Last year I made these “Dream” and “Snowball” caramel apples, but that year the apples were larger.

So, let's take apples. If you pick the apples yourself, pick them together with the stem. It will make a baked apple look much more interesting.

Wash the apples well. I usually put them in a colander and rinse them.

Now we need to carefully cut off the top and bottom of the apple. The upper part with the stalk will serve as a kind of lid. And we cut off the bottom one to stabilize the apples so that they don’t roll out on the baking sheet.

Now the hardest part is removing the core from each apple. I don't have a special tool for this, so I dig it out with a knife. First I make cuts around the core. Then I insert the knife into the center and make screwing movements. And the core breaks and is taken out. Then, if a wider recess is required, it can also be enlarged using a knife.

Place a small caramel candy in the formed cavity so that you can evenly cover the cut top.

Take parchment paper or any silicone baking dish, you can also use a silicone mat. I used parchment.
We place our apples on parchment.

Turn on the oven at 200 degrees and bake for 7-20 minutes. Cooking time depends on the size of your apples. But usually they cook very quickly. Mine were ready in 10 minutes.

Remove the apples from the oven carefully with a spatula so that they do not bruise. Place them on the heifers and sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon. You can also add mint.

Two apples

Handful of raisins

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

How will we cook?:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Steam the raisins in a water bath or simply fill them with heated water. After about five minutes, drain the water and dry the raisins.

Cut the apples in half and carefully cut out the center with the seeds using a sharp knife. To prevent the apple halves from darkening, sprinkle them with lemon juice (just a little bit).

Heat the oil in a frying pan, pour in lemon juice, add sugar and raisins. Over low heat, stirring constantly, keep the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Pour the caramel syrup into a baking dish, place the apples cut side down in it, and put this beauty in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes, without turning the apples.

Place the baked apples along with warm syrup on a beautiful plate, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and enjoy an incredibly delicious dessert. If you are not planning a “ceremonial” serving of dessert, you can do without ice cream - the dessert is already good.

For cooking, choose sweet and sour, juicy medium-sized apples - the ingredients are for 8-10 pieces. Apples must be washed well; store-bought fruits are often coated with a wax compound or something similar for transportation.

If this substance remains on the peel, the caramel will clump and harden unevenly.

Place the pan over medium heat and stir the sugar syrup constantly. When it boils, turn down the heat and stop stirring. According to the recipe, after boiling the syrup, cook for another 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heat and wait until the syrup stops bubbling.

Its surface should be smooth. There may be some foam left on top, but there should be no movement of bubbles. At this time, prepare a plate on which we will place the caramel apples. Lubricate it with a thin layer of odorless vegetable oil.

We take the apples out of the refrigerator and dip them in syrup, turning them around their axis. If you want a thicker layer of caramel, turn it several times. If you can’t completely dip the apple into the syrup, lift one edge of the pan.

Let the excess caramel drip off and place the apple on a plate. You can put the apples in a glass instead. Then the droplets of dripping caramel will harden near the stick, and not on the top of the fruit.

If desired, after glazing, you can dip the apple in coconut flakes, confectionery sprinkles or chocolate chips.
