  1. Again, as in previous recipes, we boil the vegetable, but now we completely drain the water and make a real puree - with a blender or masher.
  2. Add egg and powdered sugar to it and mix well.
  3. Pour semolina into the pumpkin-egg mixture in small portions and stir again so that there are no lumps. Add raisins or dried apricots.
  4. You can cook the casserole in the oven or in a double boiler:
  • In the first case, cover the baking container with paper or grease it with vegetable oil. It's also good to use small muffin tins. Divide the mixture into molds and bake for 25 – 40 minutes at 180 °C. Remember, the smaller your ramekins, the shorter the baking time!
  • If you cook in a steamer, you will need 40 – 45 minutes.

Serve with ice cream, a milkshake, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. This pumpkin dish will add pleasant variety to both the children's menu and the adult menu.

Pumpkin cutlets

It is not at all necessary to prepare only sweet desserts from a bright vegetable. As we remember, it may well be a component of a “serious” dish that can be given to children from one year old.

Ingredients

  • Peeled pumpkin (large pieces!) – 500 g
  • Chicken egg – 1 pc.
  • Cream 10% – 50 g
  • Semolina – 1 tbsp. l
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Breadcrumbs – 2 tbsp


Preparation

  1. Three pieces of pumpkin on a grater, squeeze out the juice.
  2. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes, adding juice and cream.
  3. Place the grated vegetable in a deep plate, mix in the egg and semolina. Salt.
  4. Form cutlets, dip in breadcrumbs and steam.

Serve immediately hot.

Pumpkin figures with cheese

This fun dish is a real treat! It will decorate the holiday table or simply cheer you and your child up with its mischievous look. You can even cook it together!

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin – 300 – 400 g
  • Hard cheese – 50 – 70 g
  • Salt – ½ tsp
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Refined vegetable oil – 1 tsp
  • Shortbread cookie cutters

Preparation

  1. We cut the peeled vegetable into thin slices - no more than 0.5 cm and, using cookie cutters, cut out stars, months, circles, hearts, etc. Salt.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and, after dipping the pumpkin figures in flour, lay them out to fry. This should be done for no more than 3 minutes, over low heat, as they are very thin.
  3. Meanwhile, three cheese and, transferring the figures fried on both sides to a dish, sprinkle on top while they are hot, so that the cheese melts.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with a mint leaf or sprinkled with herbs.
