Often, crab salads with shrimp, offered as classic ones, contain rice in their composition. Such an addition is quite acceptable, but this is a slightly different dish. It is better not to use ground pepper, it greatly “hampers” the taste, however, lovers of spicy snacks can boil squid with laurel and peas.

Ingredients:

  • two carcasses of medium-sized squid;
  • one carrot, small size and onion;
  • four crab sticks;
  • half a glass of grated "Russian" cheese;
  • mayonnaise "Provencal";
  • boiled egg.

Shrimp crab salad recipe step by step

We lay out the salad in layers, so we prepare everything that is possible in advance. If there is a boiled egg, we simply peel it; if it is raw, we boil it “hard-boiled” in salt water, cool it and also clean it. We disassemble, setting aside the yolk, and pass the protein through a medium grater.

  • a small jar of caviar, red and black, or their protein imitation;
  • mayonnaise, thick and fatty;
  • small lemon (use half).

How to cook

We completely drain the liquid from all canned food, it is useless in our salad. Products additionally stand in a colander - slightly dry from moisture. Boil the eggs, cool and dissolve into narrow strips, cook the squid quickly in spicy brine (lavrushka, pepper, coriander and salt). Finely chop the clam, and chop the crab meat in the same cube.

We clean all the dark skin from the cucumber, cut it, focusing on the size of the corn kernels. We combine the chopped products, add and season with mayonnaise. Squeeze, splashing over the entire surface, lemon juice, mix and check the salinity and sourness. If necessary, add salt in very small portions and acidify the salad with juice literally drop by drop.

We spread it in the form of a flat “hill”, neatly on top of the salad, with several multi-colored petals, level the “caviar”. Of course, you can use natural, if available, and artificial, for greater resemblance to the original, add a little salt and mix separately with a few drops of fish oil. We place shrimp on top of the caviar layer, there should not be too many of them if your crustaceans are large, marinated. You can even cut them in half.

Ingredients:

  • fillet of salted pink salmon or trout - 200 grams;

Step by step recipe

Take medium-sized shrimps, they need to be slightly thawed and dipped in salted boiling water, boiled for about five minutes and caught with a slotted spoon in a colander. Onions, crab semi-finished products and chicken eggs are cut into small cubes. You should not chop too much, the products should be felt in the salad.

We spread the corn to the other ingredients, of course, carefully decanting the liquid. You can add more to taste than indicated in the recipe, but first mix and taste the main products. Add rice, season lightly with mayonnaise. The purpose of this sauce is not to shape the taste, but only to keep the salad in the desired shape.

We try, add salt, stir in parsley. As suggested above, add corn as you wish. We cut the trout into thin slices, if it is commercially available - just buy any cut salmon fish. Rinse lettuce leaves and dry thoroughly with a towel.

For elegant serving, use the saucers from the coffee service. Arrange the lettuce leaves, let the greens hang loosely over the edges of the dish. Place a funnel from a disposable cup in the middle, carefully cutting off the bottom with a blade. Put the salad inside with a dessert spoon, gently lift the makeshift funnel and shake out the mass onto the leaves. This is necessary in order not to smear the leaves with mayonnaise.

Trout slices can be placed directly on the lettuce leaves, in the form of petals or on top of the lettuce mass. There is no desire to spend so much time on serving - just cut the red fish and mix it into the total mass. On top of the salad, we randomly lay out halves of quail eggs, cut olives, shrimp without a shell, and vertically set parsley sprigs.

Option 5: Crab salad with shrimp - "Disco"

You should be especially careful when using red sauce: do not put a lot, but do not leave the treat dryish. The appetizer should not contain excess moisture, on the contrary, it should remain a little denser than similar salads. Serve it worth it, not letting it brew.

Ingredients:

  • four thin crab semi-finished products;
  • finely chopped cabbage - 80 grams;
  • a jar of sweet corn;
  • three rings of pineapple in syrup;
  • 70 grams of Maasdam cheese or a similar variety;
  • one and a half glasses of boiled, peeled shrimp;
  • fat mayonnaise, not less than 67 percent, and ketchup without flavorings and spices.

How to cook

Regardless of the variety, cut the cabbage and, after salting, stand for half an hour, then knead it with your hands with an effort - it should greatly decrease in volume. It is better to drain the salty juice completely, but you can lightly season the salad with it.

The appetizer is beautifully served in wide crystal glasses or small portioned glass salad bowls - all layers will be clearly visible, and so will the sauce. Let's start with the gas station. We mix mayonnaise with ketchup in a ratio of 2: 1, instead of ketchup, a 25 percent tomato or thin sauce, without spices, is suitable, slightly diluted with water.

Lay out the already prepared cabbage, gently flatten it and season with homemade sauce on top. Spread out the corn, it should look a little larger, the grains are also covered with a tomato-mayonnaise mixture. It is not worth crushing this one, as well as subsequent layers, try to calculate the amount of products more precisely, or set aside part for another serving.

Cut into slices and lay out the pineapple, try to avoid getting syrup into the salad, otherwise the appetizer will “float”. Crab rolls, spreading thin rings, lay out above the pineapples. This layer, again cover with our sauce.

Shrimps are boiled in the usual way, with salt, but without any spices and even lavrushka. We clean the crustaceans from the shell, without slicing, lay them tightly on top of the salad.
