Chicken stew with prunes

To cook chicken stew with prunes, we need:

  • 700 grams of chicken fillet, I had a chicken thigh fillet,
  • 300 grams of pitted prunes,
  • 2-3 heads of onions,
  • salt,
  • pepper.

Wash the chicken fillet and cut into small pieces.

Wash the prunes very well.

Peel and chop the onion. We cut it arbitrarily, it will not affect the result in any way. I cut into quarter and half rings.

Place the chicken fillet, prunes and onions in a large bowl. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well the meat with berries and onions. We will try to crush the prunes with our hands.


Put the chicken in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes.

Over time, pour a little vegetable oil on the bottom of the pan, put the chicken and prune mixture and simmer the meat over medium or slightly lower heat for 50-60 minutes. Stir the contents of the pan periodically.
