1. The first step is to boil the beans until cooked. To do this, soak it beforehand all night in cold water, it will swell well and cook quickly enough. If you forget to soak the beans, do not worry, fill it with water, bring to a boil, remove from heat and leave to infuse in hot water under a closed lid for one hour. After that, it is just as quickly cooked. Well, if you cook beans that are not soaked in advance, then spend at least two or even three hours on it.


2. Clean the chicken meat from the skin (we do not need it) and cut into convenient pieces. It is best to use meat with a bone: drumsticks, thighs or ham, since these parts of the chicken are much juicier than, for example, brisket.


3. Fry the meat in a pan with the addition of sunflower oil until golden brown. Peel and wash the onions and carrots under running water, cut them as small as possible and send to the meat to fry first the onions, and then the carrots.


4. When the meat with vegetables is almost ready, add sour cream diluted with boiled water, tomato sauce, finely chopped garlic and spices to taste. Instead of tomato sauce, you can use ketchup, tomato paste, tomato juice, or just take a few tomatoes, peel off, dipping them for a moment in boiling water, and stem, chop and add to the dish. Stew the resulting gravy for a few minutes.


5. From the separately boiled beans, drain the remaining liquid and mix with the gravy. Bring to taste your favorite spices, if necessary. If it seems to you that the beans are rather dry, add more water. Stew it with meat for about 5-10 minutes. Braised beans with chicken and vegetables will be very tender and will just melt in your mouth.


6. Add finely chopped favorite greens. Serve hot. Enjoy your meal!

This tasty and colorful dish, chicken with canned beans, I wanted to make it today, on a quiet overcast autumn day. I cook beans very rarely, not because I don’t like her, but somehow I forget about her, and she cooks for a long time. And then I remembered the recipe that a friend of mine recently shared with me and uses red canned beans in it. I decided to bring this recipe to life.

When I prepared this dish, I decided to call it “Autumn Blues”, because the riot of colors on the plate reminded me very much about last weekend when my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren were walking in the park. It was very beautiful!

Chicken with canned beans

Ingredients:

  • red canned beans in their own juice
  • chicken breast
  • carrot
  • onion
  • green beans
  • green pea
  • tomato ketchup
  • vegetable oil

Recipe for chicken with beans in tomato sauce:

  1. Cut chicken breast into thin, small medallions. Add vegetable oil to the pan (better if it is large in diameter and not deep), heat it up and lay out the chicken meat. Quickly fry it, uncovered. Fry until complete evaporation of the juice, which provided the meat. Roasted meat in this way will be juicy and tasty. Put the finished chicken fillet into another skillet with high sides.
  2. Wash carrots, peel and grate either on a coarse grater or grated for Korean carrots.
  3. Wash the onions, peel, finely chop.
  4. Put in the pan, in which the chicken was fried, add a little vegetable oil, carrots and onions and fry a little.
  5. I decided to add some colors to this dish, this in the recipe that my acquaintance shared with me was not. In a pan, where the carrots were fried with onions, I put the green beans and green peas. These bright green vegetables were in my freezer and you do not need to defrost them in advance, immediately put in the pan and continue to fry until done.
  6. Ready vegetables to add to the chicken, just add canned beans, pre-drain juice. To mix everything.
  7. Making tomato sauce - dilute some tomato ketchup with water and add to the dish. Perfect for this fit, I always procure it myself, it is much tastier and healthier than the store. If this dish is made in summer, then tomato sauce can be made from fresh tomatoes.
  8. Mix all the ingredients, cover and simmer all together. After 5 - 7 minutes the chicken with canned beans will be ready.

Serve hot. It is self-sufficient and can be served without a side dish. If, after all, no side dish, you can serve with pasta or with boiled rice.

Step 1: prepare the chicken.

It is very easy to make such food, but first you need to prepare products. Thoroughly wash fresh chicken fillets under cold running water, dry them with paper kitchen towels, spread them on a cutting board and remove the film, cartilage and small pieces of fat from it with a sharp kitchen knife. Then cut the meat in small portioned pieces from 2 to 3 centimeters, transfer them to clean deep dishes, sprinkle to taste with black pepper, salt, mix with clean hands, so that the spices cover the cutting from all sides, and leave the bird in this form on 15–20 minutes.

Step 2: prepare the onion.


