The best snacks for beer at home - a DIY beer plate. The best recipes for beer snacks at home Vegetable snacks

In order not to duplicate an event that happened a week ago (and you probably had one for Valentine’s Day), I propose organizing a holiday that is completely different in meaning and design for February 23rd. Let it be a real beer party at home!

I don’t think it’s necessary to recreate the ambiance of a Bavarian establishment in your apartment, dress in a low-cut, colorful suit and braid two blonde pigtails. But it’s better to make traditional beer snacks.

Beer snacks: simple and quick recipes!

Salty small things

I’ll just list it, because we’re having a beer party at home, which means we can come up with something more cozy: crackers, dried squid, chips, etc. Of all this, I would only put good quality nuts on the table.

Sausages, wieners, frankfurters

Several varieties of these meat products are cut into “stumps” of 3-4 cm, fried in a grill pan or simply in vegetable oil. Good as a snack for beer only when served hot.

Toast

Remove thick bread (“Borodinsky”, “Darnitsky”, “Nareznoy”) from the crust and cut into cubes. I make it in a dry frying pan, but first, using a brush to grease the dough, I generously season the bars on all sides with melted butter. Fry quickly, sprinkle with a mixture of garlic, salt and water.

Hot sandwiches

Spread a thin layer of sour cream or mayonnaise on pieces of bread, put a thin slice of sausage or cooked (smoked or baked) meat, sprinkle with herbs. A circle of tomato or ketchup, grated cheese on top. Place in the oven until the cheese is completely melted.

Garlic loaf

We cut a whole loaf of bread at intervals of 1-1.5 cm so that the bottom crust remains intact. Between the slices we place the following mixture: to 100 g of grated hard cheese, add 3 cloves of chopped garlic, 100 g of soft butter and parsley. Place in the oven for 20 minutes, preheated to 200 degrees, while wrapping the loaf in foil. Brown the loaf without foil for another 5 minutes.

Pizza

What we call pizza in Russia is very easy to make at home. A kind of big hot sandwich of a round shape. It always turns out delicious; nothing really depends on the proportions of cheese, sausage, vegetables and sauces. Don't be afraid, let's experiment! Entire websites are dedicated to recipes for making authentic Italian pizza. You can also try…

Cheese puffs

Well, a 10-year-old child can handle this. Thaw the finished puff pastry, roll out lightly, cut into squares, put a block of cheese in each square, seal in the shape of a triangle and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes. An ideal beer snack, the recipe is very simple!

Canapes or cheese, meat, fish plates

I highly recommend looking at the 30 types of canapés that I have collected in these articles:

Spicy chicken wings

Salt 100 ml of hot red Tabasco pepper and add a little ground black pepper. Spread the mixture on 1 kg of chicken wings and bake in the oven (40-45 minutes). By the way, you can do the same with pork ribs.

Meat rolls

It's tasty and fast, don't refuse this snack. Thinly slice the meat fillet with a sharp knife, beat lightly, add salt and pepper on both sides. Break an egg in a deep plate, add a tablespoon of sour cream, lightly salt, mix thoroughly. Place a block of cheese into each piece of chopped meat, wrap it in a roll, and dip it in the egg mixture and crushed crackers. Fry in a heated frying pan with sunflower oil, turning over when one side is slightly browned... 20 minutes is usually enough.

Chicken tabaka

This is my favorite dish even without beer, so I dedicated an entire article to the “little ones” with a detailed recipe in pictures. Click

How nice it is to sit with friends over a bottle of beer! Pleasant communication, intimate conversations... And, of course, tasty and aromatic snacks for beer.

This is an amazing dish, served piping hot. Under the thin crispy crust lies melted cheese - simply delicious!

Ingredients:

  • Russian cheese – 200g;
  • three egg whites;
  • 3 tablespoons of wheat flour plus half a glass for breading;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • for frying - about 300 ml vegetable oil.

This dish cannot be called low-calorie, since it is deep-fried.

How to cook:

  1. We make cheese shavings by chopping the cheese on a grater with small holes.
  2. In a clean, low-fat bowl, beat the egg whites, separated from the yolks, with a pinch of salt. Whipping must be continued until a stable foam is formed.
  3. Add cheese shavings to the whites.
  4. Sift 3 tablespoons of wheat flour into the mixture.
  5. Knead with your hands until you get a homogeneous mass, slightly sticky. If you can’t make a ball out of it, you’ll have to add a little more flour.
  6. Sprinkle a wide dish generously with the remaining flour. With hands dipped in water, form small balls of the same size. Dredge them well in flour. The excess needs to be shaken off.
  7. In a low saucepan, heat the refined vegetable oil well.
  8. Carefully place the balls in small portions with a slotted spoon so that they float in the fat and do not touch each other. Stir, keeping the balls on the surface of the oil all the time.

As soon as they are browned, they can be placed on a plate and served immediately. If foods that are too fatty are contraindicated for you, you can dry them on a napkin for a couple of minutes to remove excess fat.

