As you know, casseroles are prepared from products that resemble mashed potatoes in consistency and a binding component (for example, cottage cheese - an egg), baked in the oven, in a frying pan or in a slow cooker. Usually the casserole is greased on top with a mixture of butter and beaten egg, in which case a tasty and beautiful crust is formed. There are different types of casseroles: cottage cheese, potato, cabbage, cheese. Some popular European dishes, for example, cheesecake, lasagna or pudding, are related to the recipe for the casserole we are used to.

Cottage cheese casserole - a kind of culinary “time machine”: it works wonders and literally transports the one who eats it back to childhood, to school after-school activities, to the kindergarten cafeteria. Probably, partly this dish is an insidious idea of adults who want to force children to eat such unloved, but healthy and calcium-rich cottage cheese, which, however, worked with a bang, because the kids always ate casseroles with pleasure. Tender, golden brown, with an appetizing crust, melting in your mouth curd casserole is an excellent option for breakfast, afternoon snack, and in addition, it goes well with tea and coffee.
True skill when preparing a cottage cheese casserole is to ensure that it turns out to be moderately airy, elastic and soft in texture, and at the same time not rubbery or bland. The basis of any cottage cheese casserole, of course, is cottage cheese, which must be of medium, or preferably high, fat content so that the dish does not turn out dry. Rubbing the cottage cheese with a fork, without using a mixer, will make the curd taste more pronounced. The delicate, uniform structure of the casserole is achieved by rubbing the cottage cheese through a very fine sieve.

But less words - more action! We present to our readers a selection of cottage cheese casserole recipes with photos that tell and clearly show how to prepare a delicious, aromatic, melt-in-your-mouth casserole.
