Description

Peanut paste Is a very tasty and healthy delicacy. The benefits of peanut butter can be talked about for a long time. The composition of peanuts contains many proteins and B vitamins, which have a beneficial effect on the human brain and promote the renewal and growth of new cells. Antioxidants, which are also present in peanut butter, protect the body from free radical damage. This is not only a tasty treat, but also an excellent remedy for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

The huge amount of protein in peanuts can be a complete substitute for meat, so peanut butter is a godsend for vegetarians.

Peanut butter is best consumed in the morning for breakfast. Due to the fact that it is very high in calories and nutritious, the daily rate of pasta is about 2-3 tablespoons. It can be spread on toast, biscuits or fruit, it is added to cottage cheese, baked goods and various cocktails. Many can eat it with spoons, but you should not succumb to such a temptation: you need to use it in moderation.

It has a unique smell of roasted peanuts, has a pleasant creamy texture. The color can be either light brown or dark caramel, it all depends on the degree of roasting and the method of preparation. But making peanut butter with your own hands at home is very simple. Our step-by-step photo recipe will be an indispensable assistant in creating this healthy and tasty treat.

Ingredients

Cooking steps

    Purchase raw peanuts that are free of salt and other impurities. Rinse the nuts well and pat dry with a towel. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the peanuts on a dry baking sheet and send to the oven for 10 minutes.

    After the peanuts are well browned, cool them completely. Now it needs to be crushed. To do this, you can use a blender, coffee grinder, or a regular meat grinder.

    If you are grinding peanuts in a blender, stop after a few minutes and scrape the resulting dense mass from the sides. After that, continue to beat the peanuts until they are pasty.

    Now take a short pause and add a little salt, a tablespoon of honey and the same amount of vegetable oil (peanut, sunflower, olive) or softened butter to the blender bowl. If the peanut butter is very thick, you can add a little water and continue beating. Add water to the paste until it reaches the desired consistency.

    If you like a pasta with small pieces of nuts, you can set aside a few tablespoons of peanut crumbs at the beginning of chopping, and then return it back to the blender. Beat the paste for one minute.

    If you like experimenting, you can add some nutmeg, cocoa powder, or cinnamon to the peanut butter. Use chopped dates or cashew nuts instead of honey. If you are slim and cannot refuse this delicacy, replace the butter with water: this will not affect the taste of peanut butter, but it will become less nutritious. Homemade peanut butter is great when paired with apples and other fruits.

    Bon Appetit!

What is peanut butter? In most cases, we can say with confidence that this is a product that undergoes minimal heat treatment. The base of peanut butter is peanuts, lightly toasted and ground to a paste. However, this cannot be said about many peanut butter produced by various brands. Such pastes often contain various additives and are not always the most useful. That's why the best option is your own homemade peanut butter!

How to make homemade PP peanut butter

The advantage of this dish is that all the ingredients you need are available all year round and you won't have any difficulty finding them. You will need:

  • 500 grams of raw peanuts. You can use either unpeeled or peeled peanuts.
  • Any vegetable oil. Peanut vegetable oil is preferred, but olive oil can also be substituted. You only need 1 tablespoon.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon of natural honey.

First you need to dry the peanuts. You can also make peanut pn paste from raw peanuts, but if you dry it a little, then your paste will acquire a more pronounced taste and aroma. The oven should be preheated to 180 degrees. Put peanuts on a baking sheet and dry for 10 minutes. After this, it is imperative to let the peanuts cool completely. Remove the husk from the cooled peanuts, if necessary.

In order for our peanuts to take a pasty form, we need a blender. Make sure your blender can handle the task before making peanut butter. It is best to use a stationary blender that is designed to grind nuts. We immerse the nuts in the bowl and begin to beat. The whipping process will take you a lot of time, because in order to get the desired consistency, you will have to grind the nuts almost to a liquid state.

If the paste is too dry, you can add vegetable oil. All additives and ingredients should be added while the paste is in the blender so that they are properly mixed. If you don't like honey, you can make peanut butter with stevia or agave syrup.

As for the consistency of peanut butter, it's up to you to decide. For lovers of a homogeneous paste, beat all the nuts at once until they become a homogeneous mass. Do you like crunchy peanut pieces? Then set aside some of the peanuts and crush them into crumbs, then add to the peanut butter.

This recipe contains only natural ingredients. Never made it at home? Here's a simple guide!

Hazardous Ingredients in Purchased Peanut Butter

You will not believe how many unpleasant "surprises" a store product can contain. This is the main reason to stop buying it. When making at home, you will know exactly the list of components. This ensures that you get a high-quality and healthy product, without doubtful impurities. Below are the ingredients in store-bought paste that can be unhealthy.

Hazardous Ingredients in Purchased Peanut Butter:

  1. Corn syrup. Clogs arteries, promotes fatty deposits in the liver. Accelerates aging, weakens the immune system. May cause type II diabetes and childhood hyperactivity.
  2. Hydrogenated vegetable oils. They are not found in nature. Cause serious degenerative diseases, autism, type II diabetes and cancer.
  3. Preservatives. Benzoates, nitrites, sulfites are just a few of the preservatives used in the food industry. Allegedly harmless, they cause migraines, weakness, hyperactivity, and asthma.

Peanut Butter - The Classic Recipe

This is a standard recipe for making a treat that you can customize to your liking.

