Curd bagels. Soft curd bagels

Curd bagels are a healthy, tasty, quick to prepare and convenient dish that a child will willingly eat.

They have many advantages:

First, of course, cottage cheese. Not all parents are lucky enough to have children who love dairy products, but we all know that cottage cheese is a powerful source of protein and calcium. If the child does not like it in desserts, you can offer it in the form of baked goods.

Secondly, bagels are not fried, unlike cottage cheese pancakes, but frying means sunflower oil brought to a heat, that is, a fried crust, a load on the pancreas, carcinogenic substances.

Thirdly, there are no leavening agents (not even soda) in the recipe, and the bagels are moderately sweet.

This is a great snack for a child at school, during a long walk or on a trip.

Ingredients:

  • 180 g cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. l. Sahara
  • a pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp. l. flour (with a slide)

Soft curd bagels - recipe with photo:

For the dough, take dry low-fat cottage cheese. If the curd is soft, wrap it in several layers of gauze and place under a press to release the whey. Mix cottage cheese with egg, sugar and salt. You should not put more sugar in the dough than indicated in the recipe - the bagels may not rise and will be sticky inside. If you want to sweeten the dish, it is better to sprinkle the finished bagels generously with powdered sugar.

Add flour. Determine the final amount of flour based on the type of dough. It should not stick to your hands, but cottage cheese should predominate, not flour.

Divide the dough into pieces, roll them into sausages and connect the ends of each into a bagel.

Bake bagels with cottage cheese on a baking sheet with parchment at 180 C. Dip the bottom side of each piece in flour to prevent the baked goods from sticking.
The bagels will rise well in the oven due to the egg and softening of the cheese. When the surface is lightly browned, remove the pan from the oven and remove the cookies to a wire rack.

While still warm (but not hot), sprinkle the cottage cheese bagels with powdered sugar.

History of origin

Bagel is a traditional flour product that is very popular in Russia. According to many historians, bagels were invented not in Russia but in Israel. These original flour products were written about as early as 1616 in Jewish documents.

Remember the song “Odessa Bagels”, dedicated to Jewish bagels?

Curd bagels. Ingredients:

  • cottage cheese in briquettes - 2 pieces (200 g each).
  • chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
  • Corn flour - 5 tablespoons.
  • Rice flour, whole grain - 5 tablespoons.
  • Coconut sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 pinch.
  • Agave syrup - 2 tablespoons.
  • 2 tsp. poppy (for decoration).

Preparation:

Grind cottage cheese with egg. Salt, add coconut sugar (we wrote about it in detail), corn and rice flour.

Knead the dough.

Usually, 10-12 tablespoons of flour is enough, but if the cottage cheese was very wet, you will need more. In terms of consistency, the finished dough should be homogeneous, moist, but not very sticky to your hands and confidently come together into one whole.

So, divide the resulting dough into equal parts, roll them into sausages, and then give them ring-shaped shapes and make bagels.

Bake cottage cheese bagels in the oven at 180 - 190 degrees for about 20 minutes until browned.

When ready, drizzle with agave syrup and sprinkle with poppy seeds.

Bon appetit! Stay healthy and stay in shape.

Making homemade bagels with cottage cheese:

It is advisable to take vanilla bagels that are not very small - medium in size. To prepare the filling you will need cottage cheese, sugar, sour cream and an egg. First of all, you need to turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees - this time is quite enough to prepare the bagels. We take all the necessary products.

Place the bagels in a convenient container and pour a glass of water so that they are lightly covered with water. You can replace water with milk.

Grease a convenient baking tray generously with vegetable oil so that the finished cheesecakes do not stick to the bottom. You can use special baking paper, then we also grease it with oil.

Place slightly softened bagels on a sheet of paper or baking sheet.

Place the cottage cheese, preferably fatty, in a bowl where it will be convenient to mix the resulting filling.

Lightly knead the cottage cheese and add a fresh chicken egg. If you are preparing a double portion, you can use two eggs.

After this, you can add granulated sugar. If you add cinnamon or vanilla sugar, add along with the sugar.

To make the curd filling more juicy, add a little fresh sour cream.

Mix the cottage cheese very well - it is desirable that all the sugar is completely dissolved. You can use honey or fruit syrup instead of sugar.

By this time the oven should already be heated to the required temperature. Therefore, it’s time to put the cottage cheese filling on the bagels.

Place the prepared bagels stuffed with cottage cheese in the oven and bake until done for about 10 minutes.

Remove the finished bagels from the oven and cool slightly. Ready cheesecakes can be served.

A wonderful simple dessert is ready. Bon appetit!
