I love cats very much, so when I found out that the kota-cafe was opening in Moscow, my happiness knew no bounds. I have already heard a lot about similar establishments in Europe, and I dreamed that we would discover something similar here as well. I've been here 5 times already, so I think it's time to tell you about this place.

i will not indicate the exact address, I advise you to recognize him on the official website, since the "seals" have moved several times + now this is not just a cafe, but a network.

Kotokafe works on the anti-cafe system, that is, here you pay for your time, and tea, coffee, cookies are all free. For an additional fee you can eat something more serious.

At the entrance to the cafe you will be asked to take off your street shoes and change into local “crocs”, and also ask you to disinfect your hands. If you are here for the first time, the staff will tell you about the rules of behavior, introduce you to cats and answer all your questions.

The interior here is beyond praise, there is absolutely cat themes everywhere. For visitors there are tables with chairs, puffs, but all the best, of course, for cats: all sorts of houses, baskets, loopholes, scraps.

What surprised me, cats do not smell here at all, everything is very clean. The cats themselves are very well-groomed, they are regularly visited by a veterinarian, so you can not be afraid.

I know that many people do not like such places, because animals often play the role of an attraction here, and they are very stressful because of the constant flow of people and squeezing. I can say that before this was not. The first time I got into the kotkafe was immediately after it opened. The staff conducted a briefing and made it clear that I didn’t come for my own entertainment, but to visit the cats, they shouldn’t be squeezed and picked up by hands until they themselves want it, you can’t disturb sleeping cats. The flow of people was regulated by the booking of places, and there was also a strict rule regarding visiting children: they were allowed only from the age of five and only during the daytime on weekdays. Now all this has changed a bit, but more on that later ...

By the way, this place is intended not only for skrashivaniya their leisure time, here you can also find a friend for life: you can shelter any cat. Sometimes even kittens are brought here, which, in my opinion, is important for those who for some reason are afraid to take an adult cat.

In addition to the fact that you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the presence of furry animals, visitors can entertain themselves with books, board games, and there is Wi-Fi. With the growing popularity of the katokafe, the program has become much more interesting: from time to time evenings are organized here devoted to a certain breed of cats. People come from kennels, bring their cats and tell a lot of interesting things about them. I timed one of my trips to the kotakafe to the presentation of a British breed of cats, I really liked it! Also, various master classes are held here, but I was not particularly interested in this topic, so I can’t say anything concrete.

Unfortunately, such a rosy atmosphere did not reign for long, and with the growing popularity of the institution of workers, they began to worry more about money, not their fluffy wards ... A year ago, my husband and I decided to go to kotokaf again (it was a weekend evening), booked a place and came to the appointed time. Already approaching the building, we saw through the windows that there were too many visitors, we could not even enter immediately, because the room for changing shoes was too small for so many people.

Finally, having entered, we really couldn't get any comfort from visiting the seals. There were so many people that there was nowhere to sit, and even stand, but I’m not talking about talking to cats. Almost all of them hid on the highest shelves or even went to their room, where they eat and go to the toilet (visitors are not allowed there). I also drew attention to the huge number of small children, although earlier, as I wrote above, they could attend this establishment only during the daytime of weekdays. They ran all over the cafe, shouted, and two of them even squeezed the cat into a corner and poked toys into its muzzle ... And none of the employees paid attention to this !!!

Of course, the impressions of the visit were spoiled, and my husband and I hurried away. Since there was no limit to my outrage, I left my feedback in the VKontakte group, is it worth saying that it was hurriedly deleted? But since I still wanted to get at least some comment about this situation, I sent my letter to them by e-mail. This time I already got an answer. I was told that restrictions on children no longer apply, and so many people are connected with the fact that I came at a fairly popular time. But why then on the site there is a reservation of places, if they start everything in an unlimited flow? By the way, before writing this post, I went to the kotakapa official website, and no longer found the booking column ... As for the children's behavior and lack of response from the staff, I was told that I was at the peak of the visit, and the staff were too uploaded. As compensation, I was offered a free visit to their establishment ... I didn’t answer anything to it ... It was unpleasant for me that initially a really good place turned into a contact zoo, and that instead of listening to the comments, I decided to close my mouth for free a visit But I love cats too much to fall for it ...

If you still really want to visit this place, I advise you to come in the morning on weekdays. But I’m not coming here again with my foot!
