  • eggs - 5 pcs.;

Then we quickly take out our finished cake, place the towels on the table, and then, very carefully, turn the biscuit on it, remove the paper from above and cover it with jam as soon as possible.

After this, the dough with jam must be turned into a roll, then we do the same with the rest of the dough. To make it even tastier, cook a fondant. To do this, melt the butter in a small container, add a little water to it (about 4-5 tablespoons).

Home made wine from jam

Home made wine from jam

If you have prepared too much jam and it, standing in the pantry, is already beginning to slowly be sugared, then you can make excellent home-made wine from it. Any, even old jam (but not moldy and not spoiled) will do. Wine made from jam is strong, dessert and delicious. First, it is better to prepare a small portion of wine for the sample.

So you will need:

  • candied old jam - 1 liter.
  • boiled water - 1 liter.
  • raisins - 120 gr. (you can replace 300 gr. fresh washed grapes)

Cooking process:

1. Rinse the 3-liter bottle well and rinse with boiling water for sterilization. Put jam in it (you can take assorted jam), add 120 gr. raisins (soaking it before this is not necessary) or 300 gr. washed grapes, after mashing it. Pour all 1 liter of warm boiled water. Shake everything well and taste. If not sweet enough, add sugar or honey.

2. Make a cork - in cheesecloth, folded in two layers, wrap a cake of cotton wool with a diameter slightly larger than the neck of a bottle. Close the bottle with this cork so that not a single click remains. Put the wine in such a way that direct sunlight does not fall on it.

3. After about 7-10 days, the pulp from the berries will rise to the top. Having passed, pour the wine into another bottle, and put on a ready-made lid for wine (you can take a regular plastic lid, make a hole in it and insert a rubber tube into it). Lower the back end of the tube into a container of water. Put the wine in a dark place for 40 days, and as soon as the gas stops coming out of the tube, strain the wine, transfer it to the bottle and put it in a cool dark place for 20 days.

It's no secret that you can make delicious pastille or marmalade from jam. It is very simple to do this - you only need gelatin and some water if the jam is thick. It is necessary to dissolve the gelatin in water and add to the jam, according to the instructions indicated on the package. If the jam is with berries, then first you need to wipe it well so that the mass is homogeneous. After adding the gelatin, remove the jam in the refrigerator and after a few hours you will have wonderful marmalade.

If you have jam for several years and no one is going to eat it, there are two options for how to benefit from it - bake a cake or make wine.

Old jam cupcake

For a cupcake, jam from any fruit or berries is suitable, even if it is with seeds. Pour a glass of jam into a bowl and add one teaspoon of soda to it, mix well until the mixture foams, and leave for 15 minutes. The longer the jam was on the shelf, the more it will give foam and, therefore, the cake will be more magnificent.

Add a glass of kefir, half a glass of sugar and flour to the mixture. The amount of flour depends on the consistency of the remaining ingredients. So, if the jam is liquid, it will need up to three glasses of flour, and in a thick jam it will be enough to put 2 glasses of flour.

Mix all the ingredients well and, if the dough is not a very attractive color, do not get upset. Its color depends on the jam used and will change during the baking process.

Pour the dough into a greased mold and bake at 180 ° C until cooked (about 40 minutes).

When the cake cools down, cut it horizontally into two cakes, grease one of them with cream (you can use boiled condensed milk or sour cream, whipped with sugar) and combine the two cakes together. The top of the pie is also greased with cream and garnished with grated chocolate, coconut or candied fruit.

Wine from Old Jam

The jar in which the wine will be prepared must be washed and sterilized well. Boil water corresponding to the amount of jam that you are going to put on the wine and cool to room temperature.

Pour water and jam into the jar, mix well and add raisins (for each liter of jam, 100 grams of raisins, which do not need to be washed).

We put a medical glove on the neck of the can and, so that it does not fly off, we tie it to the neck with twine.

For about 40 days, the jar should be kept in a dark place. All this time, the glove will be filled with air - a sign that fermentation is taking place in the jar. When the air completely leaves the glove, the fermentation of the wine is over and it can be poured into bottles. Bottling wine should be done carefully so as not to raise the sediment at the bottom of the can and prevent it from falling into the bottles.

Bottles with ready-made wine are aged for at least two months in the basement in a horizontal position and only then can the drink be consumed.

In this way, high-quality wine from natural products is obtained.
