If you have your own puff pastry recipes, then welcome to the comments. Let's share culinary secrets with each other!

The puff pastry roll with minced meat looks incredibly appetizing, and the aroma is beyond words! It is not at all difficult to prepare such a roll, because the recipe uses ready-made puff pastry, which is ideal even for those who like baked goods. Moreover, you can take both yeast puff pastry and yeast-free, as such you will not feel the difference in taste, in both cases the roll is prepared in the same way. The only thing - with yeast puff pastry, the outer layer of the roll will be more airy.

Ingredients

  • 500 g pork (can be substituted for beef)
  • packaging of ready-made puff yeast-free dough (500 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • some flour
  • salt, pepper, sunflower oil

How to make minced puff pastry roll

Grind the meat into minced meat along with the onion, peeled and cut into several parts. Salt and pepper it well, mix it with your hands. You will need about a teaspoon of salt and a quarter of a teaspoon of pepper.

Then we turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees. At the right time, it will just reach the required temperature.

Fry the minced meat until half cooked in a skillet, adding a couple of tablespoons of sunflower oil.

Pre-defrost the finished puff pastry. There were four layers in my pack of dough, which I have to combine into one rectangular layer.

Sprinkle the work surface with a small layer of flour and lay out the layers of dough so that each subsequent layer slightly covers the previous one. Then we will go over the dough with a rolling pin and fasten it.

Roll out the dough to the size we need, I got about 30 cm by 40 cm.

Then put our filling on top of the dough and evenly distribute it, not reaching the edges by 3-4 cm. Lightly grease the minced meat layer with sour cream, this will make the filling more tender and juicy.

We form a roll. Bend the long edges of the dough inward and twist the roll (the seam will be at the bottom).

Then we beat one egg and grease the entire surface of the future roll with it.

We transfer the roll to a baking sheet and send it to the oven (remember, we have already warmed it up to 180 degrees). We bake a puff roll with minced meat for 50 minutes, then remove from the oven, cut into portions and serve with vegetable salad and various sauces.

We regularly prepare some delicious pastries for the arrival of guests or for the home table, and often rolls turn out to be these pastries. Of course, you can bake with one filling, but you want, as they say, to surprise people and show yourself. Again, there are situations when some of the guests or household members do not eat any filling. In this recipe, I will show you how to make four rolls with different fillings from one package of puff yeast-free dough.

Ingredients:

  • Yeast-free puff pastry - 500 gr.
  • Soft cheese - 100 gr.
  • Jams or jam - three different, 100 grams each (I have strawberry and sea buckthorn jams and apple jam)
  • Chicken egg - 1 piece
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon

The dough in the package consists of two plates. Separate half of one plate and roll out this quarter to a thickness of about two millimeters

Put a layer of cheese on the dough. You can take any soft cheese

We roll up the roll and flatten it a little so that from the end it looks like a rectangle - this will ensure good baking of the roll

Repeat this procedure with the second quarter of the dough and strawberry jam.

Then with apple jam

And finally, with sea buckthorn jam

Cover the baking sheet with foil, grease it with vegetable oil. We spread our four rolls on a baking sheet, grease them with a scrambled egg and send them to the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Hello everyone!

Do you like fairy tales? I love it very much and even now sometimes reread it. Basically, these are the tales of Scandinavian writers, for example, Astrid Lindgren or Tove Jansson. The first is known for its Karlson, and the second is the mother of the Moomin trolls. Do you know what else I love about fairy tales, besides incredible adventures? Description of food! Festive tables heaped with all sorts of things and just ordinary sandwiches, which are delicious to read about. Well, for example:

- Close your eyes while I play the self-assembled tablecloth.

Tommy and Annika closed their eyes. They heard Peppy open the lid of the basket and rustle the paper.

- One, two, three - look! - shouted Peppy.

Tommy and Annika opened their eyes and screamed with delight when they saw all the supplies that Pippi had laid out on the stone. Two huge sandwiches, one with meatballs and one with ham, a whole mountain of sugar dusted, a few slices of smoked sausage and three small pineapple puddings. After all, Peppy learned to cook from the cook on the ship.

Perhaps my passion for it barely originated precisely thanks to the correct books I read as a child.

What comes to your mind as an association with the word "fairy tales"?

Maybe Russian folk tales? (I had such a book as a child). If so, then this has the most direct relation to today's recipe. Because for him I used puff pastry "Morozko", remember this tale?

Today I will tell you how to make a puff pastry roll stuffed with mashed potatoes - a delicious, beautiful and satisfying dish, suitable both for a regular meal and for a festive table.

For a delicious roll with potato filling, we need:

  • 1 briquette of puff pastry (1000 gr)
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable or butter
  • half a bunch of dill
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • some flour for rolling out the dough
  • 1 egg for brushing
  • sesame or black cumin seeds for sprinkling
The puff pastry must first be removed from the freezer and thawed. While it is thawing, prepare the mashed potatoes for the filling.

To do this, finely chop the onion and fry in oil. The potatoes need to be peeled, cut into small cubes and boiled in salted water. When the potatoes are cooked, mash them, add fried onions, finely chopped dill, salt and pepper to taste.

Well, we have the filling ready, now let's proceed to the puff pastry, which by this moment (and it will take about an hour) has already defrosted.

Sprinkle flour on the surface of the table or rolling board and begin to roll out the dough layer, constantly turning it in different directions, until it becomes twice as large. In this case, the thickness is not more than two millimeters.

We start making rolls. To do this, lay out the filling on a rolled out layer of puff pastry, about 1 centimeter thick and roll it into a roll, carefully pinching the edges and ends. In total, you will have four large puff pastry rolls with a potato filling.

We spread them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, prick with a fork in several places - so that the rolls do not crack during baking.

Lubricate our stuffed rolls with an egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or black cumin (I used both). We bake for about half an hour at a temperature of 180-200 degrees.