What to buy with beer

Almost every country has its own traditions of producing and drinking beer. Moreover, each type of drink involves the choice of a different snack. Thus, it is believed that light beer is best drunk with dried fish, cheese, and crayfish, while dark beer is recommended to be supplemented with hot meat dishes. Beer snacks should ideally enhance, but in no case interrupt, the taste of the foamy drink. Below are different options for dishes that harmonize with it.

Fish

In the countries of the post-Soviet region, it is customary to serve dried or dried fish with beer. However, you need to know which varieties go best with the intoxicating drink. The best fish to pair with beer is:

  • vobla;
  • sprat;
  • flounder;
  • peled;
  • smoked vendace.

Meat snacks

Crackers, salted peanuts, French fries, chips - these products are called “junk food” in the USA, and for good reason. Beer snacks are harmful and contain a lot of calories. Their only advantage is their availability, but true beer lovers rarely choose such a snack because it overpowers the taste of the drink. Alternatives include homemade garlic croutons and meat snacks cut into long, thin slices. Such snacks are quick and easy to serve, they are healthier, tastier, and complement the aroma of the drink.

Sausages

The Germans consider sausages baked on the grill or fried in a frying pan to be the best snack. It’s easy to prepare such a treat - each product is cut, stuffed with a cheese slice, smeared with mustard and baked/fried. Sausages should be served hot with beer along with some sauce. The advantages of the dish are simplicity, taste, satiety. The only disadvantage is that such beer snacks are fattier, plus they run out quickly

Cheese

The ideal snack for a foamy drink is cheese, the main thing is not to make a mistake in choosing. Experts advise choosing light cheeses for light beers, while a product with a richer taste is more suitable for an unfiltered drink or porter. An alternative option is to play with contrasts. For example, a cheese plate for beer with soft varieties of product will go well with a sweet and sour drink. The more complex the taste of the beer, the richer the snack should be served. Feta harmonizes with wheat ale, spicy Roquefort and English Stilton are combined with unfiltered beer.

Low-calorie snack for beer

The idea that beer makes you fat is a misconception, because the drink has lower calorie content than milk. People gain weight from snacks they eat with beer. However, lovers of the foamy drink can protect themselves and their figure from the negative consequences of drinking it. What dietary snacks can be consumed with beer to avoid gaining weight:

  • rice chips (contain half the calories of potato chips);
  • hunting sausages (it’s better to eat a couple of sausages than fat-saturated nuts or other unhealthy snacks);
  • crabs, shrimp;
  • pita chips;
  • popcorn (the snack contains only 115 kcal and quickly fills you up).

Making a delicious beer snack with your own hands at home is not that difficult. Just a few dishes can turn an ordinary evening with a glass of beer into a real feast. This article will look at simple and interesting beer snacks for every taste.

Below you will find recipes for dishes and snacks to go with the foam: both those that can be prepared in a hurry and those that require a lot of time. All you have to do is choose a dish depending on your taste preferences and free time.

Meat

One of the most popular dishes to go with beer is, of course, boiled crayfish. But you still need to know how to cook them correctly. Fortunately, it's easy. To prepare the dish you need to take live crayfish, peppercorns, salt, dill and water.

First of all, you need to boil water in a large saucepan, add dill, salt and put 1 teaspoon of pepper, then close the lid and cook over medium heat.

After 3 minutes, add crayfish to the boiling water, cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat and make sure that the water does not boil away. Next, you need to wait until the water boils again and cook the crayfish for another 25-30 minutes. Remove the finished crayfish from the pan with a slotted spoon and serve with beer while still hot.

Another delicious meat dish to go with beer is marinated sausages. For preparation you will need:

  • 1 kg of good quality sausages;
  • garlic;
  • vinegar (300-500 ml);
  • pickled cucumber;
  • hot pepper - 3 pcs.;
  • 10 g each of sugar, coriander and salt;
  • 1 onion.

Preparation:

  1. The cucumber should be cut into thin slices, the onion into feathers, and the garlic should be chopped into small pieces. At the same time, you need to boil water, add 6% vinegar and spices to it.
  2. Peel the sausages and make a cut on them. Insert a slice of cucumber, a piece of hot pepper, onion, garlic into it, season with mustard or horseradish to taste.
  3. Place the sausages in a 3-liter jar in layers along with the onions (the first layer is the onion, then the sausages, and so on in a circle).
  4. Pour the prepared marinade over the sausages and leave in the jar for 1-2 days, after which they can be served with beer.

Hot

A universal hot dish with foam is fried chickpeas. This is a good replacement for store-bought chips and crackers, and also has a lot of useful properties.

Before cooking, chickpeas are filled with water and infused for 10-12 hours, after which they are thoroughly dried.

Fry over medium heat, in a regular frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil. You need to stir the grains approximately once every 5 minutes, and the entire frying process will take about 15-20 minutes.

When the grains are ready (you can check by taste), spices are added to them: a small spoonful of paprika, ground ginger, dried garlic, curry, hot pepper, salt (to taste).

Then the chickpeas are fried for another 5 minutes, after which they are served hot and crispy with beer.