Meanwhile, using a clean knife, peel off onions and rinse it under trickles of cold water. Then we send the vegetable to a new cutting board and chop rings, half rings, straws or large cubes from 5 to 8 millimeters in size.

Step 3: Prepare the beans and the rest of the ingredients.


After that, helping yourself with a special key, open a jar of canned beans in marinade. Tilt it in a sieve or a colander with a fine mesh and, without rinsing, leave it in the sink until use, so that the glass has excess liquid. We do not lose a minute, we lay out on the table-top all the other ingredients that will be needed to prepare the dish, and proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Cooking Chicken with Beans.


We put a deep frying pan on the middle fire and pour a little vegetable oil into it, its amount depends only on your taste, I completely had two tablespoons. After 2–3 minutes, gently dip the fillet pieces into the preheated fat and fry them until golden brown, stirring constantly with a wooden kitchen spatula. At first, the meat will change its pink shade to gray and will be stewed, but after about 10 minutes   will begin to be covered with a ruddy crust.

As soon as the chicken is almost ready, add the chopped onion to it, mix everything again and cook them together for about 4–5 minutes. Then we put the haricot beans and tomato paste into the frying pan with the already fragrant dish, again we loosen with a spatula, taste and, if necessary, add more spices.

After that, we reduce the fire to a minimum level, cover the food with a lid, we withstand on the included plate 3-4 minutes, we distribute portions on plates and immediately serve to the table.

Step 5: Serve Chicken with Beans.


Immediately after cooking, chicken with beans is served as a main course, which can be served on its own or by adding some unobtrusive side dish, such as buckwheat, pasta, mashed potatoes, boiled rice, fresh vegetable salad, although pickled, pickled, as well as homemade bread, too, will do. It is prepared on the basis of:

  • chicken fillet - 500 g;
  • red beans in tomato sauce - 1 can;
  • small onions;
  • pairs of small pickled cucumbers;
  • vegetable oil.

Chicken meat can be boiled in salted water or baked using the grill. Onion cut into half rings and pour over boiling water to eliminate bitterness. Preparing food from:

  • chicken breast - 350 g;
  • canned white beans - 250 g;
  • canned champignons - 250 g;
  • crackers - 40 g;
  • potatoes - a couple of pieces;
  • chicken eggs - a few;
  • pickled cucumbers - 1-3 pcs. (depending on size);
  • mayonnaise - 120 g;
  • salad leaves (as a dish decoration);
  • salt.

Chicken breast is boiled in salted water until tender. Potato tubers should be boiled in the peel, hard boiled eggs (cook for at least 10 minutes). Cooked foods should be cooled, cleaned and crushed, giving the shape of small cubes.

Marinated mushrooms are cut into small pieces and added to the rest of the cutting. There should also send chopped cucumbers.

Canned beans, be sure to be white and without a tomato, need to drain in a colander and rinse under running water. When water is drained, the product can be added to a bowl of vegetables, mushrooms and meat. At the end, all the ingredients are seasoned with mayonnaise - shop or homemade, kneaded and salted to taste.

Before you start cooking red beans with chicken, you should say a few words about it. Beans are a very useful product, rich in vegetable protein, therefore it is often used in diet programs. With the help of beans, rich in fiber, people are struggling with extra kilograms.

In this dish should take care of the beans in advance. It should be sorted and washed. Red beans should be soaked for 8-12 hours. In practice, I will say that it is convenient to do this at night - soaked and forgotten, and the next day you can start cooking the product. In addition, soaked beans after cooking does not cause gas formation in the intestine.

After soaking, drain the water, pour the pot with the beans with fresh water.


Put the beans on the stove, follow: as soon as the water boils, foam will form. It is, of course, worth removing.


Cook beans for 2-3 hours. After 1.5 hours, the beans should be periodically pierced, so that it does not turn into a porridge, as some beans cooked faster and some slower.

While boiling beans, salt is not worth it, otherwise the product will be tough.
  Wash the finished beans under running water.


Peel the garlic and onion. Onion cut into rings, chop the garlic with a knife. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, fry onion and garlic until golden. Vegetables removed from the pan in a bowl.


Wash chicken breast, cut into thin strips, so it will quickly roast.


In butter heated in a pan, send chicken pieces, fry on large fire for about 5 minutes. Then add spices, tomato paste, soy sauce. Pepper and salt to taste.
