How to make delicious meatballs with rice and gravy

So, first of all we need to boil the rice. To do this, fill it in a saucepan with clean water in a ratio of 1:2, add salt and place on medium heat. Once the water boils, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the rice is tender, about 15-18 minutes.

Meanwhile, start preparing the gravy. In a frying pan, heat half the amount of vegetable oil according to the recipe and fry 0.5 diced onions until transparent. Cut the carrots into thin slices or chop on a coarse grater, add to the onion and fry together until the carrots are soft.

Then add tomato paste and wheat flour, mix very well so that the flour does not form lumps, and fry with the vegetables for 2 minutes.

Pour 100 ml of hot water into the pan and add sour cream, stir. Simmer the contents for 5 minutes. Finally, add sugar, salt and black pepper to taste.

  • Salt and pepper the products.

  1. Peel the onion and wash it along with the meat.

  3. Now you need to cook the rice - cook it until cooked or half cooked.

  8. Our meatballs should already be fried, so add tomato sauce to the frying pan, then cover the dish with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
  9. Dissolve 1 tbsp flour in 0.5 glass of water. l. and sour cream 1 tbsp. l. Mix well, and there should be no lumps left.
  10. Open the pan and pour the flour mixture into it. Add laurel and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

In our preparation of royal meatballs, we will start by chopping the garlic and onion. Soak the loaf in milk or water; when it becomes completely soft, squeeze it out and mix with onion and garlic. Add mustard, cottage cheese, egg to the prepared mixture, pour in milk and add pre-chopped greens. Mix everything, add spices and salt to your taste - stir one last time. From the resulting minced meat we make small balls, which we roll in flour. Now you need to fry the meatballs until golden brown on all sides.

Let's start preparing the sauce. Finely chop all the vegetables and pour them into a frying pan with hot oil. First fry the carrots and onions, then add the tomatoes and peppers, fry for a few minutes. Add tomato paste, salt and sugar to the pan and simmer for 5 minutes. We dilute the starch with 50 ml of water and, together with the broth prepared in advance, pour it into the vegetables in the frying pan. Also add chopped garlic and herbs. Cover the gravy with a lid, then simmer it for 10 minutes over low heat. The final stage is to immerse the meatballs in the gravy and simmer them for no more than 15 minutes.