Here's what you need:
Ingredients:

  • peanuts (peeled) - 2 cups;
  • coconut or any other vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons;
  • natural sweetener (honey, maple syrup, organic palm sugar, etc.) - to taste.

Tools:

  • roasting oven;
  • food processor or blender;
  • bowls and plates.

Note: Raw, shelled peanuts will be used for this recipe. But it still needs to be fried in the oven. If you don't have an oven, get fried unsalted nuts and work with them.

Step 1. Roast the peanuts
Initially, you need to roast the peanuts to the desired degree. Ignore this step if you are using a roasted one.
Preheat oven to 175 ° C. Place the nuts on a baking sheet and place them in the oven to dry for 3 minutes. Shake the baking sheet. Then fry for another 3-5 minutes, or until the food is browned and the nutty flavor "goes". Be careful not to burn the nuts (be careful, they burn very quickly).
Leave them to cool down for a while, then continue working.

Step 2. Peel off
Now you need to remove the husk. Some of it was removed during frying, but most of it remained in place.
Just take nuts and rub them between your palms. This will remove all of the husk, or at least most of it.

Step 3. Grind in a blender
Now the fun begins! Pour the completely peeled peanuts into a food processor or blender. Close the lid tightly and turn on low speed.

After about 30 seconds, the product will become sandy and mealy.

Continue grinding and it will slowly begin to take on an oily consistency.

Use a spatula or spoon to clean the bottom and sides of the bowl.

A few more minutes and the mass will look as shown in the photo below.

  • For crispy peanut butter, leave a handful or two chopped toasted nuts and add them at the very end along with your desired sweetener.
  • Do not add water to the mass! We tell you this because we introduced it ourselves by mistake. This oily substance does not dissolve in water. Only oil can be added to it. Only in this way will the ingredients combine together and acquire a homogeneous structure.

Step 4. Make the product pasty
Once you reach this stage, stop. Now you need to make the mass into a paste.
Remove the blender lid and add 2 tablespoons of your favorite oil. We like coconut, but almond, olive, and any other vegetable oil works great.

Step 5. Add sweetener
At this point, you need to add sweetener. Add as much sweets as you like. We like organic palm sugar, but you can use any natural ones: honey, maple syrup, brown cane sugar, etc.

Step 6. Arrange in jars
Try this fresh product now! What a rich, aromatic and tasty it is!

Divide the mixture into jars with airtight lids and keep in a cool place. Store out of refrigerator for up to 2 months. In the refrigerator, its preservation can be extended up to 3-6 months.

You can make tons of flavors and variations with this recipe. For the chocolate version, add a few tablespoons of cocoa powder or mix with nutella. Or add chopped dates, figs, raisins and don't use any sweetener. Get creative and you will be delighted with new flavors!
And this is what a treat looks like if you mix it with honey.

Apple pasta is a delicious healthy snack! Enjoy!

Almond peanut butter

Almonds and peanuts are used in equal parts for this recipe. By the way, if you only use almonds, you can make almond paste the same way.

Below is a video on how to make delicious peanut, almond and chocolate spreads at home.

Many have heard or seen in American films such a product as peanut butter, which is so deliciously spread on bread and various pancakes-pancakes. What else can you make with peanut butter? In addition to the fact that it can be used to smear any bakery products, it is also put into the filling for baking, used in various desserts and sweets, and also added to sauces and meat dishes. We will tell you how to make peanut butter at home, it is quite easy, but you cannot do without a blender, we will describe the technology in more detail using the example of recipes.

For homemade pasta, it's best to take raw peanuts and cook them yourself. Of course, it is better to use honey as a sweetener, or, in extreme cases, powdered sugar. sugar does not dissolve well and as a result, the butter will be grained, and not smooth and homogeneous.

Ingredients:

  • raw peanuts - 340 g;
  • honey - 30 ml;
  • refined oil - 15 ml;
  • salt - 5 g.

Preparation

We wash the peanuts well and blanch in boiling water for literally a couple of minutes, and then rinse with ice water. Such processing with a temperature difference will greatly facilitate the process of peeling and grinding. After rinsing, lay out on a baking sheet with parchment and put in the oven for 10 minutes, sometimes stir. After the nuts have cooled, pour them into a bowl and cover with another one of a suitable diameter and shake very actively, while the husks are well separated from the kernels. Then it will be enough just to sift through a coarse sieve. We put the peanuts into a blender and begin to grind, first you get a crumb, then flour, then the mass will begin to gather into a lump and only after 15-20 minutes the nuts will begin to give out oil and you will get a homogeneous paste. This process is slow, so the blender should be allowed to cool from time to time, and the mass should be mixed and cleaned off the walls.

Add butter, preferably not fragrant or peanut, honey with no pronounced taste and fine salt. Mix again and put in a storage jar.

How to make chocolate peanut butter at home?

This recipe is for making a paste with unpeeled but roasted peanuts. At the same time, the skins will give the final product not only a beautiful brown color, but also saturate with fiber, which helps protein food to be better absorbed.

Ingredients:

Preparation

Wash the peanuts and fry in a pan or in the oven until golden brown, but remember that it has a high heat capacity, so you need to stop cooking it when it just started to golden, then it will come on its own. Put the nuts in a blender and grind for 15-20 minutes, depending on the power of the blender, remembering to stir and let the appliance rest. To facilitate the grinding process, you can add oil and salt at the beginning and tilt the blender bowl in different directions during the process. At the end, add cocoa and honey, and if the paste is too dense, you can dilute it with butter a little more.
