Wash the orange and cut into rings, each divided into 4 parts. Place 2-3 rings on one liter jar.

Sterilize jars. Without waiting for them to cool, place the fruits in containers.

Prepare sugar syrup:

  • pour 750 g of water into the pan;
  • bring to a boil and add 130 g of sugar;
  • Boil for 2 minutes until completely dissolved.

Pour boiling syrup over the fruit, cover with a lid and sterilize for 20 minutes. Roll up.

  • 500 g;

While the water is heating, remove the seeds from the washed apricots, dividing them into two parts.

Pour boiling water over orange and lemon and cut. Set aside half the lemon - it can be used for the next jar.