Another option for a hot snack with beer is cheese balls. To prepare them you need 200 g of cheese (Dutch or Russian is suitable), 4 egg whites, vegetable oil, flour and salt. First you need to finely grate the cheese. The whites should be separated from the yolks. The recipe requires only whites, which are whipped with a pinch of salt until the mass begins to acquire a light foam, after which grated cheese is added to it.

All this is mixed until a viscous consistency is obtained, from which you subsequently need to roll into balls in your palms and roll them in flour.

Place a few balls at a time in a saucepan with vegetable oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, after which they can be served hot with beer!

Useful

There is nothing better than combining good taste and benefits in food. Oatmeal sticks for beer are a good example of just such a dish. To prepare them you will need instant oatmeal, aromatic herbs, turmeric, hard cheese, flour and light beer.

In dry form, first you need to mix flour, turmeric, oatmeal, herbs and salt. Next add softened butter and grated cheese. Pour beer over all this and mix until it forms a dough. Place the mixture on parchment paper and roll out into a rectangle 3-4 mm thick.

Cut the dough lengthwise into sticks, transfer to a wire rack and place in the oven for 15 minutes at 190 degrees. The finished sticks can be served with beer while still hot!

Another healthy snack for beer is ham and pea salad. The main ingredients you will need are: ham, peas, onions, chips and mayonnaise.

The first step is to cut the ham into strips and finely chop the onion. If there is any marinade, drain the peas.

All that remains is to make a mix of all the ingredients: add meat and onions to the peas, season with mayonnaise, and add some chips before serving.

Russians

Pike is a fish that appears more than once in Russian fairy tales. Did you know that you can make a delicious beer snack from it?

To prepare pike for beer, you first need to wash and cut it, leaving only the carcass and cutting it into 2 parts. Next, cut out even pieces of fish fillet. Chop 1 onion into rings and prepare the marinade: in 1 glass of warm water, dilute 5 g of sugar and salt, as well as half a teaspoon of vinegar. Then take a jar and place pieces of fish on the bottom, then onions, and so on in a circle 3 times.

Each layer can be generously sprinkled with spices - black pepper and coriander. At the end, pour the prepared marinade over everything and put the jar in the refrigerator for 1 day. After this time, the jar must be removed and the contents filled with sunflower oil.

In this form, pickled pike is stored for several days and can be served as a separate snack with beer.

Sandwiches made from Borodino bread and herring are another snack option imbued with the Russian spirit. To prepare you will need herring fillet, butter, Borodino bread, lemon and dill.

It is better to take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance so that it melts. Dill should be chopped into small pieces and mixed with soft butter.

Cut the bread into pieces suitable for the size of herring fillet pieces. The lemon must be chopped into rings, each of which is cut into 6 equal parts.

First spread butter mixed with dill on the bread, then put the herring fillet, top with a slice of lemon and garnish the whole thing with a whole sprig of dill.

Chicken

Chicken wings can be used to make a delicious snack with beer. Especially if you add hot sauce to them and bake them in an air fryer. To prepare the dish you need to take chicken wings, tkemali sauce and regular soy sauce, ground chili pepper, garlic, salt and refined oil.

The first step is to crush the garlic and mix it with tkemali sauce and sunflower oil. Rinse the wings and place them in a glass bowl, rubbing them with pepper and salt.

After this, pour the prepared marinade over the meat and mix it all. The wings must be pressed down with something heavy (for example, a plate) and left to marinate overnight or for a day. After this time, drain the marinade, place the wings on the air fryer and bake at 250 degrees. Cooking time - 20 minutes.

Or you can make wings, just like at KFC. To do this, you need to cut them in the joint area and salt to taste. Next add paprika, pepper and adjika. You can also use Tabasco sauce. Mix all this well and leave to marinate overnight.

At the same time, beat the eggs with a little water. Another ingredient is breadcrumbs; for color you need to put turmeric and ground oatmeal in them.

Dip the wings in flour, eggs and cereal and fry until cooked.

From pork

Pig meat can also go well with beer. Chinese-style pork is especially delicious. To prepare, you will need pork ribs, which should be washed and divided into 1 piece. In a separate bowl, mix: cognac (3 tbsp), starch, pepper and salt to taste, soy sauce (2 tbsp).

Place the ribs in the prepared marinade and refrigerate for 1 hour. Meanwhile, finely chop the garlic and onion, which should be fried in oil for 2 minutes. Add chicken ribs to garlic and onion and fry for 15 minutes. They must be stirred evenly. Add broth and 1 tsp to the meat. Sahara.

Simmer the pork for 20 minutes, uncovered, until all the liquid has evaporated. Cut 1 bell pepper into diamonds, place in a frying pan with the meat and fry for another 3 minutes. The beer dish is ready!

Beer drinkers can reduce food harm by focusing on the following low-calorie snacks:

  • popcorn;
  • hunting sausages;
  • rice crisps;
  • shrimps;
  • pita chips.

From all these products you can make a large beer plate, which in its beauty and taste is in no way inferior to more high-calorie dishes.
