Step by step cooking

  1. Prepare all the food you need. You can cook French steak at home with mushrooms or without.
  2. Now we begin to prepare the "filling": grate the cheese. It is better to take hard varieties.
  3. Shred the tomatoes into medium-sized rings. Use mid-season tomatoes for better chopping and cooking.
  4. We do the same with onions.
  5. But the mushrooms should be chopped finely. Champignons are suitable for our dish.
  6. Now we proceed to the main thing - the preparation of the steak itself. If possible, cook the minced meat yourself, and if you don't have the time and desire, take the ready-made one. So, add the egg, seasonings, salt to the minced meat and knead it well.
  7. We form a steak, send it to fry in a pan, after which we put cheese, onions, again cheese and tomatoes on it.
  8. After that, cover with a lid and reduce the heat. So we cook our French steak at home for about fifteen minutes on very low heat. Put the mushrooms between the layers and do not forget to coat with mayonnaise.

For cooking chopped steak in French it is best to use young lean beef or veal. The cheese for this dish can either be grated or cut into thin slices.

How to make French minced steak:

Grind the meat. It is best to chop finely with a knife, or pass through a meat grinder with a coarse mesh.

Chop the onion, herbs and garlic very finely. Mix with minced meat. Salt and pepper. Mix well.

Make medium-sized cutlets from minced meat and fry in preheated vegetable oil. Fry the cutlets until golden brown, but do not dry them out.

Cut the tomatoes and onions into rings.

Grease a baking sheet with a little vegetable oil.

Place the steaks on a baking sheet. Spread some mayonnaise on top. Put onion rings on each steak, put tomato rings on top of the onions, put cheese on top of the tomatoes.

Put the chopped steaks in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Bring to readiness within 15 minutes.

Ingredients for three servings

  • Minced pork 250 g.
  • Chicken egg 1 ml.
  • Tomato 1 pc.
  • Bulb onion 1 pc.
  • Cheese 50 g.
  • Champignons 3 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise 2 tbsp spoon
  • Sunflower oil 2 tbsp spoon
  • Table salt to taste

Step by step cooking

  1. Peel and cut the onion into half rings.
