For some reason, children really love this simple cake. It would seem that it is made without any special decorations, without lush cream. But always to the question “What kind of cake should I make?”, the invariable answer is “Anthill!” Either it’s because of the interesting name, or because in childhood we often made it at the dacha. We bought cookies and boiled condensed milk. Children always took an active part in its preparation. We enjoyed breaking cookies, making cream, and mixing them. And then, with no less pleasure, they ate their own work of culinary art.

Yesterday we celebrated our son's birthday. And although he was already 24, just like when he was 5, he again asked for his favorite cake. Of course, I immediately agreed, because I love him myself. Knowing that the guests would not refuse such a tasty delicacy, I decided to prepare it in large quantities. So that there is enough for everyone! And of course, not from store-bought cookies, after all, we prepare treats according to the occasion... Therefore, we will make both cookies and delicious cream the way they should be!

Let me note once again that the treat is being prepared for a birthday; 10 guests are expected. Therefore, we prepare it for about 12 servings. It will turn out very big. If you are cooking for fewer people, then reduce the ingredients proportionally.

We will need for the test:

  • flour - 1.2 kg (7-8 cups)
  • milk - 300 ml
  • egg -4 pcs
  • butter or margarine - 400 g
  • sugar - 1 glass
  • baking powder - 2 teaspoons (or soda 0.5 teaspoons)
  • salt - a pinch
  • vegetable oil - for greasing the baking sheet
  • chocolate - for decoration

For cream:

  • boiled condensed milk - 2 cans
  • butter - 400 gr.
  • walnuts – 150 gr

Preparing the dough

1. Remove butter from the refrigerator in advance. Let it sit until it becomes soft. If you didn’t get the butter in advance, melt it in a water bath. But not to a liquid state, but so that it just becomes soft.

I use 82.5% fat oil. This is a real good oil, from which baked goods are not only tasty, but also healthy. It costs a little more than 72.5%, but we don’t bake cakes every day, so it’s better to use good oil. And I wouldn’t recommend using margarine at all.

Previously, we made “Anthill” with margarine, in my old notebook with recipes it is written like that - with margarine. But then they knew nothing about trans fats and all sorts of other not very healthy ingredients. Now we know and want to eat healthy food, so we only use 82.5% oil in our food.

2. Mix butter with eggs.

3. Warm the milk slightly and add it to the butter and egg mixture while still warm. Mix. If you use soda, quench it with vinegar and add to the mixture.

4. Add flour with baking powder and salt. It is better to introduce flour gradually, thoroughly mixing the contents with a spoon. Then, when the dough becomes thick, place it on a floured table and knead with your hands. It’s a pleasure to work with the dough; it’s soft, elastic and doesn’t stick to your hands at all. Cover the finished dough with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour, or a little more.

While the dough is in the refrigerator, you can prepare the cream in advance. Or you can prepare it when we bake the cookies. Choose the time yourself, whatever is more convenient for you.

Making cream and cake

1. We will need soft butter again, again 82.5%. We mix it with boiled condensed milk. I already have it ready, bought at the store. Previously, we cooked it ourselves; we didn’t sell what we cooked.

But if you need to cook it yourself, then place the jars in a saucepan so that the water completely covers them, bring to a boil, reduce the heat. Cook for about 3 hours, constantly adding water. The jars must be completely covered with water at all times, otherwise our milk will explode. And then it will no longer be possible to do without repairs.

2. And so mix the butter with condensed milk using a mixer until smooth and color, add chopped walnuts. You can grind them on a board using a rolling pin. To prevent them from scattering, cover with a towel and roll out through it with a rolling pin. The nuts should not be very small, so that when they hit the tooth, they are tangible and can be crunched. And it’s just nice when you come across a nut.

3. Now that the dough is ready, let's start baking the cookies. Take the dough out of the refrigerator, cut off a small part, and put the rest back in the refrigerator. Mix it again, we no longer need flour. Divide the dough into several parts.

4. Take one of the parts and roll it out with your hands, forming thin sausages. It's okay if they don't turn out quite even, and if some of them tear in the wrong place. Roll out and place on a baking sheet pre-greased with vegetable oil and lined with baking paper.

In the original, the frozen dough is rolled in a meat grinder and baked in this form. But I like it better when the pieces are larger. This way they are better saturated with cream, and the cake becomes much tastier. That's why I bake bigger cookies.

5. Place the sausages in a spiral so that there is free space between them for even baking.

6. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for 15-20 minutes. But I don’t focus on time, I look more by appearance. Bake until the sausages are browned.

7. While the first batch is baking, you can take more dough out of the refrigerator and roll out sausages for the next batch. I have a lot of dough, so I ended up with either 4 or 5 baking sheets. There is no need to change the baking paper for subsequent batches. We bake all the cookies this way.

8. Take out the finished cookies and place them in a flat dish to cool completely. It turned out uneven, just the way we needed it. When we break it and prepare the treat, it will look like a real anthill.

9. When everything has cooled down, break them into small pieces in any order.

10. Move some of the cookies into a large pan, add all the cream there. Stir, gradually adding all the cookies. Do not break all the cookies at once, there may be a little too much. I have 3-4 pieces left. Of course, after a minute there was nothing left; the hunters were already walking around in circles. And I think that even before that one or two sticks had already been stolen. It’s just delicious without the cream, and everyone already knows about it.

11. I like to make a dense cake, not loose, so I put as many cookies as there is enough cream. Stir with a large spoon. The mass is large and heavy, and even sticky.

