Prunes stuffed with walnuts in sour cream  - A traditional classic dessert, known to many since Soviet times. A New Year or wedding table could not do without it. The simplicity of preparation and the exquisite taste of this dessert keeps it in a place of honor among popular desserts to this day. For dessert, choose large prunes and a sufficiently elastic pulp consistency.

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • Sour cream - 400 gr.,
  • Prunes - 400 gr.,
  • Walnuts - 100 gr.,
  • Vanillin - 1 sachet,
  • Sugar - 2-3 tbsp. spoons
  • Thickener for sour cream - 1 pack,
  • Milk or dark chocolate for sprinkling - 10 gr.,

Walnut-stuffed prunes - recipe

Rinse prunes with running water. Fold in a bowl and fill with hot water to infuse for 10-15 minutes. It is much easier to get a bone from a hot and swollen prune. After that, carefully remove the bone, if any. If you want to cook prunes for adults, then instead of water, boil it in red wine for 7-10 minutes. Of course, you can’t give such a dessert to children, but for an adult company it will be a pleasant surprise. Put on a plate shot with napkins and cool.

Prick the nuts. Dry the nuts in the oven until golden brown, turning them over with a spatula on all sides. Insert half the walnut kernel into the prune hole. Connect the edges of the plum with your fingers. So stuff all the plums.

Now you can do sour cream filling. Sour cream sauce can be prepared in many ways. For example, you can mix in equal proportions raw condensed milk and sour cream and pour them dessert. We will make a traditional sour cream, which is suitable for. Use sour cream for dessert, fat content from 20%. So, put the sour cream in a bowl. Pour sugar into it.

Beat with a mixer. Add a thickener for sour cream and vanilla.

With the help of these ingredients, sour cream sauce will acquire an airier and denser structure and a subtle vanilla flavor. Beat sour cream with a mixer for 2-3 minutes. The finished cream turned out to be thick, exactly the way I wanted.

Put the stuffed prunes in a bowl or bowl in two, three rows. If you want, you can lay it on a large flat dish. Top with sour cream.

The combination of “prunes and walnuts” is quite common in recipes. From cakes to game, these two components work great together. They complement each other so well that prunes with walnuts can also be used as an independent dish - a light natural dessert or a savory snack. Simple, fast, impossible, delicious and very healthy.

Prunes stuffed with walnuts and garlic

Stuffed prunes and guests from Italy

I’ll tell you about one more treat that I was preparing for my husband’s anniversary. This is stuffed prune. I do it for all holidays, everyone really likes it. Maybe you will like it. So, for this we need prune itself. Pitted

Walnuts

And mayonnaise

We start by soaking the prunes in the water. Not for long. I check it from time to time. If the berries are already soft, then the water can be drained. Rinse prunes properly under water. Then prepare the filling

In my kitchen there is such an "ancient" cabin. These are Alik’s parents bought in the GDR when they served there.

On the box, chocolate and nuts - that is, what this chopping is used for, but I ground the garlic in it

Tied her to the table

Laid nuts

And grind them and garlic. Garlic perfectly grind. In principle, all this can easily be done on a regular grater

Add mayonnaise to the chopped nut and garlic

Slightly salted and mixed the whole mass

Don't be scared of my dirty hands - working moments!

In each prune I put the cooked mass. If necessary, make a larger cut with a knife.

And spread the stuffed prunes in small pots in small salad bowls. Believe me, this is very tasty! It turns out a spicy snack with an interesting combination of prunes, nuts and garlic!

I want to tell you something else interesting. Our friends, Helen and Yuri, flew in from Italy just before Alik’s anniversary. The guys, as always, brought us presents from there.

Here is such a lemon. Yes, not easy! It is called - Zedroni. This is a variety that is grown specifically for zest. When the fruits are tied in a tree, they are already counted and distributed in advance by Zedroni to all family members. And families in Italy are usually large. That is, so much to mom and dad, so much to the family of the son, so much to one sister, so much to the other ... But, our Yurik decided that Zedroni would be enough for them and, literally, under the cover of secrecy, he plucked us these marvelous fruits! In short, the whole detective story turned out!

I washed it, doused it with boiling water

Grated on a fine grater. Indeed, a lot of zest turned out, and the pulp itself is small, but with a very rich lemon flavor!

I put it in a bag and in the freezer. Now I will use the zest of Zedroni for cooking various dishes, in sauces and pastries!

I almost forgot about a completely "crazy" seasoning! No wonder it says "Calabrez Bomb"! This is really a bomb! So sharp, you need to take a drop-drop, otherwise there will be an explosion ... in your mouth! Also, guys from Italy brought.

More friends brought a very beautiful jumpsuit for our Nicoletta, a delicious sweet Italian bow, and such a plate in my collection. plates!

And finally, my manicure!

Stuffed prunes are a very interesting dish that can surprise even true gourmets. It has a spicy taste and a pleasant delicate aroma. And thanks to its unusual appearance, it can become a worthy decoration of any dinner party. In today's article you will find some interesting recipes for cooking such treats.

For stuffing, it is advisable to use large prunes, from which the seed has been removed in advance. Before starting dried fruits, they are briefly soaked in water. This is necessary so that they soften and increase in size.

The product prepared in this way is squeezed, slightly dried and filled with the selected filling. Despite all the variety of options, prunes stuffed with mushrooms, nuts or cottage cheese are especially popular among lovers of such dishes. Often, garlic, cheese, herbs and boiled eggs are added to the filling.

As for the stuffing process itself, there are several ways. This can be done through a slightly stretched hole through which the bone was removed. Some cooks make small cuts around this hole and completely fill the prunes with filling. In this case, the finished dried fruit looks like small barrels.

There is another way of stuffing, in which the fruit is cut in half, but not to the very end, but spread the filling inside. Prunes made by this method are very similar to the slightly opened mussel shells.
