Shortcrust pastry pie with jam is distinguished by its exquisite taste. A shortbread base for pies is prepared quickly, does not require a large number of ingredients and allows you to bake dishes with various fillings.

The classic recipe for shortcrust pastry with jam

To prepare high-quality pastries based on shortcrust pastry, you need to choose the right base products and follow certain rules.   • Sour cream with a fat content of 15 to 20%.

  • Wheat flour of the highest or first grade.
  • Table salt.

Baking algorithm

When concocting shortbread dough, it is important to adhere to a certain sequence of actions:

  1. Mixing flour and butter mass (you can take both butter and margarine).
  2. Cooling the oil mixture.
  3. Add granulated sugar to the chilled butter base, beat the mixture.
  4. Formation of the finished mass (adding pre-beaten chicken eggs, vanillin, flour, sour cream, lemon juice, table salt and baking powder), stirring the mixture until elastic.
  5. Putting the finished dough in the refrigerator for a period of 0.5 to 1 hour (previously, the dishes with the dough must be wrapped with cling film).

Only after all the above manipulations can you start forming the cake. To do this, put the dough in a special container with sides, fill it with filling if necessary.