12. Now I prepare a large dish, and putting the whole mass into it with my hands, I form a large slide. I compact it so that everything is soaked as best as possible. That's it, the pot is ready.


13. Now all that remains is to sprinkle it with chocolate. I rub the chocolate directly over the slide on a fine grater, as much as I want.

14. Now the “slide” needs to be left at room temperature for two to three hours so that it is thoroughly soaked. And then put it in the refrigerator for another day.

15. The finished cake, despite its external rigidity, is easy to cut into pieces. And I like to eat it not with a spoon, but with my hands. By the way, when I treated my guests to it, I noticed that I wasn’t the only one who liked it. Serve with hot tea.

You will need:

  • 3 tbsp. spoons of coconut flakes;
  • chocolate;
  • 100 gr. oils;
  • 50 gr. cocoa;
  • 100 gr. various nuts;
  • 1 can of condensed milk;
  • 600 gr. cookies.

Preparation

  1. Grind the nuts to a powder;
  2. Grind cookies;
  3. Whisk condensed milk, butter and cocoa;
  4. Pour cream over all ingredients and mix;
  5. Place the mixture in a heap on a plate;
  6. Drizzle with melted chocolate;
  7. Sprinkle the cake with coconut flakes;
  8. Place the product in the cold for 2 hours.

You spent no more than 15 minutes on this wonderful dessert. As a result, a real culinary masterpiece with the taste of chocolate and coconut appeared on the table. Thanks to the shavings, it feels like the cake is covered with frost.

Anthill cake with honey

What’s good about the Anthill cake is that you can always replace one ingredient with another. It may happen that you were about to cook it, but there was no condensed milk in the house. And the children were already ready to drink tea and cake. In this case, a recipe in which condensed milk can easily be replaced with honey will help you out. The result is a completely unusual cake. It is not only delicious, but also helps against many diseases. And drinking tea with honey on winter evenings is always useful.

  • cookies - 500 gr.;
  • honey - 5 tbsp. spoon;
  • walnuts - 100 gr..

Preparation

  1. Grind the nuts;
  2. We break the cookies with our hands;
  3. Pour honey into a bowl and heat it over the fire;
  4. Combine hot honey with all ingredients and mix;
  5. Place the resulting mixture in a heap on a plate and refrigerate. It infuses for about 3 hours; when frozen, it does not crumble and cuts well.

Lazy anthill

All the recipes presented above are easy to follow. However, there is an even simpler recipe that even children can easily handle. This completely simple cake requires no skills. Try making it with your children. There is no need to put anything on the stove and heat it up.


The difference between this recipe is that the cake is made from cookies and sour cream. Everything happens cold. And there is no need to be afraid that children may be injured during culinary experiments or that the kitchen will be covered in dough. It's not in this recipe. There is only a delicate cream, for the preparation of which you need to teach children how to use a mixer.

This recipe can easily be considered an innovative discovery. It kind of requires baking, but you don’t need an oven, like all other baking accessories. The main thing here is the slow cooker. And its taste is somewhat different from other anthills, since there are completely new ingredients here.

A special feature is the baking of cakes, which are then cut into small pieces. The cake takes a little more time, but not so much that you would give up such an interesting recipe and not get new taste sensations. Following my recommendations, you can easily prepare a wonderful delicacy.

The following products are required:

  • boiled condensed milk - 1 can;
  • wheat flour - 4 cups;
  • butter - 180 gr.;
  • sour cream - 1 glass;
  • margarine - 180 gr.;
  • soda - a teaspoon without top;
  • vodka - 1 teaspoon;
  • nuts - 100 gr..

The following anthill recipe is based on shortcrust pastry. It is also prepared with condensed milk, but it requires baked cakes. How to bake cakes? Nothing could be simpler. Delicious shortbread dough is very easy to prepare yourself.

To do this, mix flour with chopped chilled butter or margarine. For 3 cups of flour you will need 200 grams of butter, ½ cup of milk. The dough is easy to knead and does not require much time, and at the same time it will turn out very tender. It can also be purchased in the store. Roll out the finished homemade or store-bought dough thinly, roll it onto a rolling pin and carefully place it on a baking sheet. Bake at 180 degrees for 6-10 minutes on one side. Let's take a closer look at this anthill recipe.

  • raisins, pre-soaked - 1 cup;

  • 100 gr. walnuts;
  • 100 gr. hazelnuts or a mixture of other nuts;
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of cocoa;

Preparation:

  1. Beat the cream from condensed milk, butter and cocoa;
  2. Grind nuts and cookies;
  3. Mix all ingredients in a bowl;
  4. Place the mixture on a plate in a heap and refrigerate;
  5. After 2 hours, serve the cake to the table.

Anthill made from corn sticks

Almost all anthill recipes are very simple to implement and have a rich taste. Once you try just one piece, you can't stop. Even its calorie content is somehow forgotten. But there is another, very simple recipe that tastes just as good as its counterparts, and contains a little less calories. You can prepare it even faster.


Only three components are needed:

  • butter - 200 gr.;
  • toffee - 200 gr.;
  • corn sticks - 150 gr..

Preparation:

  1. Melt the toffee in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, adding butter, stirring continuously;
  2. Pour the sticks into the hot mass and mix well;
  3. Place on a plate, shape into an anthill, and place in the refrigerator for half an hour.

As you noticed, we prepared this cake in just 5 minutes. This is a favorite treat for children. After all, they love corn sticks so much, and here they also love toffee. Fast and very tasty.
